| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by Mattswaggz: 12:37pm On Jun 18 |
Their method of coming to this conclusion is bias and illogical to say the least......so you're asking the women and they're telling you it's their husband without any evidence to back their claims and you view it as fact because thieves are known to admit they stole or not blame the devil when they're caught right.....this SIMPle man opinion should be thrown to the gutters where it belongs. |

One of the major ways HIV enters many marriages and long-term relationships is through adultery. It is a difficult truth, but a reality that has affected countless families across the world. However, the conversation must be balanced. Society is often quick to blame men alone whenever infidelity and its consequences are discussed. While many men have indeed endangered their families through extramarital affairs, it would be dishonest to pretend that women are incapable of similar actions. If a married woman engages in adultery and brings another man's child into her husband's home, that is also a profound betrayal of trust. The emotional, psychological, and family consequences can be devastating. Just as men must be held accountable for their actions, women must also be held accountable for theirs. Infidelity is not a male problem or a female problem. It is a human problem. Whether committed by a husband or a wife, adultery destroys trust, damages families, exposes partners to sexually transmitted infections, and leaves lasting scars on innocent children. The solution is not gender-based blame. The solution is fidelity, honesty, mutual respect, regular health screening, and personal responsibility from both partners. A healthy marriage requires two faithful people, not one. |

Though I dont have the data... I think the doctor's story is true for most infected wives in the north....i heard of an infected man who transmitted the disease to his three wives..... However down here in the south, i think its 50/50.... |

He is 95 percent correct if the study is restricted to the sexually infected cases. |
| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by Ewedegubbler: 12:46pm On Jun 18 |
99% percent correct. Most Nigerian big men are housing South African women in hotels allover the country. Ànd you know most South Africans are HIV positive Ànd are spreading it like cake allover Africa. Those men get it from them Ànd easily transmit it to their wives. |

aybabz101:Even in the South too. A greater number of married Men cheat except we want to tell ourselves lies. Just a little bit do not. And of course we have married women that cheat too, however they are not as many as the Men. Men's own should be like 95percent.. . |
| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by bigpicture001: 12:51pm On Jun 18 |
Mattswaggz:You should say the men, cuz this has happened more than 26 times in last four years in my lab alone poo 1 reason: the men usually refused to undertake HiV test. 2. The women are still fresh from baby nursing, at that stage 99% of women are preoccupied with baby care ND not sex...only Thur husband's can have access to them 3. If the women are the source carrier they won't be fast to come to lab in the husband's company for HIV test...Note, I usually do the HIV test out of curiosity since the ailments keeps recurring... After seeing the results without telling her, I then suggest it to them and say just to b sure..this is so my payment for the test can be covered... Most Nigerian men, especially the well to do are too loose with free young ladies |

The risk of HIV transmission depends greatly on the type of exposure, whether the source person has HIV, whether they are on treatment, whether there was blood contact, and whether post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is started quickly. Approximate HIV Transmission Risk Per Exposure Event Exposure Type Estimated Risk Blood transfusion with HIV-infected blood ~90% (9,000 per 10,000 exposures) Sharing contaminated injection needles ~0.63% (63 per 10,000) Receptive anal sex (bottom partner) ~1.38% (138 per 10,000) Insertive anal sex (top partner) ~0.11% (11 per 10,000) Receptive vaginal sex (female receiving) ~0.08% (8 per 10,000) Insertive vaginal sex (male penetrating) ~0.04% (4 per 10,000) Needle-stick injury in healthcare setting ~0.23% (23 per 10,000) MouthAction Very low; difficult to quantify, generally <0.01% Deep bite with blood exposure Extremely low Kissing, hugging, sharing utensils No risk Mosquitoes/insects No risk from the above stats the probality of contracting HIV from random unprotected sex in Nigeria is 0.01*0.04=0.0004% This means even the unprotected sex we dread about does not really expose us as much as we thougth. I have seen women who are HIV positive and their Husband HIV Negative. meaning, the wife may have contracted through sharing of sharp objects and from the stats their husband need to sleep with them over a thousand times to be exposed to the virus |

cr7lomo:DNA is for paternity determinant ND not HIV test |
| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by vanvickie(m): 12:57pm On Jun 18 |
bigpicture001:And u automatically assume that it's the man that gave it to the wife? Really, women don't cheat? All the paternity fraud that have been coming to light recently haven't taught you anything? So there isn't any chance that the women may have cheated with a man that's positive to HIV? SMH |
| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by bigpicture001: 12:59pm On Jun 18 |
vanvickie:U are not married, when u do after 2years come back here let's talk.. |
| Re: A Doctor's HIV Comment Sparks Debate by Mattswaggz: 1:03pm On Jun 18 |
bigpicture001:Lol....your point number 2 shows that you don't interact with women of nowadays.....they cheat a lot too and a lot don't bother about protection as they prefer the raw feeling that's why there is a high amount of paternity fraud. A man with money can be a chronic cheater but that doesn't in any way exxonerate the women....especially in today's world...woman regardless of financial status can easily cheat but a man without good finances is limited in this regard. |
