Even if countries are "fixed", people will still travel. But I see your point - at least, they'd get respect. I'm sure South Africans won't harass Brits or Americans or Saudis. It's people from poor African countries that get treated poorly.
Yes, those countries they dont harrass provide huge values. Most african countries wants to finish South Africa with pressure.
I am someone who stays out of sentiment.
The pressure on SA is too much for such a developing country, if they dont fix it, the country would be dragged down.
Migrate as a scientist, brain surgion, high valued AI engineer, migrate with huge capital for huge investment. That is what SA needs, not petty unskilled worker who migrates illegally, now starts roaming the streets looking for what to do. Do u know how annoying it is when u meet someone who is migrating and u ask the person, what will u be doing in SA? He or she will say, they are going to look for low skilled work, no high valued skill, no huge capital, etc. SA is not a developed country. Countries that can accomodate such low skill workforce are Developed countries like the US, Canada, UK, Italy, Germany, etc. Even these countries I mentioned, some groups are calling for tougher immigration policies. So, if a developed country can cry, imagine a struggling developing country.
It is like looking at Nambia now with very small population but very stable society, and boom, she experiences huge population that will mount pressure on her health sector, education, infrastructures, etc, Namibia will collapse then. See eh, as some countries have decided to be useless with their choices of leaders and birth kids anyhow with no plan, they should not go and be disturbing another country that is managing her self. I support what SA citizens are doing with full chest. If I will migrate to any country, I will migrate with huge capital for investment as an expatriate, or very highly valued skilled worker. Blacks are cowards who run away from their wicked politicians. Fight those monsters and fix your country. If we had a working country, na others go dey hustle to dey come here. But foolishness have made us ruin our country and we want to pressure others to spoil like our country.

Yes, the root of the problem is low skill immigration and the fact that SA simply can’t absorb the number it’s receiving. But you get a situation where “Nigerian” becomes a label, a four-letter word. I’ve seen posts online poo-pooing the idea of a “Nigerian doctor”, calling it an oxymoron.

Unfortunately, these things sometimes take on a life of their own.

Unfortunately, everything has good and bad. This is the consequencies for all us for keeping quiet and running away instead of fighting to fix our own country. If we had a comfortable country, most migrating would be proper expatriates with high value and would be respected. No one respects a country whose citizens roam around the entire world looking for cleaning jobs. They are treated trashly. It is a norm.
Everyone will pay for it: the good and the bad!

Can you now see that the xenophobic attack is government sponsored. I kept saying that , the government of south Africa is sponsoring their citizens to attack other black Africans and pretend like they know nothing about it. You can hear him saying "they must go".

South Africa will pay for their sins and evil against their fellow black Africans , either now or later, but anytime soon.
What is paining you now?

South Africans are asking you to stay back in your country and stop coming to their space to commit all sorts of crimes

Why are you wailing miserably.

I see white take over South Africa years to come. From a very reliable info I got, the white influence the south africa government to push black away specifically Nigerians because they always oppose them.

The bigger truth is the whites want them to send away black brothers who are supposed shield them from their evil plots and plans. Apartheid is coming back in a more brutal way. Unfortunately, Nigeria won't be there as a big brother to help them in overcoming their white fellow South Africans. Then, they are going to reap whatever they showed. The days of mass bitter tears are coming. I wish, the xenophobic attackers themselves experience it and not their descendants.
Na lie!

It's because your people go to their country to commit crimes like kidnapping, drug trafficking, armed robberies etc

Stay back in your country and stop constituting nuisance in another man's space

You people keep talking about a white takeover as if you had voting rights or liked black South Africans. All the insults on black South Africans came from you foreign nationals living in SA from decades ago and then spread to your home countries. So you wouldn't have fought with us anyway since y'all are such white worshippers.

Ki
There's a national consensus around anti-immigration sentiments in South Africa. Like I've argued before, it's not a cultural problem (an inherent hate of foreigners). The reasons are far more mundane - economics (the perception that foreigners are taking their jobs and opportunities) and the framing of crime as a foreigner problem.

The few influential people who see the danger in what's going on can't speak out, because they will face repercussions. You can ask Julius Malema about this. And you can see how the arts minister is calling out the justice minister.

Note that anti-immigration sentiments are common in all countries with high levels of immigration. It's why you had BreXit. It's why characters like Trump are in the White House. The South African flavour is the violence that attends the matter. I think the government could have prevented that by tightening border controls and deporting illegal residents.

Of course, they will soon find out that sending the foreigners home doesn't solve their problems. This matter get bia bia. I hope it's resolved peacefully in the end.
How do you resolve what is not the "source" of the real problem which is plaguing the country, which is corruption, government ineptitude and slow economic growth.

You send those Malawians back and, in a few months, they will be back. You might be able to reduce the numbers but for a while but if the real problems are not addressed this will not go away unless of course we want to go the extreme end and start unaliving people.

They is one thing I learnt from this South African protest on illegal & legal migrant.

Dear Nigerians, to you that crossed the shores or borders of Nigeria and start insulting your country or inciting people to cause crisis in your mother land, because you feel you are far from home and it's fun, because the new place you reside gave you a piece of decorated paper assuring you that you are now one of them.

Note, one day them or their children will rise up and clearly tell you that you were never one of them. Even if you stayed there for 100years one lunatic will start a political movement to evict you whether peacefully or forcefully.

Trump-US started it, Europe started their own but were distracted because of the Iran war, South Africa are not slacking and many more are coming to do same.

THEY ARE ALL REMINDING YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THEM AND CAN NEVER BE ONE

The only place that you can beat your chest and call it your own home is your own mother land.

May God help us

You just dey try bring your own brand occultism into events in recent times

geoworldedu:
Nigeria did Ghana must go years ago.
South Africa is doing Africans must go today.
Maybe soon, it will be religion must go. That's the only 'Must go' I can join.

The book of Hypatia 5 : 1- 5 is really a eye-opener. Otem thank you for revealing the hidden works of great philosopher.

Chapter FIVE
1. When Synesius came to me, saying, great woman, I admire your wisdom. Let me be one of your disciples, I said, you are welcome O Synesius. If you are willing to be my disciple, then make sure to be openminded and tolerant of me and other disciples like yourself.
2. For I have people of diverse religions as my disciples and they do not argue their beliefs in my court, rather, they argue philosophy and agree at the best. There are the Zoroastrians, the Manicheanists, the Jews, the pagans, the Confucianists, the Buddhists and the Christians like yourself, but they all comport themselves well.
3. Therefore be ready to do the same if you want to be my disciple.
4. When Synesius privately asked me what I felt about Christianity, I said, it is a religion: and as you know, all religions are tools for controlling people. But those who know how to control themselves do not have need of it.
5. I hypatia have been without religion for twenty years. I recognize that there are many deities, but I do not bow down my head for any of them. Yet, I am disciplined and decent in my dealings with other humans like me.
6. Therefore they who are wise do not need religion to be able to control themselves, rather, they need good philosophy to do such. But they who are below the expected level of wisdom need religion to do what is right and to shun what is wrong.
7. Therefore, a nation of many wise people will be less religious than a nation of many foolish people. And the irony of it is that such nation of less religious people will do greater things and have greater inventions than the other nation of more religious people.
8. This is so because the presence of religion brings limitation to critical thoughts.

The goodnews is that the chief gods of surviving religions are already held captive in a spiritual cage, so religion is gradually folding up. Thanks to the universe.
