Oh why now? It's too late. |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by HacheNoire: 5:10pm On Jun 11 |
WorkTheTalk:That’s what will happen with our kind of politics! The police force will be the pet dog of the governor. State thugs and hooligans will now have more power since their master, which is the governor, will now have ultimate power over security. The whole Federal force they goat scared of will disappear. |

Sheuns:I know you aren't Igbo but it will do the Yoruba alot of good not to appoint a single non Yoruba in their police. I'm from Edo State and Edo State must not employ non Edo Indigenes in our police. Make everybody go they police and represent their own states. |

| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Tsarbomba(m): 5:12pm On Jun 11 |
Campaign strategy to fool the gullibles 😁. If you really believe that tinubu will sign that bill then you are very gullible. They just want to make it to seems like they care for the masses or so that peter obi won't use it as a campaign propaganda for his presidential ambition. I repeat, tinubu won't sign that bill untill he won his second term election so that northern governors won't that to frustrate his second term ambition, the more you look the more you see 😏.! |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by ikeno(m): 5:13pm On Jun 11 |
It's a good development, just hope some scrupulous big men and politicians will not be using them to intermediate and oppresse the people |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Sugarboyy(m): 5:13pm On Jun 11 |
Gbadugbakun:You nor read the bill? There won't be Federal police in a state that has state police. Even if there is a federal police, I believe the job of the federal police will become limited in a state...e.g they can only be seen on federal roads in a state for road blocks |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Flexyup: 5:13pm On Jun 11 |
WorkTheTalk:That is going to be the defect/disadvantage of this bill. Our governors cannot just be trusted. The worst will be the state assembly. I hope the insecurity matters will not get worse if we have incompetent governors managing state policing |

| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by MrDIY: 5:18pm On Jun 11 |
This would systematically cause more problems than good if it eventually got passed and assented to my the Senate and the President of the federal republic respectively. It might sound all crazy now, nobody should ask me “WHY”, we’re all going to understand “WHY” I said this when that time comes. |

| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Tonnyray: 5:23pm On Jun 11 |
This is a most welcome development. I see it being given accelerated assent in the Senate. We are getting there slowly but surely. |

No be everything we go copy oga. The sign of intelligence is to figure out what bEst works for you We copy bicameral legislation and see what nonsense we made of it Separated federal and state but conveniently ignored local government Earthstorms: |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Kobojunkie: 5:27pm On Jun 11*. Modified: 6:02pm On Jun 11 |
Anishinaabe:You only copied it on paper. You didn't make real attempts to implement or use any of it to your benefit. Worse, you inserted Sharia, a system completely incompatible with the bicameral system, into your constitution to ensure its failure from even before its beginning. ![]() The existence of Sharia meant a two-tier policing system was in place from the get-go. That has never worked out anywhere, even in all of the over 54 known Sharia countries out there, where we see to this day Islamists killing other Islamists(non-Islamists have their lives truncated without so much as a peep from the establishment) while those in power watch as the norm. ![]() |
| Re: House of Reps passes State Police Bill by Kobicove(m): 5:28pm On Jun 11 |
WorkTheTalk:Of course they would hijack it since the governors are the ones who will be responsible for paying their salaries. If this state police nonsense comes into effect we shall see a proliferation of small arms and ammunition in the country amount touts and layabouts |
