Suppose Bianca were a Yoruba woman, the prisoners being transferred were mostly Yorubas, and they were singing her praises in Yoruba. Are you honestly saying no Igbo commentator would question the optics?

And if they did, would that automatically make them Yoruba haters?

Criticism of Bianca's conduct is perfectly legitimate. Public officials are not above scrutiny. Playing the ethnic card only weakens the defence and makes a valid debate unnecessarily tribal.

Not every criticism of an Igbo public figure is hatred of Igbos. Sometimes criticism is simply criticism.

Unfortunately, for people with a deep-seated persecution mentality, every disagreement is interpreted as hostility and every critic becomes an enemy.

That mindset does not strengthen the tribe; it isolates it.

Bianca is a beautiful, classy and cosmopolitan woman who has represented Nigeria with grace and distinction.. None of that is in dispute.
But dismissing critics as "Igbo haters" is an argument for the emotionally insecure, not the intellectually serious.

Useless grammar cannot hide useless arguments.

First, let us stop pretending that tribal prejudice is the exclusive preserve of one group. I have seen countless instances on this very forum where some Igbos express open hostility towards Yorubas, Hausas and Fulani.

The difference is that other groups seem less inclined to cultivate a permanent persecution complex and victim mentality.

Everybody has extremists.

Nobody has a monopoly on prejudice.

Second, in the specific case of Bianca Ojukwu, I asked you a simple rhetorical question.

You conveniently dodged it.

Instead of answering, you changed the subject to "hatred against Igbos."

That, unfortunately, is becoming a familiar pattern.

Not every disagreement with an Igbo politician is hatred of Igbos.

Not every criticism is tribalism.

And not every uncomfortable question is evidence of persecution.

As our elders say:

"The man who cries wolf at every barking dog will one day find nobody listening when the wolf truly arrives."

Please answer the question I asked.

Running away from it and shouting "hatred" is not an answer. 🙂
