Yoruba don’t have to allow we are all Nigerians and have equal rights

Igbo’s bought everything we own in Lagos every single thing we never took anything by force

What exactly have we done wrong
Before you were born, Igbos have been contesting elections in Lagos and Yorubas in Kano, PH, Enugu etc. it isn't anything special. However when you insult Yoruba people they will respond and what you need to support is to make the SW have 45 senators at least so that there can be more positions for all to contest or how many senators do you think Lagos should have if Nigeria were fair?

So why the attack on igbos ?that are this small
Why will you abuse or attack someone and be surprised that they responded in kind? Why don't you take up the Igbos who started everything because their principal lost an election?

The issues with Yorubas and Igbos in Lagos is what we call indigenous settlers crisis , it’s same issues we have in Ghana and South Africa.once the average settler is more successful than average indigenous people it bring resentments.

Yes Nigeria as a nations have invested over 100 billion dollars into Lagos infrastructure over the past 100 years, but if Yorubas want to control Lagos completely because the only reason they think they have Control is really because Igbos are not politically active like Hausa/Fulani
If Hausa Fulani had Igbo population in Lagos lmao it would be a different case

As it stands today constitutionally if I move to Lagos today there is nothing Oba of Lagos can do that I can’t do , absolutely nothing

If you want to take control of Lagos tell Tinubu to amend the constitution. He can even make it a law only indigenous Yorubas can vote in elections

You people always tease igbos to tell their senators to present Biafra on the National Assembly now it’s your turn to tell your representatives to present your case

You people can not intimidate igbos into Submission lmao them never born Una well

All these Igbo this Igbo that in Lagos are just noise , do the right thing

You can’t want one Nigeria on paper then get angry when the consequences happens
Another point must be made: Igbos are not the only non-Yorubas in Lagos.

Hausa, Edo, Ijaw, Nupe, Tiv, Efik, Ibibio, Igala and many other Nigerians live, trade, marry, vote and prosper in Lagos without this constant political friction.

So the question is fair: why does this Lagos argument repeatedly become an Igbo-Yoruba confrontation?

The problem may not be residence. It may be attitude.

There is a difference between settling in a place and speaking as though the host community has no history, no identity and no right to cultural sensitivity.

Nobody serious is saying Igbos should not live or succeed in Lagos. But success in another people’s homeland should come with respect, not triumphalism.

Some commentators speak as though constitutional rights mean cultural conquest. That is where the conflict begins.

Lagos is open, but Lagos is not empty. It has owners, history, language, culture and memory.

Coexistence requires humility from hosts and settlers alike.

Igbos have never claimed Lagos doesn’t belong to Yorubas no
The cultural Lagos is Yoruba

But Yorubas want to extend cultural Lagos to political Lagos

You want one Nigeria on paper but not in real life

The Yorubas do not have any reason at all to attack Igbos given that who most of them supported won the Presidential elections.

However the reality is that the civil war has been going on since 1967 and is yet to end. I will concede that. The problem is that the civil war is still ongoing

So when ACN branded opposition candidates as Igbo candidates for the Lagos governor should election be what was that ?

When oba of Lagos attacked igbos ordering them to vote apc what was that ?

The same ACN patronized Igbos with appointments to the extent I and others had to make comments on this forum saying anything given to Igbos in Lagos ought to be given to the Hausa as well. The ACN is now anti Igbo?.

So the random comment of an Oba supporting the ruling party now means the Yoruba are fighting Igbos? Did the comment have any effect on the direction of Igbo votes? The state government is paying the Oba's salary so it shouldn't be a surprise that he campaigned for them and he didn't have any means to stop anyone from voting.
The traditional way for the Oba to compel people to do anything is to threaten them with something that is like the national deity which in Lagos is the lagoon

There is no record of Igbos ever having been attacked in Lagos over politics or for any other reason. Nowhere in Yoruba land has it ever happened too but rather there are reports that two Yoruba were killed by Igbo election riggers in parts of Lagos during the last Presidential elections

By telling you that in one Nigeria you agreed to we are all equal everywhere ?
Or that you can get your land only by division and separation ?

Tell me what I said that’s offensive ? Talk
We dare you to abolish Sharia Law in Kano if you think that you and the natives are equals.

They have their Laws and your state has yours
because you are unequal in beliefs Tradition and outlook to them.

This is the bragging that brought you people into trouble in Ghana and now South Africa. You will never learn lesson until they humiliate you everywhere for trying to grab people’s lands. You left southeast that is now barren and erosion infested. You want to develop foreign lands with drug money , Abi? Your eyes will see pepper!
