CrystalTiger:At bolded, Someone who didn't go to school but used the internet to make money like peller can also say the same thing with the internet |

GloriousGbola:It's the job of government to fix education, which in turn reflects in the quality of what people find interesting enough to consume on a regular. A video of two louts smashing a car has an audience...that the audience now happens to be the entirety of the country's social media users is another thing altogether. Peller is as influential as he is because there's a huge market for his type of content. Past couple weeks, most of what I search for has revolved around home decor and design...I check my explore page and that's all I see there, this wasn't the case say two months ago. I mentioned Wole Soyinka as example of dishonest intellectual...I lie? |

raumdeuter:FG should reward the teachers , top their salaries and patronize the education sector way more than they did to the oil industry. Cameroon has poorer gdp and better hdi than nigeria simply because education is totally free there and its mandatory for everyone to attend school. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:21pm On Jun 27 |
Kaczynski:Its the market that rewards. And market rewards scarcity. To be a teacher is not as hard as to be a drilling engineer. That is why the salary is like that The harder to get your skill, the harder the work is, the more the reward is for that sector I have not been to Cameroun before but I dont hear about them moving mountains or breaking any barriers. Poverty is still plenty there and a bulk of their people still migrate to Nigeria for greener pastures |

raumdeuter:Almost countries in asia even india takes their education sector very seriously and compensate their workers very well. https://www.businessincameroon.com/public-management/1212-9762-human-development-index-2019-cameroon-once-again-outperformed-by-gabon-congo-and-equatorial-guinea-in-the-cemac-region https://hdr.undp.org/sites/default/files/2025_HDR/HDR25_Statistical_Annex_HDI_Table.pdf That's because you don't use francophone aspect of the internet. |

Kaczynski:Does India and these Asian companies pay teachers more than their oil workers? |

Talking about Olodo Uprising, abeg what is the entertainment value of those so called "Car spotters"? Is that one also part of entertainment? I mean these guys will go to admiralty way, Ikoyi and other private highbrow areas where elites are known to pass and they would be shouting out their names while focusing camera on the luxury vehicles they drive......Some celebrities would lower their glass to hand them bundles of naira note. Is that not rewarding unintelligent people who pose security threat to people who like to keep their movement private? |

How can grown up people call these rubbish they do in Nigerian school education? Someone that graduated under science med lab can't even name laboratory 🧪🧫 equipments precisely not to talk of mantling and dismantling them. How can a grown up person who tells himself the truth, and who is self dependent on thinking, whose intent is not following the crowd of let me get the certificate, wake up and call the jamborees they re doing in Nigeria government university education? Not to even talk of the after effects of the so called education.. You have 100k so called graduates vying for not less than 50 employment positions, is that the fruits of the so called education? If we tell ourselves the truth, the so called education in Nigeria is just many people just following the status quo of let me go to university and let me get the certificate. There is practically nothing been learnt there and there is no after incentive involved after the whole charade. Evidence is how disorganised, dirty, unproductive and chaotic the whole Nigerian system is. Only few private schools offers real practical education and those are out of the league of most common Nigerians. Let people be abeg |

BlueRayDick:Daddy: Son, what do you want to be in future? Son: I want to be a Car spotter like Olutimi. He has a lot of followers, and he sees a lot of fine cars Abeg, how many people talking here will clap and support their child if they want to do this? |

![]() Nah person means of income you dy spoil so ooo |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 4:34pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:He is making money na. You are just jealous. He makes more spotting car in one minute than you do moving goods in one day. ![]() Abeg, how many people talking here will clap and support their child if they want to do this? The highlighted is the real koko of the matter One lady in my office was idolizing Kim Kardashian back then for when she 'broke the internet' with one half naked pose. That is the question one should have asked her - If you admire her so much you can tell your daughter to do a sex tape with a washed up tier 3 celebrity. |

GloriousGbola:So because we won't clap for our kids if they said they wanted to become like Peller therefore he doesn't deserve to exist doing what he does? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:04pm On Jun 27 |
Looking for job and actually getting a job in a country like Nigeria (where there are plenty qualified graduates chasing few opportunities) is a valuable skill you need to master. Nobody will sit down and teach you that in a classroom. If you fail to master it and turn around to shout " school na scam".... The joke is on you. Even people who travel abroad where there are different opportunities still have to strive and hustle to get gainful employment. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:06pm On Jun 27 |
izzou:It's always easy to make arguemebtd online to support peller, olutimi, poetable and co.... But that's where it ends. Most people debating to support these guys won't support their own flesh and blood to choose such path |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Kaczynski: 5:31pm On Jun 27 |
BlueRayDick:Most people don't know what education is, they think it's by attending classes and la cram la pour. Education is simply ability to look at a system whether it's a human body, bridge and understand its logic from first principles without nerding a teacher or prof to translate it for you. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DeepSight(m): 5:35pm On Jun 27 |
raumdeuter:Should normally be true, but in some perverse societies like Nigeria, where professors are paid crumbs, this is turned on its head. |

raumdeuter:Tinubu - give them agbado Onanuga - I can't see hunger any where Remi - go and start akara and kulikuli business Raumdeuter - Nigerians have been living a fake life before Tinubu These APC minions no rate us at all |

raumdeuter:So why haven't you called EFCC? Do so and expose his fraud But remember that you are backing a drug lord, and state thief How can you be so hypocritical and still sleep at night? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 5:57pm On Jun 27 |
GloriousGbola:Making Peller the sticker board for Olodo Uprising angst is the easy thing. Adults and kids find Peller interesting, doesn't mean that the bulk of children look to him as role model, and he has a large audience because it's reflective of the quality of the bulk of the population. What structure and opportunities are in place for kids that want to be intellectuals? That's the real question. You can't continue to drum support for governments that have made eggs and other forms of protein luxury then turnaround to decry an Olodo Uprising problem. YOU the Nigerian intellectual is the real problem, and not necessarily a Peller. |

izzou:When you were growing up you saw Fela smoking jumbo weed, you saw Charlie boy posing naked Which one did you want to be like? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 6:34pm On Jun 27 |
GloriousGbola:The point is why we have parents to model who they want their child to be and not leave that to TV celebrities You grew up watching Fela Shabaranks Charlie Boy, Abacha Lexington Steele Mandingo etc who achieved great success in their careers which one did you say you wanted to be like? So why should this colleague want her daughter to be like a TV star and not like the mother |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 6:37pm On Jun 27 |
Theflint1:I wonder why its random Internet celebrities that you think your kids would model after and not their parent |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 6:40pm On Jun 27 |
raumdeuter:None My parents also did not tell me that Fela and Charlie boy were standards to be emulated |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 6:44pm On Jun 27 |
DeepSight:Point to a country where professors are paid more than industry people(In engineering, Finance or medicine) Average American professor salary is $95k to $110k The average Petroleum engineer starter salary is either that or slightly more I dont even have to go into other careers like in Wall Street or Medicine |
