AFTER EXTENSIVELY READING ALL REVIEWS, I WILL STICK WITH THE AIRTEL ODU EVEN THOUGH THE UNLIMITED IS CAPPED AT 1TB. THE ONLY REASON AM SAYING I WONT GO FOR THE MTN FIBRE IS BECAUSE OF THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND IT TAKES A LONG TIME FOR ANY CUT OR INFRASTRUCTURE DOWNTIME TO BE RESOLVED. MTN NEEDS TO WORK ON THAT

I renewed my fibre x subscription today and it is now slow, I’m getting less than 1m bps. I was initially on the 50mpbs. Then switched 100mbps. Anybody experienced this?

Can I change DNS on MTN fibre? If yes, how?
Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by ai3dmodel: 5:20pm On Jun 05
The real value in these speed tests is the consistency over time, not just the peak download number. Stable upload speed and low latency matter a lot for teams moving large video files and reviewing generated clips. We use that kind of connection for motion-control video workflows at https://www.soraai.pro/ and usually test both wired and Wi-Fi performance before judging the service.

Do you mean no light is showing on the router, not even the power light? Or do you mean no light apart from the power On light is showing?
If no light is showing at all,That simply means your router is not powered, check and see it's plugged in correctly

Not the FibreX dashboard.
Mine is ZTE, and it has its own portal address (https://192.168.1.1/)

Someone with HUAWEI should help you out

Is there a way to keep track of the total data consumed on the MTN FibreX?

Airtel has this option on their ODU, but I don't know if the same is obtainable on the MTN FibreX.

So far, no way from them.

The good news is that you don’t need to keep track because it’s unlimited
You only need to know the date of expiry and renewal

Who else experiences low network speeds, such as less than 5 Mbps, almost every evening, between 6 PM and 10 PM, especially when there are football matches? No specific time, and this can last for 1 to 2 hours before the network stabilises.

Note: I'm on 50 Mbps
Re: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by shidof(m): 6:53am On Jun 16
I was unable to use my FibreX between April 29th and May 6th due to a LOS issue, MTN had to send someone from their offices to resolve it on the pole. I've been requesting compensation for a week since then and till today, I've not gotten anything. They keep telling me that it's still in review, as how now 😂

We have coverage in some part of Agric Ikorodu. To be sure you have it your location simply look out for poles that have boxes(FAT) attached to it.
The pole is right in front of my house, but no box on it. Do I have to wait for the box to be fixed on the pole before I can go for it

Yes. You have to.

Infact once the box is mounted, agents will start distributing flyers into nearby compounds with phone numbers

You will see

I quite agree with you. When you start patronizing typical Nigerian entrepreneur (even a foreign one based here), they start thinking they are doing you a favour and misbehaving massively.

I don't blame them, it's the rot and decay in our institution. If our institutions are strong and solid, everyone of them will fall in line
It has nothing to do with them but us, go to a typical shop around you, you try to buy thing they'll act like they're doing you a favour, instead of we boycotting them, tomorrow we will still go there to buy something. Some will even tell you, they don't mind you leaving, that you're just 1 customer, instead of us distributing that bad character by telling all our people around there not to patronize the shop, we continue patronising. A foreign person comes in with a different orientation, but after a while he realises if your fellow country person can do that way and get away with it, why not me too. And the cycle keeps duplicating

Came back home today after a few hours out to find my FibreX without Internet connection.

Called 217, put in my FNID and they told me it's invalid?
Called 300, got transferred to FibreX support, and then they say my FNID is now registered to an entirely different personhuhhuh

Yes, subscription expires July 2. My router still doesn't have internet till now.

How can they just randomly assign my FNID to another person, meanwhile i still see it on my MTN app.
