Purported INEC Public Notice On APC Candidates For Lagos State

PURPORTED INEC PUBLIC NOTICE ON APC CANDIDATES FOR LAGOS STATE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ELECTIONS

The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been drawn to a document circulating on social media purporting to be an official INEC Public Notice containing the names of candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Federal House of Representatives elections in Lagos State for the 2027 General Election.

The Commission wishes to categorically state that the document is FAKE, misleading and did not emanate from INEC.

For the avoidance of doubt:

✓ The Commission has not authorised or published any such notice.
✓ The purported publication does not originate from any official INEC platform or process.
✓ The signature appearing on the document does not belong to the Secretary to the Commission and is therefore fraudulent.

Members of the public, political parties, stakeholders and the media are advised to disregard the document in its entirety and rely only on information published through INEC's official communication channels.

The Commission remains committed to providing timely, accurate and credible information on all electoral activities.

Can I blame INEC or the parties? I blame the parties here. They are the ones to conduct their primaries in a transparent and effective manner and trasmit the results to INEC. Because all of them have failed to follow their own rules, they are now confused. These are the same parties expecting INEC to conduct and trasmit the results of the election to iREV portal immediately so we know the winners. But look at all of them, they are sending results to Abuja or their headquarters. They only know how to chastise INEC, ordinary primaries of their own party, they find it hard to do. This is what gives room for speculators to publish fake results so the party also has no choice but to tell us who really won or not.

The are INEC tech guys, who are working for apc but they are INEC staffs in reality.

From that APC situation room is where they will work the results out in favour of apc.

During PDP time, they usually write their own election results inside hotel rooms.

Once you are caught sharing fake or inciteful lies on your page should attract atleast 5 years imprisonment with no option of bail.
