Please house I plan to lift my vehicle shock absorber as the vehicle is too low. Some say it's welder work while some say it's pieces tyre that mechanic will use to raise it. Please I need advice on how to go about it. |

rymalex:Which car?? Any raising will ruin your car performance and stability. That is how most gets into accident... Don't raise your car!! Warning!!! The least you can do is to change your tire size but not to big to hit your fender. |

Dwarfgod:It's a Toyota Yaris. My friend raised his Toyota crown and also changed wheels. The vehicle still handles well. |

rymalex:If the car still handles well to you then you don't know what a good handling in a car feels like. I wish you luck! When you raise it, avoid abrupt maneuvering, speed above 100km, avoid sudden braking and if you weld the shock avoid potholes. Also, make sure ur Abs and Vsc are working coz, they will be working harder now saving your ass.. |

You fit raise am by half inch,that one no deh too show say u raise am..the mechanic will surely show you the size they wan raise am to...if na d fayawo raise u want e go show u before welder work am OTILO |

Raising a car's shock absorbers (or lifting the suspension) to gain more ground clearance can be useful on rough roads, but it also has some disadvantages: Reduced Stability The vehicle's center of gravity becomes higher. Increased body roll when cornering. Greater risk of rollover during sudden maneuvers. Poorer Handling Steering may feel less precise. The car may feel less planted at highway speeds. Increased Wear on Suspension Components Ball joints, control arm bushings, CV joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings may wear out faster due to altered suspension geometry. Uneven Tire Wear Lifting can affect wheel alignment (camber, caster, toe), causing tires to wear unevenly if alignment is not corrected. Reduced Ride Comfort Depending on how the lift is done, the suspension may become stiffer or top out more frequently over bumps. Increased Fuel Consumption A higher vehicle creates more aerodynamic drag. Larger tires often fitted with lifts can further reduce fuel economy. Headlight Misalignment The front end may sit higher, causing headlights to shine too high and potentially dazzle other drivers. Drivetrain Stress (for AWD/4WD vehicles) Excessive lifting can increase CV axle angles, leading to vibration and premature CV joint failure. |
