My mum is a retired civil servant and he was the governor that paid her gratuity after over 10 years of retirement.

He constructed the road in her street and my sister got a job during his government....

she has a lot attributed to his government.....

I dont reside in Ekiti state and am not involved in any form of politics ...but my mum sings his praises whenever we talked about Ekiti politics...

Pardon me, i understand that 9ja politicians are crooks and they have weaponized poverty against the people...But distributing food in political events is practiced globally...even in developed world...

people who came out for political events are treated to plated services...

I understand that the motive of our politicans are skewed and are done in a dehumanizing way...but you guys just blow things out of proportion

I will vote for APC in the Presidential! Why? Because it was during BAT administration that my 20-year pension and gratuity were paid. Though I know there is suffering, this APC President has the boldness and courage to deal with issues facing the country. Success will come in due time

58-year-old Governor Abíọ́dún Àbáyọ̀mí Oyèbánjí aka Biodun Oyebanji has broken the “Ekiti jinx”.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate has been re-elected for a consecutive 2nd term as Governor of the state, after being declared winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The final results of the election were announced Sunday 21 June 2026 in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Oyebanji won a majority of votes cast across all the 16 local government areas of the state. He polled a total of 319,224 votes to defeat his closest rival, Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 40,543 votes.

Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Oluwadare Bejide, came third with a total 12,872 votes.

Below is the final tally for all the parties:

O! I must respond to your comments. No, I love the governor with all my heart, and certainly he deserves to win. He won hands down. The manner of my presentation must have caused a little misunderstanding.
