The Only Reason Why I Will Support Peter Obi To Win The 2027 Election by truthera(op):
I watched a video of an interview Rufai Oseni had with Peter Obi. It was interesting and fascinating to see Obi speak passionately about Nigeria, even saying at the heat of the interview that he is prepared to die for Nigeria. There is no doubt that Peter Obi is passionate to rule the country which unfortunately it's owners are not ready to allow an igbo presidency. Based on public knowledge, Peter Obi's track record especially when it comes to corruption and stealing of public funds remains a key aspect of his candidacy that puts him way ahead of other presidential candidates. In a normal free and fair election scenario, I do not see why he won't win when placed among questionable politicians with heavy baggages like Tinubu and Atiku. I had watched the interview amused by how he believes so much in "One Nigeria", how he was so excited over safeguarding the status quo even when it is not in the best interest of his own people, the igbos. This is why I can't take Peter Obi seriously, he speaks as if Nigeria will magically change, the injustice and marginalization of his people will end if he becomes the president, basing all Nigeria's problems on leadership when that is only a symptom of a bigger problem. Another interesting point of the interview was when Rufai ask him about Nigeria's security crisis and Obi screamed that he will declare war. I laughed because Obi seem to forget that many soldiers in the Nigerian army and security agencies he will use to declare his war on Fulani are from the north and are fulani, he fails to see that they are also in the National Assembly, comprising a sizeable number of Fulani politicians who will vote massively to shut him up if he ever tries that..... Peter Obi appears to be naive to the grand agenda of Nigeria that favors the north (Fulani dominance). If he ever becomes the president, unless he will recruit large number of Igbos from the south east and other non-northern Nigerians especially those from the South South into army and to head the various security agencies currently in the hands of fulani, he will fail woefully like other presidents before him, who ended up, negotiating and rehabilitating fulani terrorists. Under "One Nigeria" a Peter Obi igbo presidency, no matter how good intentioned he may be towards solving security or any other national issue, will be marred with systemic sabotage by the usual suspects and he will be the one to take the blame.

On the issue of economy, Peter Obi talked about power generation, education and so on, he spoke without providing any clear answer as to how he plans to achieve it. I guess fighting corruption and cutting waste would be his focus in this endeavor but then again he seem to also forget that the looting catalysts in government are not only found in the executive arm but mainly in the legislative arm. How does Peter Obi intend to muscle the legislooters? The only outcome I forsee for Peter Obi in vigorously pushing for massive cuts and blocking looting loopholes in government will be a unanimous vote of no confidence and impeachment by the deeply corrupt NASS chambers.

I've taken the time to study Obi and his promise of a "New Nigeria", I can boldly say that Nigeria is far gone, it's unity, it's foundation is too damaged, a hopeless cause to bring about the Nigeria that Peter Obi dreams of. If Peter Obi somehow wins next year's election, he will have only 4 years to make a lasting difference in the lives of Nigerians, so the only reason that will make me consider supporting his presidential campaign is if he makes a public promise, a commitment to use his one-term in office to push through a bill for a sovereign national conference towards a referendum on Nigeria's unity and political framework. Let no one be deceived, Peter Obi can not fix Nigeria's economy or security challenges in 4 years but he can create the enabling environment toward solving these problems and achieving much more if he succeeds in using his presidential powers to push through a referendum within 1 year of his presidency that will end the 1999 constitution. In committing to this, he will not only get my support as he will be using one stone to kill one hundred vultures.....

Nigeria problem is complicated and complex, any one entity can drive an airplane with his mouth and proffer solution but give the same slowpoke opportunity now, he will turn to another failure. Clown like pitobi was governor of a tiny state like anambra but his only achievement was calling “oppositions, Yoruba candidate” and deceiving his people by keeping the state money in a bank he has high shares making making project begging for execution redundant!he can only deceive Chinenye and chukuka, but can’t fool an average Nigerian, as an average Nigerians are naturally intelligent.

When you juxtapose the atrocities of major presidential contenders like Atiku and Tinubu to that of Peter Obi, you will end up with the irrefutable fact that Peter Obi is better than others. I commend Peter Obi for being the only candidate to come out publicly with the declaration that he will free Nnamdi Kanu within the first few days of becoming president. I hope he can go a step further to make a public promise to put Nigeria's referendum towards devolution of powers as a top priority if he becomes president. He has only one-term so I see no reason why he should not aim higher towards doing something big, achieving something revolutionary like truncating the 1999 constitution, dissolution of Nigeria or total devolution of powers towards regional autonomy. Peter Obi if he succeeds to be installed as first igbo president since 1999 will have a golden opportunity to liberate his people and all Nigerians from the contraption.....

You couldn't have put it better—he spoke without outlining any concrete strategy for achieving it.

I’m sure you are joking , obi has how many terms. One?? In agulu or biafra? are you the one that will make obi the president of Nigeria? I know you are joking , but know this fact, it’s easier for el-rufia to become the president of united state of America ,than jokers like obi to become the president of Nigeria ! Know this and stop deluding yourself .

But it is okay for Tinubu to continue as president?
