Those in charge of these type of documentation have to be careful so as not to create mistrust between government and the people. That was how a clerical error caused an input of 250 million Naira to buy one photocopying machine in the Abia state budget for 2026. |

Half truth or error is actually a lie or an intent to lie and to the OG that talk about the level of distrust between the government and the people isn't seeing the bigger picture one bit, most of us don't even trust the local government not to talk of the state or the failed federal government... |

That's all Tinubu know how to do. Borrow and loot trillions. He's the one enabling the governors, judges and ministers to steal our common wealth. He doesn't even have the brain capacity to generate the money he plans to loot from the country |

Thewrath:Brother the error in Nigeria is too much, some times they even go as far as hiding the documents. Imagine Ogun state refusing to release the state government expenditure and procurement to the public for the past FOUR YEARS?!!! Something no other state has done. At least Borno and Lagos state where honest with their "Error" but Ogun state? Chai! Error no go choke as all. Inshallaha wasulalala rasulalala

Contracting with be the death of Nigeria if we cannot just put an end to that sub-culture. The government and the people have embraced this terrible disease with so much affection they cannot see the ruin it is causing the economy and what should be the productive, investment mentality of Nigeria plc. Everyone is into "CONTRACTS". In some government parastatals that is all they do every waking hour of the day...contracts. Governance zero, administration, zero. Just contracts because it is the easiest way to fleece the country and empty the treasury. It is far, far, far easier to take money to move a piece of furniture from one end of the room to the other by contracts than it is to make a pencil or fry bean cakes and take to market. They want toilet rolls in government loos, they issue contracts. They want to clean the windows, contracts. They want to service their generators...contracts. All this while they have assistants who can do shopping, janitors who can clean and technicians who can change the oil. But in Nigeria, no. We are earnestly looking for a leader who will pursue this disease with the same vigour as Mr.President declared, 'subsidy is gone'. Because the contracting culture should also go and give way to real productivity amongst citizens and real governance amongst government. It is a cancer that must be excised for us to truly develop. That of Borno was not a mistake by any means. Simply an attempt to pass contraband through customs that has been detected. I am dead certain if they went back several years they will discover many more such phantom projects for which indeed monies have been approved and 'spent'. |

N4 billion error in a budget, how many errors are laden in our overall budgets. Our budgets are 75% padding. Yet citizens are taxed to Golgotha. Politicans steal and they have kids defending them. ![]() |
