Joe Jackson is the worst father anybody can wish for, the movie portrait him like he was a good person; he wasn't All his children hated him |

dauntless15:Well, part two is 40% complete. You don't expect a single movie to do justice to the biography of the most famous person who ever lived. Some called him the second most famous person after Jesus Christ. That movie within its 5 weeks of thetrical release had become just the highest grossing music biopic of all time on the planet and it's about to become the best selling biographical film ever, musical or otherwise. Part 2 will shed more light about other aspects of his life including the sexual allegations. Joe Jackson turned his sons into money making machines. I didn't see him as a monster until few days after Michael died and Joe went out on air and told the press that he was about to release albums from few artists he recently signed under his new label and he equally told the press that his dead son's old records were about to sell very well worldwide after his death. Can you imagine anyone on earth saying that crap few days after the death of his son? I was shocked, really shocked. Michael's former bodyguard said two days ago that there was a time Joe Jackson came to visit but Michael asked the bodyguard to demand that his dad present an appointment before he could visit. He also said there was a time his siblings came to visit probably to get him to rehab but Michael refused to see the female siblings including Janet Jackson but only opened his door to the Male siblings. All in all, we don't know if any human could have handled such a fame, such an abuse from a father and such unnecessary controversy (Someone suffering from vitiligo but his people hated him because they thought he bleached his skin) such a talent than Michael. It is easy to criticize when you are an anonymous Olusola in the village of Ogbomoso but can you compare that with a man who was the second most popular thing on the planet after Coca Cola? |

I absolutely agree with you. Father's tough love gets the job done in this life. Imagine if the father was absent and the kids were left to their mother's soft love, they'll not have become stars. I refuse to demonize Joe Jackson, to me he was the hero. |

I believe Joe Jackson loved his children the only way he was taught to love and that is through tough love, apart from that he also saw them as his ticket out of the projects. I believe the motivation was more on financial success for him than the tough love aspect because you can be strict with your children without being abusive at the same time and your children would grow up to love you for it. Personally I love my parents more now since I’m now a grown up with children who understands better now why they were strict raising us. I look at my children and want them to also become successful in life so I keep a bit of that strictness on while also showing them love. |

Host78:I think you did not do much research before the write up. Why did Janet pull out? Because the mr Jackson’s real abuse was not captured and some life altering situation with his father and how it affected was cut out. Some other family members felt that way. Also, the decision to just focus on celebrating his music to one stage with the later challenges in his life was due to legal constraints. It is a very feel good move that focus on his view of life and his personality |

I don't think I need to research a movie before reviewing it. It's watch and review what you saw. Kayautojun: |

Why would you want to watch a film that glorifies a pedophile? He abused likely hundreds of boys for decades. He actually stated in an interview that he admired the fact that in India, parents allowed their 10 year old daughter to marry an adult. And his family members are/were aware of it, and did nothing to stop it. It's so incredibly sick and dumb that some people will excuse all manner of depravity in a person because of wealth, fame, or because they like some shitty song. What kind of mental illness is that? |

Originalsly:You are right though, MJ is the family cash cow. MJ was the famous one and the richest among the brothers hence why his family depended on him for everything. And also I don't think the music biopic is wrong, just like the Queens Bohemian Rapsody wasn't wrong too. the biopic was made so that we the fans of MJ can celebrate MJ. Lastly the biopic has grossed $930 million for now, $1 billion is close already. |

We movie was made for we his fans to enjoy nobody send una nonsense low shallow review. To tell you that he will always be the innocent king of pop the movie is heading for $1b despite the war affecting the middle east where he has a huge fan base and the rush digital release. Like he would always say "Good art never dies." |

dauntless15:As for his father I am in-between. He was abusive yes but raising almost 10 kids to be successful as a black father then wasn't easy, we all know Africa parents are tough. He had a fallout with his father but Joe was there for him all though his court cases and false accusations. The last case where they thought MJ would be convicted Joe was the only bold person in court room and guarded MJ from reporters while leaving the court premises after his victory. Rumors also has it that MJ requested to involved Joe in his last concert when he felt they were closing on him few days before they succeeded in eliminating him. I personally feel that if Joe was there they wouldn't have succeed in carrying out MJ murder. I am cutting his father some slacks. |

iamL:Who murdered him? Someone overdosed on propofol you call it murder with a straight face? Negligence and carelessness doesn't equate deliberate murder, joe should have realized he's pushing mj to catastrophe, he just kept pushing anyway, he wouldn't have all these problems if it weren't for joe in the first place so being present in court cases or no, he's merely compensating for his abuse. |
