Politics and politicking is the only reaisn why there is so much insecurity beyond redemption.

The politicians make use of thugs/bandits/terrorists for whatever reasons ranging from candidate imposition, threatening and intimidating oppositions.

They empower the thugs/bandits with money and fire arms.
Most times they enter into agreements of being left alone after the politicians get the power they so much desire.

But then, the thugs and bandits over do it.
Knowing that they wine and dine with the politicians, they then dare them to attack or inflict punishment on them.

Plus the usual theory of the offspring of Usman Dan Fodio carrying out ethnic cleaning and land grabbing in order to achieve the goal of Islamization.
