Three Nigerians Arrested In Gambia Over Alleged Scam Worth ₦42 Million by iamfraud(op): 4:20pm On Jun 17

POLICE ARREST THREE INDIVIDUALS OVER ALLEGED SCAM

Date: June 17, 2026

Police at Serekunda Police Station have arrested three Nigerian nationals in connection with an alleged scam involving Two Million Dalasis (D2,000,000).

The suspects, identified as Stanley Edward, 35, of Kololi; Fidelis Ibe, 41, of Kololi; and David Chiagozie, 47, of Brusubi, were apprehended on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, following credible intelligence received by the police.

During the operation, officers recovered Two Million Two Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Dalasis (D2,272,000) from the suspects.

The trio has been charged with theft, while investigations into the matter continue.

The Gambia Police Force remains committed to combating crime and safeguarding the public from fraudulent activities.
