Hon Ben Nwankwo Asks If THE South East Is Really Influential? by Goodvibes007(op): 10:19pm On Jun 14
Igbos never voted for Buhari or Tinubu but they became president— Hon Ben Nwankwo asks if Igbos are really influential as a people.

Their votes are insignificant, but they never learn how to play politics in Nigeria.

The dot
Their votes cannot make anyone president. How many are they? One State in the north will swallow the votes coming from the south east.

Very unintelligent analysis, some pedestrian analysts just carry microphone 🎤 to confuse the weak minded.

Yoruba NEVER voted for OBJ and Yar Adua. Yet both were presidents, do we now call SW insignificant?

100,000s of Yorubas in each state if the SW still voted OBJ and Yaradua. They don't block vote like the Igbos, but their votes were still significant. Compare that to how Igbos voted Buhari twice and Tinubu once.

2023 Tinubu's vote:
Enugu 4,772
Ebonyi 42,402
Anambra 5,111
Abia 8,914
Imo 66,171

2019 Buhari's vote:
Enugu 54,423
Ebonyi 90,726
Anambra 33,298
Abia 85,058
Imo 140,463

2015 Buhari's vote:
Enugu 14,157
Ebonyi 19,518
Anambra 17,926
Abia 13,394
Imo 133,253
------------------------------------------
1999 Obasanjos vote:
Ogun 143,564
Lagos 209,012
Ondo 133,323
Osun 187,011
Ekiti 191,618
Oyo 227,668

2003 Obasanjos vote:
Ogun 1,360,170
Lagos 1,129,521
Ondo 840,988
Osun 582,089
Ekiti 301,185
Oyo 828,725

2007 Yaraduas and GEJ 2011 vote:

ward ke.....polling unit!

He isnt saying anything that hasn't been said before but you see that pride of accepting reality will be their greatest undoing politically!

The Igbos do well in virtually every other field but when it comes to politics they become emotional and play this self-defeatist game every single time.

@Goodvibes07 has given you the reply that's always been out there but folks like you choose to ignore and lie to yourselves about.

2027 will come again and you and you co-travelers will what you do best: self-sabotage!

What's my own when your block or is it concrete vote changes absolutely NOTHING!

Ojionu Soludo is working so hard to prove his worth to Tinubu.
He has unleashed his team to denigrate the Igbo nation over her political preference.

Stop lying.

Yorubas don't give block votes like your people. Obasanjo and Yaradua got very high votes in the south west

BTW: I am not Yoruba
Re: Hon Ben Nwankwo Asks If THE South East Is Really Influential? by DesireV:
Politics is alliance. You don't need all segments of the country to vote you to become president just as 1 or 2 region can never single handedly produce a president.

Just sweep an equivalent of 3 geopolitical zones and drag votes with your opponents in equivalent of 2. Even if you lose massively in the remaining one (which is where SE has consistently positioned themselves since 2015, making them feel politically inconsequential. Any zone that positions itself as such would seem so, even NW with 7 states) you're in.

Also, it's not a must your people vote you just get your allies to vote you like SW didn't massively vote OBJ.

A president can safely lose 5 states in any geopolitical zone and still win. So it's not a SE influence or not thing.

I think it's more of wrong political alliance lately.

Very true.

That is why the south east will never be president because they lack the ability to form alliances

The Igbo votes may not always determine who wins, but it has a remarkable record of spotting who shouldn't.

The two presidents they overwhelmingly rejected ended up being the worst presidents this country has ever produced.

By rigging elections abi
Igbos, in a free and fair election, always vote their conscience. They don't do primordial sentiments or banal patronage
Even Ojukwu lost his deposits in the East because the Igbos thought people like OBJ and Yar'Adua were better positioned to make things work.
An Igbo man has never won any state in the SW (apart from Lagos) since 1960. Can you say the same about the Yorubas.

The question should be; how has Nigeria prospered with those they didnt vote for? Unemployment, insecurity, power outages, lack of running water, and increasing economic hardship are still present. What then is the point?

E con be like sey na southeasterners sabi sef. Because so far the people they didn't vote for have performed the worst.
Re: Hon Ben Nwankwo Asks If THE South East Is Really Influential? by Ablesam171: 9:38am On Jun 15
Buhari got block vote in the north 3x but didn't become president until he formed alliance with people that can give him block vote in the south.
It's not about southeast influence it's about forming the right alliance.
No man is an island.

You voted for conscience and you voted a failure and disaster called Obi who's only achievements are deporting Northerners out of Anambra and demolition of mosque in Anambra.

Apart from being Igbo, what other reason did you people see to rig so massive failure in the 2023 presidential election
