If it was the State government that paid for the exams, they can instruct WAEC to withhold their results.

university have the right because the exams are conducted by the respective schools, but in this case the best they can do is os to withhold the certificate issued by their respective schools, not the result.Statement of results and school leaving certificate are two different things. Regards

no my friend, even if they pay for the exams, a state government cannot force the west African Examination board to withhold their results, only waec can do that, and they have to prove they were involved in examination malpractice or violence. Its like telling the university to withhold the results of your girlfriend you sponsored in school, because one small boy for school dey give her constant doggy, or she refused to marry you after graduation, as long as she did no break the school rules, that one no concern them. WAEC is an exam, it only has control over what happens to its exams, not school life.

baba na the same thing we dey talk, just small misunderstanding, the wassce is the examination conducted by WAEC. Under the official guidelines you afore mentioned, which one of them did the students broke?. The highest they can do is to withhold their school leaving certificate offered by their respective schools, and not the results issued by waec, it's not even possible. Regards.

Its means the Nigerian educational system has failed. Which is why the ministry of information and the national orientation agency, needs to do their job, to sentisize Nigerians to know the laws of the land, so at to know what to do when faced with legal or national issues that affects their lives,. the issue is simple, the bone of contention here is not the suspension or the expelling, its the withholding of "waec" results. Only the West African Examination council have that power, waec is an examination body that handles conduct the examination in ALL west African states.

withholding in this context should mean not issuing them whatever results they had. If your school finds out you're into cultism or whatever vice, would they even allow you attend convocation or issue you result?

listen na, the school no het any "results" to withhold. Results are issued by waec through printing of your statement of results., what the school will issues is a mere certificate, a testimonial that you spent three years of senior secondary education in their school simple. If you check your wiec results, is the name of your school there? Do you know that same certificate they can withhold, you can also get it from another school? Waec result and certificate, which one dey important pass?

1. For those who graduated, withold their results and include them in the black book to be opened.
2. For those still in school who participated, expel them and put them in the black book.
3. The black book now to serve as control. Get expelled or suspended for some rascal or irresponsible behavior and you name enters the black book. That’s discipline. Teachers also were cautioned for their negligence.
