Btruth:Is it also very clear that Ayédèrú JagaBandiot of Borgu is a northerner whose betrayal of Yorubas and southerners is a reoccurrence since before he begged Abacha to make him Lagos state administrator?

I hope and pray this news get to the IGP and call those overzealous officers to order,we can not afford this kind of unnecessary overzealousness or sabotage when all hands should be on deck to arrest and overcome the menace of kidnapping and banditry |

These days people should fear these men in uniform. |

This is the reason Sunday Igboho did not enter the forest to rescue the kidnapped victims without the approval of Seyi Makinde. It's been more than 20 days, and Seyi Makinde has not done anything reasonable, and he did not allow Sunday Igboho and other Yoruba fighters to enter. |

Fulani kidnapped in Abia State yesterday, and demanded 10million. Even before ESN came, YOUTHs have already entered the bush on their own, to rescue the victims. As ESN came into the mix, they caught the 6 kidnappers, rescued the women kidnapped and did the needful. No noise... Now Cry Blood Zooposki: |

Religion doesn't surface on this thread even from the op and the commenters. If this were to be somewhere in the north or during Buhari era, hmmm, the fulanis vis-a-vis Islam would've been drenched in insult. |

This is not an issue if truly they are hunters they will free them one thing I'm sure of with the kidnapping tension in Oyo and see life "Bulllets" with somebody on a "Bike" it wll be difficult for police to just free them without being sure hey are truly hunters. Look their is 3 action word here: . Rampage Kidnapping . Bullets with men . On the Bike And we all know kidnappers used bikes and bullets always with them. As I said if they are hunters they will be free. |

And this is probably the crux of what the police want to get to the bottom of. Most people commenting probably didn't understand what really happened. The hunters after fierce exchange with the "aji enyan gbe" ( people who steal human) Ran out of pellets , they now called someone in nearby village to bring some for them. Theperson , who was detained is the courier. Not the hunters who rescue the stolen person. The police have a point , the pellets can be used by hunter or gunman ( known and unknown). The gunrrunner is their ultimate target. The question now becomes how do hunters, local vigilance and village security outfits get their peanuts legitimately avoiding this kinda negative press. It would be best to publicly name the DPO/Presiding Police Officer of the station/case where this issue took place |

KingRabota:From the best of my knowledge, local hunters are registered with the NPR as community policing unit. I know the police wants to physically verify that the extra ammunition was used for legitimately and not criminally. Only that they way of doing that is controversial. I believe the matter maybe settled, as the efforts of community leaders, top rich men and the youths will be involved. |

FortCavazosKnox:The hunters are spoiling business for the police. If you want police to secure the release of your kidnapped relatives, you pay heavily for "mobilisation and logistics" but the hunters did it for free. Hunters spoil business for police. |

Police know they are registered But in this case , they'll also wanna know who supplies them ? Is he/they registered?? and How do they move their merchandise ?? This investigation is most likely about source tracing of a suspected gurunner , they may also have other information they're keeping secret, For now TheStoriesOfMan: |

Nothing new here. Seun kuti said it when he was released from the prison. He said on every kidnapping gangs brought to the prison, there is always one or two Police officers among them. FortCavazosKnox: |

sweetonugbu:Yes, police have to detain them because the hunters deprived them of their own share of the ransom expected to be collected by the kidnappers |

Those officers are obviously working with the kidnappers. Na vex say those hunters don block that ransom money for those particular victims make police arrest the hunters. What a country |
