vanitybutiwanti:Yes of course, but this is exactly the same mistake that Atiku made in 2023 by working with Okowa. The same 'I need funding' mentality. You would probably need tens of billions of dollars to buy the kind of votes Obi already has for free, and even that isn't guaranteed. Funding does not always translate to votes in the main election. It can help you win primaries, but wouldn't help much in the presidential election. An Atiku/Obi ticket wouldn't have needed to spend much to win. |

Both he and Obi lack any political intelligence ..they are the reason Tinububis president today and still the reason he will win the next election , after this election Peter Obi will become Raila Odinga of Nigeria , a figure that will never be president despite being very popular |

AMINDA:If Buhari couldn't win after many tries with his socalled northern votes, Atiku wouldn't either. Not without the votes of SE, SS, and MB. Garrit now? The people that had traditionally voted PDP in the SE and SS won't vote Atiku now. So no hope for him. |

| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 3:28pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:Yet, Yar'adua became president after 8 years of Obasanjo/Atiku. This is why I keep saying that the best option for the Southeast is to support Tinubu in 2027 if the goal is to ensure that Atiku does not win. At least, this will ensure that the Southeast becomes V.P. to a Northerner in 2031. Voting Obi despite knowing his chances are slimmer than an anorexic patient will be tantamount to wasting your vote and putting Tinubu in a precarious situation. You may also end up losing the V.P position to the Southsouth. The North does not put all its political eggs in one basket and they do not play the victim card. Heads or tail, the North will not lose out in the power equation. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 3:52pm On Jun 21 |
Hedonisco:Words on marble. Aminda, please do not become another soulless Reno because of Atiku. Atiku's arrogance and treachery to Obasanjo and Jonathan is why he hasn't completed his second term since after Obasanjo and Jonathan. At this twilight of his age, he seems never to have learned any lessons - that pride goeth before a fall. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 3:58pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:We don't care about your political permutation. Our interest is in a working country and we know Atiku doesn't represent that interest because he is no different than Tinubu. If Obi doesn't win, let Tinubu rig and continue dealing with you Nigerians. Anyway, why would anyone want Atiku, a Fulani who would continue giving tacit support to the ongoing Fulani genocide in Nigeria. No one would vote Atiku because he has got nothing working for him - not competence, not the turn of the north, not potential to safeguard the country, not goodwill. If he was smart enough, Obi would have given him the latter. That he missed Obi means he's irredemably not smart. Imagine missing Obasanjo's goodwill, Goodluck's, Wike, and now Obi. Aminda, even Atiku has given up. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 3:58pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:Continue to sabotage your region while playing the shortsighted game. The new goal for the Southeast is ensuring that Atiku never becomes president but even Atiku can live with that. He can at least die peacefully, knowing he has been a one-time Vice president. That's not something any of you can say for an entire region. The Southeast has no pathway to the presidency that does not involve going through the V.P route. This is not a tribal or condescending statement. Politics is science, not emotions and when you play it at the national level, the stakes are higher than just one individual man's ambition. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 4:01pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:Atiku got that, not because he is popular but because PDP was still standing and had elected officials like governors and senators whose supporters voted along party lines. Obi had none of those and still secured more than 6 million votes. This time, Atiku won't make 4 million without active rigging. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 4:05pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:But Obi will replicate his 2023 numbers right? Atiku won more states with APC governors than he did with PDP governors. Go figure! Like I said, continue to major on Atiku while players are looking at the bigger picture and asking only the question that matters, which is, "what's in it for my region?" |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 4:19pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:You see, the problem with you guys is that you are shortsighted and yet see yourselves as long-sighted. The same tribalism you're using in destroying the country is what you want Igbos to become. Sabotage your Region politics abi? Igbos want a working country and KNOW Atiku or Tinubu doesn't represent that. You guys either fall in line or destroy the country the way you've been doing. It's just one step at a time. Igbos don't have the sort of midset you guys have - small-minded bigotry. Your region your region, why? Just because you want a chance to steal for your region, NOT that you want the country to work at all. That's why the country is in a mess. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 4:27pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:We've gone back around in circles and arrived at the same cliché. "The Igbos are the only ones who know how to spot a good candidate and Obi is the best candidate among ALL aspirants". It's getting tiring and pathetic. Donald Duke is on the ballot and just like Obi, he has also been a governor for 8 years. Is Obi more competent than he is? Why are the Igbos not championing his presidency? Tinubu boldly declared that "it's my turn" and Northerners voted massively for him in 2023. What makes you think Nigerians won't vote Obi if the Southeast boldly cone out clean and declare that it's their turn? You only need to have invested first for you to be that bold. P.S: Tinubu supported both Atiku and Ribadu for president but he didn't declare "Emi Lokan" until he supported Buhari and won. Politics is not taught in class. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 4:29pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:You see, this is why Obi is different from your run-of-the-mill politician like Atiku or Tinubu who are regional and tribal politicians whose interest, like Buhari is in "stealing national wealth for my region" and not a country that works for everyone, whether from the north or south, east or west. It's really sickening that there are people like you supporting the pillaging of the country. Perhaps you guys are doing it because you know that the wealth (oil and gas) being stolen and the opportunities being wasted doesn't come from your two region. Isn't it? Would Tinubu and Atiku want to be president if there is no stealing to be done for REGION? Do they care about the killings going on in the country like we've seen Obi demonstrate? Something is really wrong. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 4:39pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:Aminda, answer this question please. Why do your two regions like supporting corrupt people who don't care about the country? Why do you want people who can steal for your regions ONLY? Why do you want Igbos to also grab power to "steal for region?" Why do you think you can gaslight Ndigbo to support someone we are CONVINCED is not competent just because we want an Igbo to be president? Don't you people even have shame? Don't you see countries all over the world making progress while Nigeria and Africans are moving in circles because you can't get the basic things such as electing credible leaders right? I mean this nonsense has been going on for half a century and you guys still believe that nation-building is having the "most corrupt man from my tribe steal for us" |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 4:42pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:You only expose your hypocrisy when you go down this route. The Igbos supported Atiku in 2019. How did he suddenly become corrupt now even though he has never held any office between then and now? Perhaps, you did so because your tribesman, Obi was his Vice. Isn't it? Or did you do so because he was competent then? |

AMINDA:Igbo this, Igbo that. What options did Igbos have in 2019 when two Fulani were the main contestants - one corrupt and the other an Igbo hater? Why won't they support the corrupt Atiku when Obi was on the ticket? Why won't they support Atiku when PDP was their preferred party and Atiku was the flag bearer, albeit a corrupt one? https://www.politico.com/story/2010/02/report-revisits-jefferson-scandal-032593

| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by AMINDA: 5:17pm On Jun 21 |
Igbophobia:Lol. In other words, the notion that Igbos have always backed the most competent and incorruptible candidate on the ballot is hereby disproved. It has always been about tribal or party affiliation and interest, and there's nothing wrong with that. Case closed. |
| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by Igbophobia: 5:19pm On Jun 21 |
AMINDA:What do you have to say about Atiku's corruption? Best candidate to "steal for my region ba?"

| Re: Atiku Is Politically Unintelligent by chinchum(m): 5:38pm On Jun 21 |
I believe he is under a curse. 2023 was his best chance but he blew it. If he had wike and the other 4 governors in his fold. (the G5 governors), he would have lost way less votes in the North than what he loss in the south. A wike as vice would have forced the election to a 2 way rerun with Tinubu at worst and a very likely win for him in such circumstance. He lost not only those 5 states additional votes to his camp, but some other southern states. He only needed to close the gap of loss in the SE /Ss/SW. Even Adeleke delivered for him in Osun state. It was way easier to avoid losing Wike than Obi in 2023 polls. Anyone that is stubborn and unintelligent to play such easy politics suggest to me he will also fail with policies . Such individual will not play the politics needed to get his policies to be passed at the national assembly. |
