7 Alamkiir:Because it never happened. Pedolf just trolling Iran to look tough and smart to its gullible supporters. I like the way Iran is ignoring his bogus claims since it changes nothing on the ground. |

⚡France may exit the Franco-German MGCS tank project — the third major bilateral defense program to collapse after the FCAS fighter jet was scrapped last week. Rheinmetall CEO says France is considering cutting the budget to less than half, and the project has paid out just €25M total since 2017. Franco-German defense cooperation is unraveling.

⚡Airbus is increasingly considering partnering with Sweden’s Saab after the collapse of the Franco-German-Spanish FCAS next-generation fighter program. Airbus and Saab have held exploratory talks for at least six months, supported by improving German-Swedish defense ties. Airbus is also evaluating involvement in the UK-Italy-Japan GCAP fighter project, with Leonardo signaling Germany would be a welcome partner.

⚡Qatar has proposed a $12 billion package for Iran to break the deadlock in talks: $6 billion would come from releasing Iran’s frozen funds in Qatar, while another $6 billion would be provided as a loan or credit line. The previously agreed restrictions on the $6 billion released funds—limiting them to humanitarian spending under the 2023 Iran-U.S. framework—would remain in place. Iran would be able to decide how to use the additional $6 billion credit facility. |

LordAdam16: ![]() Omo. That backdoor deal took the US by surprise. Trump acted like he authorized it to save face. ![]() Now that the UAE, Saudi and Qatar are out, Iran can now have enough breathing space to concentrate its missiles on the rest, especially on the genocidal vipers. But, things can change quickly. What if the US, given their level of treasury, starts relaunching attacks from those countries towards Iran, won't that force Iran to respond by hitting back at them despite the deal that has been struck? Whatever, the US is only delaying the obvious: Iran will have everything end on its terms. |

⚡AfD MEP Alexander Sell: We want nuclear power. We do not want to exit coal. We also want to import Russian gas — we are not in favor of the sanctions. The sanctions have hurt us more than the Russians. The Russians are just exporting their gas and oil to China or to India, and India is selling us diesel and kerosene at much higher prices.

⚡AfD MEP Alexander Sell: Germany's bankrupt. Last year the German federal budget — one quarter could not be covered without going into debt. That situation is getting worse because tax estimations for this year are getting worse — because of the economic crisis, because of layoffs, less taxes coming in. Germany cannot keep on paying for the European Union. Germany is paying the lion's share — one quarter. Brussels wants twice as much, which will add up to 50 billion euros from Germany. It's not going to work."

Appleyard:there are bilateral/multilateral discussions happening in the background about a regional non-aggression pact these money deals form part of preparatory moves toward that there are ongoing tête-à-tête about how to manage tensions during the war/ceasefire still, there are thresholds the us will not hit iran's oil/gas infrastructure and iran will refuse to hit uae, qatar, saudi infrastructure because of an "understanding" or a couple of billions interestingly, the pact will have military and economic components the firm participants are pakistan, turkey, iran, saudi, oman, and qatar uae is the surprise addition and it is still unclear if they will want to be included in a broad pact or have a separate bilateral understanding with iran egypt is still sorta pissed at iran because the houthis cost them billions in lost revenue from suez canal biz, so they aren't exactly enthusiastic about it nor are they opposed kuwait, bahrain, and jordan have zero agency so they will not be part of the discussions, they'll only sign on after the details are ironed out or have their interests covered/introduced by a third party -Lord |
