Josywhyte:Wrong! Forgiveness means forgetting but does man stop doing things which he would require forgiveness for? No. And that is where man has a case to answer. Now you understand why Christ said "go and sin no more" AFTER He has forgiven a person. |

femi4:You obviously did not read what happened to Saul and Esau and even when Moses asked The Lord not to punish the Israelites for the golden calf sin. The servant's sin was even forgiven before he went to commit another one. Can you count how many "another ones" sat has committed? |

femi4:It is a case of "I have forgiven you but I will still punish you". That is the same canoe Satan would have fallen/would fall into. |

| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 9:08pm On Jun 14 |
GravityDefier:No. It is not. "i have forgiven you but I will still punish you" means that God has given them the grace of a reduced sentencing and (probably reduced charges of sin) instead of the full package just is, punishment equal to their sin. Sat still has many full blast charges against him of which every second he racks up more. No way he can ever be forgiven which is why he does not even ask just like Saul, Solomon, Sodom and Gomorrah etc |

Dtruthspeaker:Why does He want to judge us on the judgement day? Answer me oga |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Josywhyte: 9:30pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:But we're going to be judged according to our sins right? |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 9:34pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:More accurately we are going to be judged for our deeds, both the good and the bad. It is not correct to say "we're going to be judged according to our sins". This is a glaucomaic view. |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 9:39pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:Because we all are asking Him for Judgement since He created us and others who affected. That is when all the God bless... and God puni..... we say will be full filled |

| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Josywhyte: 9:52pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:Are going to be judged based on our sins? Yes or no? Stop being confusional please. Just answe the question. I don't like it when people are being over religious. Na oyibo people bring this religion give us o. But we don too take am over the bar, like say we know this God or religion pass them |

Dtruthspeaker:Be plain to me. Which church do you attend? |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 9:56pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:I clearly stated that "It is not correct to say "we're going to be judged according to our sins". And that it we are going to be judged for our deeds, both the good and the bad. Or do you want to tell us that deeds and sins are the same thing? Josywhyte:But you kon come the religion kon dey show say you know the religion na, since you sef read wetin dey book. Si |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 9:59pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:I stopped attending church since 2016 or so. But if you want to know my church history, then it is Methodist, Catholic and Rccg. After that, i made the Bible my church and Teacher |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Josywhyte: 10:01pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:You said God will judge us based on sins and the good things we do right? These sins are the ones we commit right from when we knew our left from right or knew good from bad. Yes or no? |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 10:06pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:I said "we are going to be judged for our deeds, both the good and the bad. And even the dictionary tells you that Deeds and sins are not the same thing. |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by GravityDefier: 10:07pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:I just view it as: (i) "CAUSE AND EFFECT" has already been set in place (which might vary from person to person e.g two persons committing same atrocity and being punished differently). (ii) Forgiveness DOES NOT ALWAYS automatically deter the EFFECT in point (i) above. So, many will live with the EFFECTS of their past despite being forgiven. Examples are the people you already cited: Moses, David etc. |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Josywhyte: 10:13pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:Our deeds are either good or bad, right? This judgement will be done from the good deeds to the bad deeds. And these bad deeds are the sins we commit while the good deeds are the righteous ways we live with God and His principles. One fact I still sustain is that God forgives, but does not forget. That's why we'll be judged on that DAY! Make nobody whine you bro |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 10:28pm On Jun 14 |
Josywhyte:Yes! Deeds are either good or bad and whenever deeds are judged, their goodness or badness are also automatically assessed. So, there is nothing like "judgement will be done from the good deeds to the bad deeds". And this thread shows that i have put it to you that forgiveness means forgetting. But that the problem is that man always commits a new sin that makes him liable for punitive Judgement on the Day of Judgement. So, no whine yourself |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Josywhyte: 10:31pm On Jun 14 |
Dtruthspeaker:What's the "new sin" please? Mention a few. |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 10:43pm On Jun 14 |
GravityDefier:With God, there is no punishing differently. That is one of the things that makes Him just. As it was with Ananias so was it to Sapphira. As it was for the Canaanites, so it was for Israel. So, there isn't anywhere, where 2 persons committing the same offences and then God punished them differently. That would not be just and God never ever did that. Their offences must have been different for the punishment to be different. Forgiveness only means a stay or cessation or reduction of a punitive effect which is deliberately delivered to an offender, which is different from the natural consequence of committing that offence. Exactly as when you bash a person's car breaking your bumper, headlights and radiator to the person's damaged boot and rear lights.. if the person forgives you by taking his vehicle away, you still have bear the effect of fixing your own damage |

Josywhyte:Lets take it that after you are forgiven last year, 2025, is it that you did not sin since last year till today 2026? If you sinned, are those not fresh sins that you would require a fresh forgiveness for? |
| Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by A1kennedy(m): 7:28am On Jun 15 |
Yes! This is true as no one is above forgiveness. But just like Paul, they must not go back to sin. When Paul repented he never went back to sin till his death. The prayer is like this: I am marrying Jesus and sin must not put asunder till death Amen. |

Dtruthspeaker:Let's take these four instances: SCENARIO 1 When the oxen stumbled and the Ark of the Covenant began to fall off the cart, Uzzah reached out to steady it with his hands. No unauthorized person was to touch the Ark, Uzzah was struck dead on the spot. -- (2 Samuel 6:6-7) SCENARIO 2 Saul took it upon himself to perform the priestly sacrifice before a battle, a duty GOD RESERVED STRICTLY for the prophet Samuel. Instead of an immediate execution, the consequence was the loss of his dynasty; his kingdom would be torn away from his family line and given to another. --(1 Samuel 13:9-14) SCENARIO A The Holy of Holies was meant for only the high priest and was only accessible once in a year when atonement would be performed. And the Priest had to perform some cleansing for himself first, otherwise na OYO be him case -- instant death. SCENARIO B From scenario A above, the Holy of Holies has now been moved to the human body (1 Corinthians 6:19–20 :The Believer's Body). Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm (Psalm 105:15) -- This is a warning. It is God's declaration warning foreign powers and oppressors to leave His Holy of Holies/ chosen people alone. But today, bandits and terrorists can kidnap, molest/maim this same temple of God with God inside of it. Scenarios 1 & 2 are related with different outcomes. While scenarios A & B are also closely related with different outcomes. |
