In any case, and like i posited earlier, when the Yoruba and Fulani hegemonic military elite managed to get rid of any Igbo influence in central gov’t, why wasn’t the decree reversed!? It’s also pertinent to note that the unification decree DID NOT touch aspects of the fiscal-federal nature of gov’t and the sharing/derivation formula between the centre and the regions WAS NOT TOUCHED, while ownership of hydrocarbon resources still remained with the regions!
