don't mind them

Their problem is that it is not their favorite that said it

For a very long time , about some 15-20 years ago Nigeria have always battled unemployment problem and graduates have always look for every opportunity to do things outside their certificate

Many graduates are into logistics today, hospitality, food, manufacturing n so on but remi Tinubu is saying the same thing today but it suddenly became a crime cos it's not their favorite saying it

What the woman is saying is that get something reasonable doing, it's not everyone that will get a government job
Calling us hypocrites for speaking out against the ongoing destabilization of our country simply because of past bad governance is deeply flawed. Many Nigerians trusted Tinubu to deliver on his campaign promises and end our perpetual misery. Today, the economy is in a devastating state. We refuse to fold our arms and watch him damage our nation further. you’re an enemy of progress to the poor masses.

TBH, you've rightly made an 💯% salient, profound and reasonable points.
.
Now, there's this adage in the Yoruba language (dunno if you're one) which goes thus: Osá bi'o le gbémi...sé mi bi osé bami which simple translates to..."a Diety which couldn't help/support you in times of your needs should just jejély leave you the way he met you". not coming to add more woes/sorrows to your life.
.
All the above examples you gave pointed a finger or 2 at me too...finding a job after service year was so daunting with no hope in sight. BUT thank God we've learnt one or two stuffs about I.T (most especially - PRINTING) before we gained admission which later became a corner-stone I had to lean back on (now raking in cool cash everyday).
.
The truth is that: this is 2026, no country in the world 🌎, and I repeat, no country would be going at this pace/directions Nigeria is moving...would ever make any HEADWAY. This same person who condemned Jonathan to the bone then...now having his own fair share of what he once shouted about (with no solution).
.
No doubt, Nigerians are hardworking/resilient people...that's actually their yardstick for unleashing every of their evil act upon us (they'll be like, lets just give them time... they'll shout and keep quiet with time)
.
This Baba has no vision for the country, he only came to satisfy his ego...now you've accomplished what you've been nurturing in your mind since when you claimed you fought the military during the NADECO era and majority of the populace said they don't want you anymore...IS IT BY-FORCE?
.
Honestly, one can go on-and-on coz it is so appalling and if care is not taken, he would turn himself to an emperor dictating from every corners of his parlour upon retirement if mistakenly re-elected (that is if the cold hands of death hasn't taken him away)...when no be say na Cameron or Libya we dey.
You are an intelligent man.

LegendHero:
If North don’t vote Tinubu in 2027, they still ow SW a debt and that shows that are betrayals.

Tinubu did them favor two times and the north only paid back one part of the debt. Even so, they still snitched because Tinubu only won few states in the NW/NE in 2023 elections which shows North no too do well in paying back debt.

It’s simple, in 2027, the North MUST vote Bola Tinubu. They have no choice, that is the only way they can take power back in 2031 because with or without some of them, Tinubu will still be re-elected president.
Why not start with the "betrayals" in his own backyard in Lagos and Osun that rejected him in 2023? Can any Northerner love him more than Lagosians that he governed for 8 years and the indigenes of Osun where he came from?

Between me and you, who promotes hates, bitterness and tribalism more ? Everyone knows you are the one.

A whole family turned a state in Nigeria into their own company, the family hires who becomes the Governor of Lagos State.
Lagos State is inside their pocket.

And some Yorubas are even saying Tinubu is not a Yoruba person, that he came from Gambia or Zambia there about, that both names and ethnicity is fake.

And you said it's all Okay that there's nothing wrong in it simply because you are eating from their table and it's favoring you.
I read all you bla bla bla bla epistology I couldn't deduced any contextual sense in the whole thrash you wrote up here.

For the thousand time I made it clear ever since I joined NL I'm not for tribalism and it stand so till date BUT I h8te grigory obi passionately h8ting obi as a person has nothing to do with tribalism cus I never said I h8te grigory cus of his yribe which eventually I sadly belong.

Hello I have told you and your fellows I will never ever and ever and ever support obi instead make I die I don't only h8te him I don't wish to see him still walking, its personal he offended us and we go touch him one good day and pay him in full blown nemesis so if you like hit your head on the wall I don't bloody care.

[quote author=AMINDA post=139845937]False. El-Rufai received no dime from Tinubu and that is why he was bold enough to openly go against Tinubu, having seen the direction he was heading. The reason the North voted for Tinubu is well documented. Northerners always pay their debts. Tinubu would have been a hero and somewhat of a false god today had the North not voted for him after supporting Buhari against Jonathan in 2015. Some things are beyond money but not everyone understands that. It's a good thing he is allowed to demystify himself. Nigeria will always be here and history will outlast us all.

Wailer @ it again!!!!

Lately I stumbled on a video by the wife of the president saying youths should venture into akara selling and road side corn roasting and I observe reactions on social media with many insulting her and calling her all sorts of name.

What I notice about the whole charade is that people who insult her the most fall into two different categories....

*The Gen Z who believe all Nigeria problem started with Tinubu

*The political haters who hates Tinubu and his family and whatever they say even though it's pure common sense they will oppose it.

Let me give some real life examples before going to my point, anyone who have been around since 2010 upward or any graduate from 2010 upwards knows for sure that getting a job is one of the hardest thing, infact we joke about it that it's after service that you know the meaning of so help me God at the end of your service year.

My blood brother finished service in the era of yaradua and despite his good results and some connections he couldn't get a reasonable job, he thought about using one of the abandoned station wagon bus in the compound for logistics and gradually he established himself, got married and now into hospitality with 2 solid hotels. When I finished too, I was also job hunting and I dabbled into modern day slavery for 19 months (private school teaching is what I call modern day slavery) to keep me busy, after 19 months I left n started a gas outlet and pos shop, thank God today I am also into logistics and I have a mini gas station.

This and many more are what graduates use in getting way forward in life because it's obvious Nigeria have been like this for long and graduates have been abandoning certificate to get dirty and make money, it never started during Tinubu presidency so what's the fuse about? This same thing happened to my landlord children, they are both graduate but because they both couldn't get a job they now own fashion school, my wife is also a caterer and a big time food vendor, so why are many people shouting as if it is today that unemployment started?

What prompted me to create this thread was one annoying guy that we served together during JONATHAN regime, we finished and he too couldn't get a job, he learnt electrician work and today he has employed people too, imagine him now insulting the government and insulting Tinubu for telling youth to get engaged instead of waiting for government when it's obvious it's not everyone that will get a government job.

I asked him one question "u always shout Jonathan era was the best, y didn't u get a job then?
Why don't you wait for Jonathan to come and give you job?
Why did you get something doing instead of to sit down and blame the government everyday.

Like seriously what pisses me off about critics of today is that they are just hypocrites, when you hear them talk you will think all Nigeria problem started with Tinubu,no be one person be president when fela sang international thief thief?

No be one person be president when dagrin sang democazy?
No be one person be president when eedris abdulkareem sang Nigeria jagajaga?

Why do some people now present it as if all our problem started in 2023?

We that have been around for long knows many problems Nigerians have faced and are facing so it's annoying to always talk as if Nigeria started
Interesting write up👍, but please when are you holding the president accountable for the 3million jobs he promised to provide when he was campaigning to be the president or is selling kuli kuli and agbado the jobs he was referencing.

Btw, i don't insult Bola Tinubu cos i have benefited from him especially during his years as a governor of Lagos State,so i don't have any reason to insult him plus he is like a father to me. Very very elderly man.

Maybe you mistake people that insults him on social media as me! Besides he is not going to rule Nigeria forever, na him own time be this now just like Buhari did his own and he is gone.

You insult people on social media like a child i mean a secondary school child. You don't talk like an adult at all! You talk like a paranoid teenager. I bet you're not busy with anything meaningful rather than holding your phone looking for Obi or Igbo news.

Just look how elderly man like you is hurling insults on someone you don't know in person sad

From your writing and replying, it shows you are not a happy person in real life. Is not hard to know at all!

Nigerian politics has been a sham for many decades and governments. It won't end now, it won't end tomorrow.
Nevertheless, the present govt must collect because the ppl have seen what they are doing and none of it has benefited the citizens.

They employs who ever becomes the Governor in Lagos.

Yes, you are right that things are difficult but saying nothing citizens have benefited is wrong.
The greatest thing a govt can provide for its citizens is a conducive environment for them to thrive.
Some benefits include Nelfund being enjoyed by more than a million dillgent students, free technical colleges with #22,500 stipend monthly, free maternal services in 154 federal hospitals, free health care for all pensioners etc.
No govt can ever meet the needs of all its citizens but the greatest gifts that will enable light, food, health etc be all over the nation, is infrastructures.
It is infrastructures that made Dubai,South Africa,USA etc attractive and prosperous more than your country.

Anybody you see mocking a small business is either a civil servant or a salary earner who has no idea how a small business can grow big someday.

The First Lady is absolutely right—small capital can start a business and change lives.

I know many Akara sellers who are sponsoring their children through school because of their trade. Two years ago, I personally empowered some Almajiri street kids with just ₦5k each to start selling biscuits instead of begging.

Today, many of them are doing incredibly well. Small beginnings matter!
