https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbmncJIYcIw?si=TRj1Kreh6Fv2nIog The South African government will require more than 1,000 buses to facilitate the repatriation over 7,000 Malawian nationals currently stranded in Sherwood, Durban, chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration (IMC) Mmamoloko Kubayi announced on Sunday. The repatriation effort follows escalating protests demanding illegal immigrants leave the country by June 30. The recent spate of unrest, driven by civic groups like March and March and others, has propelled the government into action. At a Sunday media briefing in Pretoria, Kubayi said the repatriation process for the estimated 7,000 Malawians in Sherwood Park must be expedited, highlighting that their numbers have surged recently. "We are committed to ensuring the safe return of our citizens. Our transport requirements have drastically increased, and more than 1,000 buses are essential to facilitate this effort efficiently," Kubayi stated. Regarding the Malawian citizens at Sherwood, Kubayi revealed that the Malawian government has commissioned eight buses that will start moving their citizens today. To expedite the repatriation process, the South African government will support the effort with 10 additional buses for the deportation of some Malawian nationals. "So far, 980 Malawians have been deported from Lindela on 10 June as part of a crackdown. Going forward, the re-establishment of a court at Lindela will ensure that deportation from Lindela centre will be expedited," she added. During her address, Kubayi also unveiled alarming statistics surrounding illegal immigration, with law enforcement agencies having made over 40,000 arrests since the beginning of the year. This includes an impressive tally of 7,400 arrests in the past month alone, all in relation to violations of the Immigration Act. "There is a belief that the government is wilfully ignoring illegal immigration; however, this is far from the truth," Kubayi asserted. "Our operational efforts have not only been ongoing but also intensifying across various regions. For example, in recent weeks alone, 143 arrests have been made for not only illegal entry but also for inciting violence during the protests."

ALL MALAWIANS VERIED SO FAR FOUND TO BE IN SA ILLEGALLY The first 1140 Malawian nationals processed at a repatriation site in Durban were found to be in the country illegally, Deputy Home Affairs Minister Njabulo Nzuza said on Sunday, as authorities stepped up efforts to return thousands of foreign nationals to Malawi. "Of those that have been verified, they are all illegal," Nzuza said. The verification process is continuing and officials are conducting biometric checks against government databases to determine whether any of those being processed are linked to criminal matters. Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber said 2745 repatriations had been carried out since President Cyril Ramaphosa's address on migration and illegal immigration on 7 June, although he cautioned that the figure continued to change as processing and removals continued.

I have nothing against deportation of illegal migrants, as long as the process is carried out within the ambit of the law. What I am vehemently against is the harassment and looting of the shops and businesses of legal migrants. That is where the problem is. That is the xenophobia Africa should unite against. |

IronGalaxy:They are sending back illegal immigrants from their country. Every country does this so I will give South Africa that chance even though they have targeted people who are not illegal in their country but they hiding under the cover of illegal migrants. We have to be careful in this analysis. It's almost what the US does and they play the victim card but you find out the democrats have sent more people home than the republicans shout in the media. To come back home, I think I will allow them to run the course because they need to remind the home governments of their work. At the end, it will also remind the South African government of the work to do because when they don't have migrants to blame anymore, the last card will be the joker card 🃏

IronGalaxy:Yeah I'm not even against this. The issue with you lots is attacking foreigners both documented and illegals, destroying and looting foreign businesses and killing them too. People get repatriated everyday if they're not documented and are illegally staying in a host country but y'all attitude and approach is the problem. It's sickening. I don't even know why those people aren't leaving already. What's to gain in a hostile environment? |

In fact this is when the South African people will now discover their worth and class and of course they will be going higher now. It is now that the people of SA will experience massive progress... watch out!! Let the illegals leave their country!!! |
