it seems as if tinubu and apc have seen the danger to their electoral victory in allowing strong parties to contest , i wont be surprised if atiku isnt allowed to contest . |

I wonder how the opposition think that they would be able to unseat a determined incumbent. Someone that "won" against all odds in 2023. Now that he is in power, with full control of executive and judicial powers, you want to unseat him. ![]() |

With these kind of comments, it will take many years before Nigeria will progress. It very shameful no one is talking about policies and infrastructure that can will election. All you hear is popularity and emotions. No commenters mention what policies this present government embark on that can earn her victory in the next election. No one is talking of other candidates policies better than the present president that can earn them victory. All you hear is popularity and emotions. Nigeria youths lack constructive criticism. They went to school but failed to be educated. They support candidate base on ethnicity and religion, like and dislike rather than capacity, capability and competency. |

yarimo:Dele Should Rest I take God beg you ! Most of them( the Opposition) Fear that they will be retired, after 2027. -This Dele, who prefers Ghana where he placed his Ovation business - by generating Revenue to Ghanaians govt and given the Ghanaians Youths Employment - shows how Patriotic he is, Similarly, his Atiku believe more in Dubai than Nigeria ,So How PATRIOTIC Are they ⁉️ So, even the Northern People know that Atiku is nowhere in Political Sagacity,as the North will Always align themselves to the Govt-in Power. |

HacheNoire:"Demigod" for who?!. For only you, i guess. Tinubu won by a narrow margin in 2023 with much help and backing from El-Rufai, Ganduje and other Northerners. He attracted the Northern sympathy vote for his immense help to Buhari to become the president. Now, Buhari is gone. All the Northern henchmen have deserted him. It's difficult to see how he can win legally in 2027 with Atiku and Obi still in the race. In 2023, he won with the lowest %age of vote ever. Face reality. A "Demigod" is an insult to our collective intelligence as a nation. |

yarimo:Don’t mind Dele jare. He does not realise how Tinubu is so scared of any obstacle to his reelection that he’s hellbent on keeping Atiku out of the race next year. What do you think APC’s Twitter supporter Amupitan in INEC is doing with Wike’s courts apart from destroying every credible opposition? Tinubu is looking beyond 2027 already. The master strategist is focused on how to get a 3rd term for life president, something that Obasanjo failed to achieve in 2007! Obasanjo failed because Atiku chose to be loyal to constitution and country, even if it meant that vengeful Baba Iyabo would write trash about him and try to deprive Nigerians of Atiku’s excellent governance capabilities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPytmuhYDAU?si=_192RzRVQC0dUxyt |

WizardOfNG:And Dele Momodu or the other Southerners told you they were there when the agreement was signed? Even if they were there, did they agree? And even if they agree, don't they have the right to change their minds? Nobody is on this planet to do your bidding We're all running our race and if it aligns with yours, fine. Set up your own political party and give all the positions to the Southerners or northerners. If it guarantees you victory at the polls, good and fine. This mentality is the reason why south East have not been able to produce a president till today. Instead of looking at what works, they look at what is pleasing to the eyes. The world doesn't care about what you like, it cares about what works and in Nigerian politics, the useless north have the numbers |

Babangida dribbled everywhere and everyone but the evil genius Maradona was obliged to step aside, not so? What of Abacha and his five parties that said they all wanted him to be their candidate? What happened to him despite the million man march in Abuja, that Onyeka Onwenu sang for in Abuja back then? |

WizardOfNG:How can anyone be a worse disgrace to southerners than the forever ♾️ betrayer of Yoruba people and other southerners? The Jagaban of Borgu, who is a master strategist for selling out southerners to favour his fellow northerners! No one beats Tinubu’s record in betrayals. No one!!! Did he not betray the south in 2015 with the old Fulani soldier he begged out of retirement to make Jonathan a one term president? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5Tta19OYEE?si=HknaDB2bw8FaAD3r anonimi: |

WizardOfNG:On the contrary, Uncle Dele is a true Omo Odùduwà. We are not slaves to anyone, nor are we bound by blind loyalty. We follow our convictions objectively and support what we believe is right. Ironically, your comment demonstrates a mindset that is contrary to the ideals of Omoluabi. Being Yoruba is an ethnic identity, but being a true Omo Odùduwà is about courage, fairness, integrity, and the ability to stand for truth even when it is inconvenient. Now, let me ask you a simple question: in what specific ways has this government benefited you as a Yoruba person? As I have said before, people with your mindset give politicians the audacity to fail and still expect public support. If every politician knew that they had only one term to prove they deserved a second, they would focus on governance from day one instead of relying on ethnic and religious sentiments. The tragedy of Nigeria is that many people choose leaders based on tribe and religion rather than competence and performance. As long as that continues, genuine progress will remain difficult. I see people of your mindset liking your comment. What a pathetic life As for me, I fully support Uncle Dele Momodu’s position. If your preferred candidate wants a second term, then let him get to work and earn it through measurable performance. So far, you have not provided a single performance-based reason why Yoruba people or Nigerians in general should vote for him again. Your argument rests entirely on ethnic sentiment. |

Mynd44:Dont mind that deluded sellsword, even if tinubu looses the north he will come a close 2nd while atiku cant even come 2nd in the south......the margin in the south will be too large for atiku to cover and will swallow up whatever advantage he will be getting from the north. With the very formidable pdp structure no longer behind atiku, that makes him even far less formidable......the NC will also be a tough one fir atiku as it was in 23. |

I guess some Nigerians do not realise yet that election time is big business for political jobbers. At the end regardless of who wins or loses, many of them are going to cash out big time. It's self interest before anything else. And I hope the people themselves also vote with that in mind - not emotionally, but with cold calculation. |
