OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS DESTROY TERRORIST HIDEOUTS AS OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS COMMENCE IN KATSINA STATE Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) have commenced a deliberate offensive operation, code-named Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, targeting terrorist and bandit elements operating within Matazu Local Government Area and adjoining communities in Katsina State. The operation was launched following the unfortunate incident that led to the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists and bandits in the area. The operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the perpetrators of the heinous act, dismantling criminal networks and restoring security within the affected communities. Since the commencement of the operation on 14 June 2026, troops have conducted aggressive fighting patrols, intelligence-led raids, cordon-and-search operations and clearance missions across identified criminal hideouts and suspected terrorist enclaves within the Joint Operations Area (JOA). In the course of the ongoing offensive, troops recorded notable successes in the Dikkawa Hills general area and surrounding communities. Troops conducted clearance operations on identified terrorist hideouts in Adua, Nasarawa and Karaduwa areas, where several criminal enclaves were searched and combed. During the operations, terrorists' life-support structures and logistics bases were discovered and destroyed, further degrading the criminals' ability to operate within the area. The operation is being conducted in close collaboration with sister services, other security agencies and local stakeholders whose support continues to contribute significantly to ongoing efforts aimed at improving security within the state. The Theatre Command JTF OPFY wishes to reassure the good people of Matazu Local Government Area and neighbouring communities that troops remain committed to protecting law-abiding citizens and denying terrorists and bandits freedom of action within the region. Members of the public are encouraged to continue providing credible and timely information that could assist security agencies in tracking and apprehending terrorists and criminal elements. All information received will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Troops will continue to sustain pressure on criminal elements until the operational objectives are fully achieved. Further updates will be provided as the operation progresses. ALIYU DANJA Lieutenant Colonel Media Information Officer Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA 15 June 2026 |

airmark:I have tried severally to post about this but keep getting banned. Hopefully, this one stays up. Uncouth people like IIIbliss are one of the reasons Igbo's across get a lot of unnecessary heat across the country, especially in Lagos. Those comments, including the original comment were unnecessary. |

Roland17:I agree. Was very disgusted by his stupid comment. This is one of the reasons why Igbos get a lot of hate in Lagos especially. Totally unnecessary and dumb. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 8:22pm On Jun 15 |
Roland17:He acted too childish with the response. But his first statement is right. Its just like you and Airmark abroad. Arent you guys paying taxes? Arent you contributing to the growth of the country economy? If you are being attacked always for being a Nigerian, you wont have any choice than to reel out your positive contributions to the growth of the country..to prove you arent a nuisance. He allowed the lowlife to let him dirty him image. There are always people like that who arent worth anything, but will be quick to shout "you came to lagos with nylon". They want you to respond in a way everywhere will be heated up. Best thing is to ignore the guy |

Roland17:Really surprised when I saw the post. Unconsciously Illbliss has informed his hosts that Igbos investing in real estate are in it for a “territorial conquest”. Highly irresponsible of him. |

DHQ PRESS RELEASE TROOPS RESCUE WIFE OF FORMER DIRECTOR DEFENCE INFORMATION FROM BANDITS Troops of the Nigerian Army with the support of the Nigerian Air Force have successfully rescued Mrs Amina Abubakar, wife of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar and former Director Defence Information, who was abducted by bandits alongside her husband a few weeks ago. The rescue operation followed intensified search-and-rescue efforts conducted by troops of Operation FASAN YAMMA. During sustained offensive operations and pressure mounted on the criminal elements, troops made contact with the bandits at Tunga Village, leading to the successful recovery of Mrs Abubakar. In the course of the encounter, the bandits shot Mrs Abubakar before abandoning her and fleeing due to the overwhelming pressure from advancing troops. Mrs Abubakar was immediately evacuated and is currently receiving medical attention at a military hospital, where she is responding to treatment. The leadership of the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain committed to ensuring her full recovery and is providing all necessary support to her family during this difficult period. Troops will continue ongoing operations to track down and neutralise the perpetrators, while intensifying efforts to rid affected communities of terrorists not just in Katsina but in the entire nation. Emaprince:Baba, Yes, I pay taxes and contribute to the growth of my adopted country but I don't need to remind everyone I encounter that I am contributing to the growth of my adopted country. It doesn't have to be a constant conversation, I am not that insecure about who I am and my achievements as first an Igbo man, a Nigerian or human. If anything, those who know me and have encountered me on a personal level, including those here will tell you, I am always grateful to the US for the opportunity it has afforded me to live my dreams because Naija did not give me this chance and would never have. Despite our numerous issues, I defend the US and speak positively about it because the US has truly blessed me, more than I can ever repay the US. Living in a foreign space is a privilege, don't abuse it because it takes one policy/ law for everything to change and it would not matter if you have been paying taxes for 100 years or have acquired 200 properties! I mean, do you know how much our people lost in the North during the civil war? Or during "Oso Abiola"? Our people had their properties auctioned for pennies! It did not matter who they were, they lost everything. It did not matter if they were paying taxes to the States in the North. This is why as Igbos we believe in "Aku Ruo Ulo" because "Onye ma echi"? |
