Akara and agbado to the table. They have nothing to offer us, it's clear. I am surprised people are overlooking something she said in that interview.

"So we've encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. What is within our hands, I have given, and I keep giving.

"I remember giving for TB. When I heard there were so many TB cases, I gave N2 billion. To breast cancer, I gave a billion. For food malnutrition, I gave half a billion."

I, we. They want to turn us to a charity case. What a shame. Before her husband's inauguration in May 2023, Remi Tinubu stated that her family did not require Nigeria's wealth to survive, emphasizing that they are already blessed. She pledged to use her position to guide the nation onto the correct path and promised that they would do the right thing with the country's resources.

For a former Senator not to know that there are specific institutions to do what she is talking about, I now forgive Aisha Buhari who channeled her frustration to the right quarters. Madam, there are budget allocations for these things. It means you are not on top of your game if you have to fund the country with your charity when there is a government. Shame again.

BATified2023:
Lately I stumbled on a video by the wife of the president saying youths should venture into akara selling and road side corn roasting and I observe reactions on social media with many insulting her and calling her all sorts of name.

What I notice about the whole charade is that people who insult her the most fall into two different categories....

*The Gen Z who believe all Nigeria problem started with Tinubu

*The political haters who hates Tinubu and his family and whatever they say even though it's pure common sense they will oppose it.

Let me give some real life examples before going to my point, anyone who have been around since 2010 upward or any graduate from 2010 upwards knows for sure that getting a job is one of the hardest thing, infact we joke about it that it's after service that you know the meaning of so help me God at the end of your service year.

My blood brother finished service in the era of yaradua and despite his good results and some connections he couldn't get a reasonable job, he thought about using one of the abandoned station wagon bus in the compound for logistics and gradually he established himself, got married and now into hospitality with 2 solid hotels. When I finished too, I was also job hunting and I dabbled into modern day slavery for 19 months (private school teaching is what I call modern day slavery) to keep me busy, after 19 months I left n started a gas outlet and pos shop, thank God today I am also into logistics and I have a mini gas station.

This and many more are what graduates use in getting way forward in life because it's obvious Nigeria have been like this for long and graduates have been abandoning certificate to get dirty and make money, it never started during Tinubu presidency so what's the fuse about? This same thing happened to my landlord children, they are both graduate but because they both couldn't get a job they now own fashion school, my wife is also a caterer and a big time food vendor, so why are many people shouting as if it is today that unemployment started?

What prompted me to create this thread was one annoying guy that we served together during JONATHAN regime, we finished and he too couldn't get a job, he learnt electrician work and today he has employed people too, imagine him now insulting the government and insulting Tinubu for telling youth to get engaged instead of waiting for government when it's obvious it's not everyone that will get a government job.

I asked him one question "u always shout Jonathan era was the best, y didn't u get a job then?
Why don't you wait for Jonathan to come and give you job?
Why did you get something doing instead of to sit down and blame the government everyday.

Like seriously what pisses me off about critics of today is that they are just hypocrites, when you hear them talk you will think all Nigeria problem started with Tinubu,no be one person be president when fela sang international thief thief?

No be one person be president when dagrin sang democazy?
No be one person be president when eedris abdulkareem sang Nigeria jagajaga?

Why do some people now present it as if all our problem started in 2023?

We that have been around for long knows many problems Nigerians have faced and are facing so it's annoying to always talk as if Nigeria started
I almond dabbled into fashion before I got gainfully employed.

If If Rufai is to be power minister today, the same Rufai would be going up and down, attacking anybody going against Tinubu, telling Nigerians and international community that,bTinubu is best thing to happen to naija.

Meanwhile, for the comments first lady made, she is supposed to know better, that, urchins and rats would take advantage of it and used it for political gains and to trend, vast majority of Nigerians are hypocritic populists.

No president will come, in which every citizen will work in banks or in oil companies. Even in America, significant of residents are lower level people, who are surviving on small scale businesses.
Then you know nothing about Elrufai. Even as Minister of FCT under Obasanjo, he was known to challenge Obasanjo on some of his policies and that was one of the qualities Obasanjo loved about him. He also publicly disagreed with Obasanjo on his quest for third term.

Under Buhari, Elrufai wrote several memos and letters to Buhari disagreeing with him on some of his direction and policies (check the dates). Some are public. As a matter of fact, it is on record that Shehu Sani, then a Senator under APC, asked the party to discipline Elrufai for challenging Buhari.

There's no evidence that Elrufai would have kept quiet even as a minister under Tinubu. In hindsight, it is that fear of being challenged that made Tinubu drop him as a minister. This is because he knows Elrufai would never have held back in disagreeing with him no matter the consequences and Tinubu hates being challenged. He dropped Wale Edun as Minister for countering him on revenue target. Elrufai kept saying towards the end of his tenure that he wanted to take a rest, it was Tinubu who publicly begged him and made him promise in public to stay behind and work with him and the videos are publicly available. Elrufai is not your regular.

don't mind them

Their problem is that it is not their favorite that said it

For a very long time , about some 15-20 years ago Nigeria have always battled unemployment problem and graduates have always look for every opportunity to do things outside their certificate

Many graduates are into logistics today, hospitality, food, manufacturing n so on but remi Tinubu is saying the same thing today but it suddenly became a crime cos it's not their favorite saying it

What the woman is saying is that get something reasonable doing, it's not everyone that will get a government job
Nobody is saying what the first lady said is bad,but the needful, should be to secure the farmlands,so food production can increase.
