Peller isn't the problem. The Nigerian intellectual class hasn't done enough to command the kind of attention Peller wields. They're not smart enough, not sufficiently organized, and most importantly, not honest enough to earn public trust and followership. |

Wole Soyinka is a Nigerian intellectual. |

kodded:The fact that you even had to quote a Bible passage to justify this unintelligent opinion.... 🤦♂️ For your information, there are countless number of people all over the world who are not rich yet the world listens to them....That people worship money in Nigeria and listen to clowns like Cubana chief priest and co doesnt mean it's the same all over the world |

CrystalTiger:Are some of you living in a different country? Isn't education becoming a scam in this country when there are no jobs for graduates. After graduating from school you will end up doing the same job an uneducated person is doing and you are telling me education is not a scam because you can speak broken English while hunger is killing you. |

Bombblacks:linus orvalds could have chosen to be a billionaire same for jimmy wales you may as well say that linus cannot be in the same room with elon musk or bill gates - since your sole metric of achievement is money nikola tesla is responsible for the electricity we all use today, but he died penniless it is actually this mentality of money over everything that has brought nigeria to where it is why do your duty and stop kidnappers when you can collect a cut and be celebrated as a millionaire policeman ? why do the righgt thing and sell original drugs at cost price when you can be a billionaire selling batches of fake and adulterated drugs? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:14pm On Jun 27 |
Theflint1:no. social media by design is pushing out low attention slop if you are already simpleminded to begin with, as so many Nigerians unfortunately are- the algo will push that kind of nonsense to you. as i have googled Peller i have to block any nonsense suggestions for the next few days is intellectual content pushed to you on YouTube, or do you actively seek it out? the tragedy of the internet was that it could have been a source of knowledge - then the tech bros got greedy and decided it was better as a tool of manipulation and distraction |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Bombblacks: 1:21pm On Jun 27 |
GloriousGbola:I feel like you are not getting his point which shows In these wide examples you are giving. You are listing rich and popular millionaires as some sort of gotcha. |

Trevor012:Am I frustrated with how the country is? Of course..It's terribly difficult to survive here, make out something meaningful for yourself.. But what I will not admit, is that education is a scam..It has never been and it'll never be..I don't regret going to school and I'll never regret it.. I wasn't born with a silver spoon but education really gave me a huge lift in life, a serious added advantage.. Don't know where I would have been without education..It's worked wonders for me and I believe it has too for countless others.. |

CrystalTiger:You are speaking from your own experience while others are also speaking from theirs. After spending years in school, putting in so much time, effort and money, only to graduate and find nothing waiting for you, you're now forced to compete for the same jobs as people without a degree. How do you expect that person to feel? |

Spy360:What is Obi investing in? Investing state funds into his own pocket If we cannot take the words of the current governor of Anambra then those word should we take yours Obi took his typical corrupt ways to govt which landed him in Pandora papers |

Bombblacks:no. you are not getting the point in your mind once a person is not as financially successful as peller, he has no business talking down to him jimmy bergman is a millionaire. elon musk is a trillionaire. jimmy bergman, by way of wikipedia, has done far more for you and for the world that elon musk but since jimmy bergman is a millionaire which makes him a pauper compared to a trillionaire, you have no business listening to him when there are weed smoking market manipulating trillionaires to listen to linus torvalds is a millionaire, but bill gates is a billionaire. so linus is a pauper where bill gates is concerned and should not talk around him or do i have to be a billionaire for you to understand what i am saying? do you need peller to say it before it can make sense ? |

Amigoos1:Na the elitist view of Nigerians on top nothing wey dey worry us Ishowspeed came here recently all over Africa people dey follow am everywhere. He doesnt have any education beyond high school This school school thing maybe because tertiary education is almost free in Nigeria na him make us think its what all must get |

School is not yet a scam, but the competition level for the few opportunities is crazy. Nigeria produces roughly say 600-700K graduates each year, with around 450-500K passing out from NYSC each year. But roughly 70% of these graduates (especially Polytechnics and CoE, or 2:2/3rd class BSc ) can't easily crack into the majority of the entry-level roles that pays decently. The majority of the Banks, Consultancy, Financial, etc. now pay 500K-ish per month at Entry-level, with the O/G sector paying multiple times that level (the best paying one). Each year, there are maybe around 10K-ish Graduate/Entry-level openings combined nationwide (~ 2% of the graduate population) that pay decently (say 300K+/month range), but such opportunities are favorably skewed to BSc. 2:1 Engineering/Sciences/Finance/Accounting/Law/Medicine et. al. graduates. That's why these days I do advise SSCE students to grind hard to enter good University programs and leave all these easy Polytechnic admissions or courses (and also try to enter school on time to beat GT age-restrictions) because the best bet for the child of a common man to get a good entry-level job in Nigeria as a graduate is via these GT openings. Though many graduates now earn decently from legit online hustles too (freelancing, content creation et al) and business; but many people still eat good in Nigeria with their academic degree. So School isn't scam for those categories. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:41pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:If your intelligence no fit convince the market to reward you then what should we do? There is this thing about educated people that gives entitlement. You will see someone saying I am a graduate and society/govt should reward me for that. You hardly see mechanics carpenters bricklayers acting that entitled and they are no less Nigerian than us. And as beneficial to the economy You went to school for your benefit no one forced you It also vexes me when in the west I see people saying govt should forgive their school loans, why? What makes you special over someone who learned welder work or AC repair but you will never hear those claim some entitlement |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:44pm On Jun 27 |
GloriousGbola:Tech bros want to make money. There's no market for things that aren't low attention slop here, and it's not quite their job to fix that. Their algorithms are designed to give you more of what you've shown consistent interest in. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:45pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:Why are they rising? Maybe they have content that ordinary people like and promote. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Trevor012(m): 1:46pm On Jun 27 |
CrystalTiger:I think there's a misconception about the phrase "School na scam." It doesn't mean education is useless. It means that going to university and earning a degree is no longer a guarantee of a good life or a good job, unlike what many of us were told growing up. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:51pm On Jun 27 |
Theflint1:That is where you are wrong. And that is why China has deliberately put several stops on social media I am sure you have read that influencers in china must be qualified to comment on what they are discussing You are also echoing what I said because these guys are trending because the average Nigerian unfortunately had consistent interest in low effort low value low brow slop. Maybe you can tell me what there is to pick from a video of two louts smashing car windscreens? What will be your reaction if you see your kids fawning over rubbish like that? Oh it is because our intellectuals have failed. (we know what you are actually doing as you are naming wole soyinka P3) |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:55pm On Jun 27 |
raumdeuter:Because you want to win this argument you are contradicting what you have said multiple times in the past. Entertainment is far more difficult to crack that a proper career and you get most of your money upfront when you are young and dumb. You are the one who was talking about ginuine singing in Nigerian clubs. What is worse is that these guys are desperate to remain in the public eye so they will continue doing more and more outrageous things This is how we got Kim Kardashian and her fake marriage. This is how we get streamers trying to provoke people and getting shot. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:58pm On Jun 27 |
raumdeuter:https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj400lje9vxo American livestreamer Johnny Somali, who caused outrage in South Korea by kissing a statue representing World War Two sex slaves, has been sentenced to six months in jail.a large number of successful streamers are simply rage baiters and provocaturs |

GloriousGbola:Entertainment is far more difficult to Crack and make money thats why credit is due to whoever is able to Crack it and make a living in it Outrageous things that are not illegal, I cant knock whatever puts a honest living in your pocket even if I wont do it Its not by force for us to like it. Most women dont understand why we sit and watch football for 90mins or why they get paid 100k per week Same reason I dont understand why some people are reality Tv stars Making money is very important and anything you can do that is legal is okay. If carterefe or portable stop clowning go broke and come to beg us for money how many of us will answer them If peller be agbero or area boy now, na we go still say make govt lock am up. He is doing whatever he does make money, not disturb you. We still complain And if your concern is morals and values. That is the responsibility of parents and religious leaders to their children Anyone under age 60 grew up when there was a vibrant pornography, lewd raunchy music if you were led astray by those things thats on you, unless we want to turn society into a religious moral police state where Iran Kano etc start policing and punishing what you consume. And from results its not like those societies produce better human or morally upright people |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:06pm On Jun 27 |
I doubt if you guys actually listened to YCEE. He did not knock anybody's hustle. He even applauded Peller for his hustle. He is simply saying a lot of unintelligent people with their conversations are not what we look up to. How is this a problem for even the Olodos? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:07pm On Jun 27*. Modified: 2:23pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:You mentioned reward intelligent educated people? Who should reward them? People who need your services are those who reward you. If there are more people who enjoy I go dye content more than MSc in organic chemistry then so be it |

Potvalor:According to NBS, only about 5% of Nigerians earn up to 200k($160) monthly. ![]() Na the following sectors dey carry naija full-time: Politics, Oil & gas, Online Fraud, Drugs business. Remove them and Nigeria will collapse. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:09pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:All the so called Olodo are not telling anyone to look up to them. There are enough Imam Pastors Professors to look up to Na free world as long as no be crime |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:12pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:All of them just dey bring up yeye argument that is at variance with what Ycee said in the video. At least if one wants to argue for or against, shebi they supposed try watch the video before forming opinion off the opinions of olodos who watched the video but didn't comprehend what they watched. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 2:13pm On Jun 27 |
raumdeuter:I've come to realize that when Nigerians are frustrated they try to find someone they don't like to turn to the scapegoat instead of facing the appropriate quarters. That is how some kept insulting bbnaija organizers that they're distracting the youths, shey since when bbn no hold the youths don serious? America that has loveisland and other reality shows, are they not serious? Nigerians are ready to hold anybody accountable except the people they elected into power. |
