He is not in detention, he has been sentenced by a court of law. This is not a lawless country. You can be insulting a judge in his court and expect him to pardon you.

On reading these jargons, a foreigner who’s unfamiliar with the happenings in Nigeria would think there have been no Fulani killings in the south east🤣🤣

Mr Nnamdi Kanu's detention makes a lot of sense to the establishment and to the state. The charges and conviction are in line with the allegations.

The problem here is simple. The failure of eastern leaders to make his case a political one rather than a criminal one right from the get go.

There was no concerted effort at making his case as one of agitation for equity and justice, the foundation of the movement.

The people and leadership of the Niger Delta managed the militancy to the extent no one is in the slammer today for the deaths and destruction of that period, rather a half hearted amnesty and a few carrots have been dangled to quieten the movement.

But where are the equivalent of the Ijaw elders that engaged with the polity and acted as mediators....

By trying to make this an election issue you have just given your opponents a stick with which to beat you. They will make his case about you and not about the East in general. They will side step the issues and make you the lightning rod.

with the way I see things, Obi will be buried politically next year. Atiku /Amaechi is even stronger than Obi/Kwakwaso. Do you think Kano is going to vote in OK next year like it happened during last election (Kwakwaso having million votes) even Lagos state won't repeat the same mistake. Politics is about sacrifice and Obi is too greedy to see that.
