Hello everyone, I am facing an issue with NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), and I need to make an inquiry if anyone can help. The name my school sent to the NYSC portal is "Mustapha John," but the name on my O level and JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board) certificates is "Mustapha John Olawale," so the "Olawale" part is omitted. I don't want to go and serve with two different names. I went to my school's student affairs department, and they told me there is no inclusion in NYSC. When I asked the NYSC officials, they said the school can solve it. I am feeling frustrated, and I would really appreciate anyone's help. Thank you.

How were you able to solve this?

I'm facing this exact issue right now. My middle name is missing from my nysc documents but it's there in all my other documents like my Jamb, Waec, statement of result and student ID card.

FIXED BY ADDING IT TO THE NYSC PORTAL BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO REISTER FIRST TO INCLUDE THE NAME

hii, good evening, the name on my waec result is Ikhelowa Abdulmalik Imoreshiogbe, while the name on my jamb result is Ikhelowa Adewale Abdulmalik,I am currently in 100lv, and I am following the name on my waec result as my official name, so it means when I graduate my university certificate name would be my waec name making it different from my jamb name, pls what is the solution towards applying for nysc,I applied for change of name on jamb caps but it wasn't approved by jamb

just seeing this now, well i register online and apply for the name correction which was approved in few hours and make sure the name tally with your o level cus that is the determining factor, have you register for your nysc?

I am still in 100lv sir, just wanted to know the solution to the issue ahead of time and yes the name tallies with my waec certificate only that it does not tally with my jamb name

So, when registering for UTME in 2017, out of ignorance, I created the profile with a middle name, while all my documents has two names(no middle name.
But before I was offered admission, I did the correction and sent the indemnity forms to my state's JAMB office as is expected when the applicant is yet to be admitted.

Seven years after, the change still has not effected.
I visited my school's students' affairs officer, he asked me if the name on fslc, waec, and NIN are just two, I said yes. He then asked me to take those documents to jamb office.
I went to JAMB office, I was told that I would be notified through e-mail from Abuja about the change. I told them that since 2017, I have not received any response from them.

I still have a copy of the indemnity I filled and submitted in 2017

Please, I am worried. I just finished my final exams, by God's grace and have been worried my seven years in school would be a waste, because I can't serve.

I don't know anyone in Abuja to help me, I am worried please.

No your years in school wont be waste just proceed with your nysc registration upon doing that you will see an option to correct your name just make sure your name is correct in yout JAMB because that is what they will use in verifying the name.

I went and made a newspaper publication regarding name change, attached a copy of the newspaper evidence to other relevant documents and submitted them to my students' affairs officer. I also applied for name correction on the JAMB portal concurrently.
