UAE denied attacking Iran back in March 2026, after Iran fired missiles at the nation. Since then, Iran has continued to provoke the UAE and many of the other Gulf states into the war. We are now in June, and things may have changed since then.

That said, the UAE has, in the last 24 hours, come out to deny all claims that money has changed hands between the UAE and Iran.

Guy, use common sense na.

The UAE was the largest recipient of Iranian missiles during the thick of the battle. But, during the last skirmishes, not a single missile was fired from Iran upon it. You mean to say Iran just suddenly decided to not bomb them again in out of pity, if a deal hasn't been reached? The recent events only confirms the news that a background deal was reached, and more is still being concluded behind closed door, which also include Saudi, and Qatar.

Just give it sometime, the UAE will admit it.

If you have been following this whole debacle, you'll know not to believe all statements issued by all sides. So many denials and half-truths.

Btw, I didn't even see the news until entering nairaland now. Reuters have even reported it.

The UAE also called reports of destabilising Sudan by arming and funding the RSF baseless, but we all know the truth now.

This morning's attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran.

Israel has the right to defend itself, but the attack it was responding to was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process.

There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon, but there should also be no more attacks by any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel.

This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace — Let's not blow it!
