iamoyindamola:The self confessed terrorists in Guatanamo Bay are not even allowed to be tortured. Waterboarding is now illegal |

izzou:I'm saying the US negotiates with serial killers that have killed tens of persons. How do you handle the bandit you cannot conclusively link to any killing, the one who may have been nothing more than another foot soldier they send on egg runs? And said bandit has surrendered whatever weapons he has and is asking for clemency? Will you give him the same sentence you're giving top dawgs like Bello Turuji? Now imagine there's like 10,000 of such guys. |

BlueRayDick:This will be for the experts to draft. This isn't Nigeria's first rodeo. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:30pm On Jun 18 |
Theflint1:Not pampering terrorists with amnesty and such other nonsense. We deal with the terrorists in the language they understand . Simple! It's the believe that they will be handed amnesty and be negotiated with that makes it even attractive to more and more new joiners. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:34pm On Jun 18 |
That is why I advocate resolving and dissolving these terrorists in the bush, "In exchange of gunfire with soldiers". Anyone you bring to public and camera captures him, like Kabiru Sokoto, you have to do the whole legal process which he might even get pardon or amnesty Even Sunday Igboho when he threatens he will say "anyone caught, would be handed to authorities for legal process". Even him a non state actor but since he is popular cannot say openly that to kill them Even inside movies the cops know this, they will set the criminal up to be killed "while attempting to kill officers" or "while exchanging fire with soldiers" or "attempting to escape" |

BlueRayDick:You and I can say this, a leader cannot, Buhari Trump etc found out. When Buhari said this, he spent several months renovating that statement |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:36pm On Jun 18 |
raumdeuter:We are talking about internal security , you are giving the example of Israel vs Palestine/Hamas. We are saying the government should exterminate terrorists who are waging war against the government and law abiding citizens, you are mixing it up with a country fighting external aggressors and seccessionist groups. Na wa o. You are the king of Apple vs Oranges |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:37pm On Jun 18 |
BlueRayDick:I have given you examples of IRA and ETA terrorists in UK and Spain, they killed and bombed innocent citizens, at the end of the day they were negotiated with At the point of negotiation I am sure the govt officials were disgusted that they had to do it, but its what it is |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:38pm On Jun 18 |
izzou:I just tire. Making any move to negotiate with terrorists will never ever make sense. Maybe FG should kukuma free Nnamdi Kanu and allow him too to continue with his IPOB/ESN comrades so government can negotiate with him too. Since we are in the season of negotiation and amnesty. |

Theflint1:The bandits demand is usually money, so what's halfway to you? Reducing 500 million to 250 million? Una dey make me dey laugh ![]() Katsina state government has been meeting bandits halfway for years. Do you think these people will collect money or whatever demands you meet, and quit? ![]() I believe this is a Southern way to appeal for Northern votes, because this thing makes no sense at all. Obi never applauded anybody for negotiating with bandits. He didn't negotiate as a governor in Anambra. Na as e wan become president, w remember Negotiations Buhari proscribed IPOB. Heaven did not fall. He stood on that business till his death. Even as at today, nobody is negotiating with IPOB. Their leader is in Sokoto Maximum prison. Na Northerner run am But when it gets to a Southerner, we begin to make sense out of nonsense so we can win election votes, even if it means half of our people dead. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:43pm On Jun 18 |
BlueRayDick:I just wrote this now, without seeing yours Nobody has called IPOB to the table after a Northerner proscribed them. E reach Southerner turn, because e wan win election, e ready to serve Bandit rice and stew. Fvvcking Cowards |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:49pm On Jun 18 |
Theflint1:So you don't have an idea of what exactly the government will be negotiating with, but you sha want them to negotiate with terrorists and religious extremists. It shows just like Obi, you've not really given the gravity of the situation much thought. I hope you know know Aminu Masari (Katsina ex-governor) who is among the pioneers of Negotiating with terrorists later regretted the move. See below excerpts from his regrets: Governor of Katsina State in Nigeria’s northwest, Aminu Masari, has said with the benefit of hindsight, his government should never have negotiated with bandits, let alone grant them amnesty. |

BlueRayDick: ![]() "Let's negotiate with Bandits but I don't have idea of what they are asking or we are bringing" ![]() If you negotiate and pay Bello Turji today, you go pay another group tomorrow. You go still pay another group next tomorrow. ![]() |

izzou:Izzou don vex It comes back to what nihilistijnr said unfortunately An election is numbers and the north is not ready to fully reject or condemn their 'freedom fighters' You have sheik gumi running his mouth You have governors dashing out amnesty You have people identifying with the cause |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:59pm On Jun 18 |
izzou:It's like they don't know how ridiculous the whole Idea of negotiating with bandits and terrorists sound. Bandits who would lay siege on major interstate highway, kill drivers or anyone that tries to escape, match their preys into the bush and commit economic crime by extorting their families. Those are the people they want government to negotiate with. What exactly will the government be offering them? Then we have Fulani Jihadists and religious extremists matching down to churches to kidnap and kill those who attempt to escape. What do you offer such groups? Will you offer them penitence and ask them to go & sin no more or what exactly ? Till last week we still read of Military operatives neutralizing ESN/IPOB terrorists. Why is FG not negotiating with them? Is it because they's not made the region unlivable for all sundry like we are seeing in parts of Niger, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara , etc? Bandits are literally taxing people to go to farm in some LGAs of the aforementioned states. So when FG wants to negotiate with them, will they cede few local governments to them or give them their own political party like Hezbollah? |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 3:11pm On Jun 18 |
raumdeuter:I can pardon the young naive ones who repent. But certainly not the leaders. If they repent they get life jail, otherwise they lose their lives. This is the mode Peter Obi was trying to say |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:16pm On Jun 18 |
izzou:Abi! we should keep negotiating and maybe even make provisions for Bandits & Terrorists in our annual budget sef. All the various attempts at negotiating and agreeing peace accord with Bello Turji by Zamfara state government has not stopped him from carrying on with his terrorist activities. Make dem dey play! |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 3:18pm On Jun 18 |
BlueRayDick:When you negotiate from a position of weakness, or from an equal footing, it will end in regret. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:21pm On Jun 18 |
Theflint1:Yet you have failed to point us a vivid position of strength the Federal government can be that will guarantee peace and abatement in terrorism in the country. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 3:22pm On Jun 18 |
izzou:If Buhari pampered IPOB the way he pampered/nursed Boko Haram/banditry into becoming what they are today, I'd see a negotiation/rehabilitation as something that should be on the table alongside any kinetic effort. And even as IPOB has been proscribed and largely decimated, Nigeria would have to setup a non-kinetic plan in motion to ensure they don't spring up sometime down the road. Wars are first won on the field and after in boardrooms/negotiation tables. Nigeria isn't winning on the field yet, hence an amnesty program now will fail. |

raumdeuter:nope Putin is also not a sensible leader. So many of them are out of touch with reality. Isn't it strange that trump also romance Putin. (Nope not strange) Infact, if anything, Trump is absolutely more senseless. He should have learnt from the fact that Putin is stuck in Ukraine and back off. But the idiot has his head stuck so far up his butt that he thinks everything is rla reality TV show. Two senseless leaders forming hardman in 2026. Obama didn't start a war in libya. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:31pm On Jun 18 |
Theflint1:See you are just contradicting yourself just in a bid to double down on the whole non-kinetic approach/ negotiation misyarn. Here you are agreeing that Buhari dealt decisively with IPOB/ESN by ordering that they be decimated with full force. So I take it that you know what fighting terrorism heads-on can achieve. But somehow you want to drag the non-kinetic talk enter the matter wey no concern am. It is a fact that ESN were crushed significantly with military firepower, Simon Ekpa was taken out of circulation and Nnamdi Kanu rightly jailed. Where non-kinetic approach/negotiation take enter the matter? We are simply saying let FG have the full force of law crush the so-called Bandits and Terrorists without any yeye talk of negotiation. Let them be dealt with as the agents of terror in Imo, Anambra and Abia states were dealt with. Is that too much to ask/achieve? What is there to discuss to negotiate with the terrorists? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 3:45pm On Jun 18 |
BlueRayDick:One doesn't preclude the other. Any face to face/amnesty would need be from a position of strenght, and Nigeria hasn't achieved that yet. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:57pm On Jun 18 |
BlueRayDick: ![]() Katsina has been negotiating with Bandits even before Tinubu became president. How safe is Katsina today? I am surprised with what I have read here today. |

Theflint1:So how does Nigeria achieve this position of strength? |

NinjaMetahuman:Who started the war in Libya? Netanyahu was stuck with Hamas is he also a senseless leader and out of touch with reality? Bush, Obama were stuck in Afghanistan for years were they senseless and out of touch with reality? |

The amount Nigerian and African artists are charging for international collaborations these days is insane. $200,000 for a feature is crazy. Some British artists don't even charge that much. |
