Christistruth03:Before the civil war, they were more concentrated in both the north and the adjourning SS. After the pogroms , their enthusiasm for the north evaporated. And following the atrocities they committed on the minority people in present SS, they were declared persona non gratia which was cemented with the abandoned property saga Having nowhere to go , since the SE can not sustain their population and new found appetite, they migrated enmasse to the SW. The Ghanian govt had the vision to see that their country will be the best destination , so they quickly deported every Nigerian from their country to prevent the swarm that was trickling in. Since the end of the civil war, they were able to pick themselves mainly due to the accomodating reception they got from their host. Now they want to take over the land of those who allowed them to settle and thrive in their midst. |

Counterigbolies:South Africans are angry that foreigners outcompete them and take over small businesses they are honest and I understand that igbos are masters of business pound for pound no Africa race can compete Is that same isssue you have with igbos in Lagos ? Tell us the issue you have |

So your problem with igbos is that ipob called for the destruction of Yoruba asset in Lagos ? Is that the problem ? I want to know the offense of Igbos exactly is it ipob ? |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by ElSudani: 3:34pm On Jun 17*. Modified: 4:03pm On Jun 17 |
OP is missing the point. First of all you are not doing better than anyone, whether you agree with that or not is your problem. If constitutionally you are on par with the Oba of Lagos perhaps you can seek the position when the time comes. The problem you are having with Yoruba is not different from the problem you are having with south Africans and the Ghanians. The Ghanians didn't bother you until one of you was trying to establish his own kingdom in their country. Just like another one was trying to establish his own kingdom in South Africa. Why are you acting like an ostrich by burying your head in the sand? Can't you see a pattern here? Now, you and Oba of Lagos are on par constitutionally? Should I just say you have your eyes on that position as well? That should endear you to so much to Lagosians. All the best to you. |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by Predictor3: 3:44pm On Jun 17 |
mrvitalis:You come here telling people that ibos are more successful in Yoruba land than the Yorubas themselves. Do you have data to back it up? Why don't you see yourselves as one as Yorubas in Lagos? Invariably, you are telling us clearly that you are sojourners in Lagos. And that you are better than those you admit are owners of the land. Where is your data because I still see a lot of your people struggling daily in Lagos just like the other tribes. I see them hawking gala and cords. I see them begging. I see them live inside shops. They're involved in crimes too. So what exactly shows us that you are not behind the Yorubas in Lagos? |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by CodeTemplarr: 3:56pm On Jun 17 |
My own question: Why is one tribe always having issues with outsiders they share no border with? Example is Obidient people in Togo, Cote D'ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, SA, and Malaysia? Why always this group. They even insult Yoruba for not tasting m^ss^cre in the hands of the north as they did. When will igbo man ever learn to live in peace? |

4 ElSudani:If Foolishness were a gift some people were gifted exceptional abundance of it . Is there any special Course they have that Teaches Foolishness as a subject ? How can you go as an immigrant go to someone else's Country and Homeland and start setting up your own Kingdom there complete with your own Crown, Throne ,Palace and Crown Prince? It is baffling |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by lawani(m): 4:43pm On Jun 17 |
DomPerignon:Not that they had nowhere to go. They lacked cities which they now have. Lagos has 120 percent of the SE population and sixty percent of Lagos is empty. How much more the whole SE which should be almost or around ten times the size of Lagos? |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by lawani(m): 4:53pm On Jun 17*. Modified: 5:29pm On Jun 17 |
mrvitalis:Yes we are equal everywhere but have you given the Yorubas on your land their due for you to be focussing on Lagos? The focus on Lagos is the issue despite that the SW has 18 senators for 55 million people while the SE has 15 senators for 19 million people already. Why not fight for the SW to have 45 senators first? Then if Yorubas and Hausas are not fighting over PH, Enugu, Aba, Onitsha, Awka where they have huge numbers and Yoruba are not fighting over Jos where they are always slaughtered, why Igbos in Lagos? Then contest anywhere but there is no need to boast when you even have no electoral weight as a bloc. Win first. There are markets there in Onitsha where Yoruba dominate and there are other sectors too. So why are they not making these kind of posts?

| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by mrvitalis(op): 5:07pm On Jun 17 |
lawani:There is no law stopping Yorubas from buying lands and living in the east Onitsha business School is owned by a Yoruba businessman You can’t tell me where to focus Same reason all banking and oil hqt are in Lagos are they not focusing on Lagos too much ? No body is stopping you from picking a sector in the east and dominating it’s fair game But can you ? Do you have the ability to ? |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by lawani(m): 5:15pm On Jun 17 |
mrvitalis:Ability like how? Yoruba are ahead of Igbo in both quality and quantity or how are you measuring ability? Even as data is staring you in the face, you will argue to the contrary |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by mrvitalis(op): 5:41pm On Jun 17 |
lawani:Then go take over Enugu or onitsha or out compete igbos in lagos in areas you feel they dominate That’s the right thing to do So why the campaign against Igbo’s people you are bigger than |
| Re: To The Yorubas On The Lagos Issues by lawani(m): 5:52pm On Jun 17 |
mrvitalis:You can't be a jack of all trades. If Igbos are bigger than Yoruba, Urhobo too are bigger than Igbo and also Igala, Ijaw and etc. They are all bigger than Igbo. That is the big problem Igbos like you have. As if 35 can measure up with 100 |

![]() mrvitalis:What is the meaning of this unprovoked epistle you are writing? What criteria makes you think you are are more successful than the Yoruba people. Most of you live in Ajeginle, Okoko, Ajamgbadi, and the getto parts of Lagos but claim you own something in Lagos. What is the population of SE compared to SS living in Lagos? The SS who share boundary with SW has never claimed Lagos but you who don't have anything in common with Lagos is getting migraine on top of Lagos matter. When the people of Lagos to do Oro, come outside with your Nzogbu Nzogbu that always gets you beaten home and abroad. It is you that need to find time to read about Federalism and what it entails in different part of the world. Lagos is not FCT, you and your generation have no stake beyond what the Yoruba people allowed. Other tribes respect Lagos and it's people why is only Igbo that is obsessed with Lagos just the way Azikwe and Ojukwu have always been covetous about Lagos, their children will not learn from same longer throat that led to their downfall |
