No other North/Central American countries have the financial & economic clout to host a world cup...the entire Central America is in shambles, even Mexico is just being managed

The same thing will happen when they rotate it back to Africa next mundial, they're gonna have to work with whatever the North African Arabs offer them, because the entirety of sub-saharan Africa is a godawful mess financially, economically or even security-wise....abi why do you think CAF continues to kiss Morocco's @ss

.. FIFA says it has no power and jurisdiction over a country visa concerning players, coaches and other team staffs

I don't understand the idea of these nations applying to host the world cup an denying players and referees entry into their countries.

Civilized societies\countries don't fraternize with criminals, convicted or alleged. It is better you quickly clear your name through every legal means to stand any chance, that is why people try as much as possible to steer away from crime in societies where things work.

@ bolded, the guy has "allegations of rape" in the UK. He should be presumed innocent until proven guilty before dem begin crucify am. I pray he is innocent of all the charges levelled against him.

What is intelligent in collecting visa fees, granting the visa making the person to buy ticket and then denying the person entry?

If you don't want somebody in your country, atleast have the testicular fortitude to chop the person visa fee and deny him the visa.

The US has already granted him a visa and he has passed through US Immigration as I understand. Has no problem with US laws which are slightly different.

The US requires a conviction apparently, Canada on the other hand just requires an official allegation, aka, a charge to deny at the discretion of border control.

FIFA should have made it clear to teams what is possible and what isn't and except they can get the teams diplomatic passports I cannot see first world countries breaking their own laws simply because hey are hosting international events.

I mean these countries host a lot of events in the course of a typical year from concerts, exhibitions, sports events, high profile meetings. They break the law for one, they break the law for all and trust me lawyers are just waiting for such loopholes.

Partey is even lucky his case is already in the judicial pipeline, if not he may have been arrested as per international warrants issued for fugitives. These guys at the borders listen to news. Their Intel is top notch.

This is educative, but pls let me ask:

1. If Partey is now declared innocent by the court, what then happened? . Will they issue an apology or ask for the match to be replayed?
2. if one banny accused their president tomorrow, will he have to resign just because of the accusation which most often times are not true?
3. Since one president close to them is a documented convicted felon, will they also deny him entry? and that one is not even an accusation but already convicted.

Abi no be civilized society again where all are equal?
