Re: UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer To Announce Resignation On Monday by wonder233: 6:45pm On Jun 21
It is the same way the incoming one will also soon resign.
The UK is operating a broken system of government that is no longer working.
In this woke era, everything is ultra sensitive. If you cough, the next thing is "resign".
They should stop this merry go round of Prime Ministers turn over.
It is making the country not have any significant long term progress

Kemi (the Agbadorians nemesis) to take over.
Her party is in the minority nor the majority unless they won majority seat in parliament

What kinda system of government is this with no fixed number of years for the tenure of the head of government?

Prime minister coming and going at any time. Some 2 months, others weeks, just a few stay for years like Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, John Major and a few others.
Is it not good, someone is no longer wanted, he is compelled to leave unlike our own that is do or die.

I don't know why you decided to pick one part and leave the rest. I asked a question, is it a dictatorship? Is it a democracy?

Reading through the thread, some people questioned why the PMs are resigning every 'eke' market day? (Whatever that means) which makes sense because for a country to make progress, there must be stability in leadership.
How much progress has Nigeria made with the stability in leadership that we have had in the last decade, compared with Britain huh

Good riddance to garbage. Hands down the most incompetent and incapable PM in British history.

He knows his ill fated party is on the way out so he's jumping ship before it sinks.
On his way out how?

Are you aware they would still be in power for at least 3 years, no matter the situation?

Labour is doing to themselves what the conservatives did to themselves.

Lack of unity always never ends well.
Human beings never learn.

Andy Burnham will also be chased out in due course.

Labour was in the doldrums for good 14 years. And they finally won massively under Sir Keir's leadership.

Yes, he might be a bit dour like a bank manager or headmaster from the 1970s, but Labour needed steady hands. He did it.

Why didn't Burnham leave his cosy Greater Manchester job to lead from the opposition trenches in all those Labour locust years? It's not like Burnham is even that charismatic at a world stage level.

The position comes with lot of expectations and high pressure, they resign and have their peace of mind..... In Africa, resign is the last thing a typical Africa man will consider
