Suspected bandits have abducted the wife and son of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman of Yauri Local Government Area in Kebbi State, Alhaji Yusuf Alhasan.

The gunmen stormed Alhasan’s residence in the Low-Cost area of Yauri around 1:12 am on Monday, June 22, 2026 and whisked the victims away to an unknown destination.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, the assailants targeted the chairman’s family members during the operation.

Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.

What baffles till today is, how a federal government can't fight ordinary citizens..

How can criminals be operating to this far and yet government can't apply any good strategy to stop this madness instead they are blaming opposition who has no single power...

I witnessed what happened in Ekiti. The APC agent will monitor you till you cast your vote, after voting for APC you will be given tally to collect 10k for 4 years

Is politics now more important than Nigerian people's lives and security? Every Nigerian is quiet and praying/wishing kidnappers don't ever see them and their relatives.....is it until it gets to your turn that you will realize that Tinubu/APC have failed Nigerians and start to lend your voice for this evil government to resign or be voted out in 2027?

I keep saying same thing. They are actually failures and know that Nigerians, most are illiterates who can buy anything! How can u say opposition is sponsoring insecurity but u are the commander in chief, u cant use ur power to get the opposition and end the insecurity.

Poetic justice but I still feel for the victims, before politics they are part of humanity, I hope they get rescued on time since hope is the only currency I can afford here.

So the party members are not even immune to the issue of insecurity and kidnapping and I guessed one of them that label a forward thinking Nigerian here as an irredeemable purist can see that the talk of once APC is reelected they will flush the so called terrorists, bandits and kidnappers hold no water now.

This is quite saddening and the one whose aim and objective is on roads, rice and reelection will tell you that some people are hell bent on destroying his second term ambition, baba, fix the issue of insecurity and keep moving.

When these guys started, they were rustling cows, now they're rustling humans. Some were tagged illegal miners who wanted to control territories.


If the North and the government had gone tough on them, we wouldn't be in this mess. Here we are now, they've grown out of control, out of excuses.

..and it's not about the APC Chairman being the victim now, it could be anyone.

It could also be some other criminals settling political scores under the guise of banditry.

Una must get sense by force. A girl collect 15k from APC in ekiti came to Facebook to show people and she was very happy forgetting that 15k can pay ransom

If the bandits will continue this way and ignore innocent and hapless Nigerians, trust me a lot of people won't complain.

They may low-key be having some fans.
