While Senegal might get three points which won't be enough cos many third place best losers gonna emerge from 4 points range.

Four 3rd place are now on 4pts, but a few will still qualify with 3pts.
So if Senegal beats Iraq 3 or 4-0, they'll likely qualify.

So don't say "Senegal is eliminated" yet, until all Group matches are completed.

The WC is so badly watered down that mediocre teams dey emerge into the KO stage with 3 and 4 points.

Nigeria alongside 44 other African countries didn't qualify. 16 teams would be eliminated during this first round..So yes making it to the KO is a huge achievement that also comes with huge financial benefits for the teams involved...If you think 3 points at the World cup is mediocre qualify next time and make 9 points

Okay, time shall tell..But then you are right..4 third place teams already have 4 points. Still if Senegal can win their next match with a considerable goal difference the could still stand a chance. The question is can they?
