Lagos School Charging ₦46m Goes Viral by sanifidelis(op): 9:19pm On Jun 23
A video showing life inside Charterhouse Lagos, one of Nigeria’s most expensive private secondary schools charging about ₦46 million per year, has gone viral on social media after a student shared his daily experience in the institution.

The clip has drawn massive attention online, with Nigerians reacting to both the school’s lifestyle and its high tuition fees.

In the video, the unidentified student gave a glimpse into his routine as a boarding student. He started his day by visiting the school’s medical centre after feeling unwell, before heading to his physics class. He later participated in a test on static electricity alongside his classmates, showing parts of the school’s academic environment and facilities.

The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing surprise at the cost of attending the school and the standard of facilities displayed.

Those are typical example of looted funds from the system, because even as an oil and gas worker or bank executive and you earn N46m a month you hardly can afford to pay such amount for a child in Secondary School per year, because he/she is not the only child.
I am very sure that it is most likely a politician that can venture into this kind of wastage. QED

It is astonishing to me for someone to have wealth so much that it will be equal to or more than combined wealth of people in his community.

Yet such people will not do anything to better live and welfare of his people in immediate community

One thing I have realized is that people are not buying education for their children anymore but Connections... You know the calibre of people's children that will be in that school? Rich people will continue to be rich while the poor will continue to wail and lament...

That ₦46m fee is insane, but honestly, Charterhouse is just catering to the top 1% who want a UK boarding school experience without sending their kids abroad. For anyone looking to tap into that niche, the real money isn't just in the tuition, but in providing high-end third-party services like premium school management software, elite tutoring, or luxury school uniform logistics.

46m for secondary school is designed to prey on the fallacious assumption that the academic achievement of children scales linearly with tuition cost, which is complete bullshit. If your child's IQ is too low, not even a 200m tuition tag can make him/her achieve what is beyond mental abilities.

Thats a money laundering channel.
I read where it said for senior level, they charge 21m per annum. No legit hustler will spend that kind of money for 6 years education only the super corrupt with stolen wealth spend lavishly because they never suffered for the money

If you can afford that per annum, your connection does not come from the child...in fact, you may just know that the child exists, that's all.

The painful thing is that all the people commenting and addressing the issue might not know how 50M naira look like in a bank account yet they are wailing up and down as if their money loss... No crime was committed, no one's money was declared missing by efcc, so why the wailing and too much advice....

People in this thread are supposed to be looking for threads and topics like "Bag of rice now selling for 85k naira" , "Apc planning to disburse more loans for hungry Nigerians "

Wetin concern poor man with quality of life?

Everything to you is measured in the useless Nigerian paper currency.
Being born an American citizen alone is worth over billions of naira in monetary value let alone the passport value, opportunities, amenities and enabling environment to succeed and be highly successful with little effort

I don't know what you are talking about but average American can not convert his dollars to pay for that school frees of over ₦40 million (without credit or loan).

I hope you are just being sarcastic because you're comment is filled with extreme ignorance. "Potential" is not a legal currency.
Re: Lagos School Charging ₦46m Goes Viral by Walai(m): 7:21pm On Jun 26
This school is just a normal free or low tuition community high school in the US and not even qualified to be a mid level private school not to talk of top level private school over there.
Attached below is how a free low tuition community high school looks like in the US, your celebrity private school can't even beat it
