You don't break rules but you concluded everyone promotes anyhowness in Nigeria?

What makes you think you are the only different person?

And if you say everyone does, doesn't that include you?
VaselineCrew:
I have done over 200 pickups at that Palms mall and I have never blocked that entrance with my car.

It’s just my principle. Same way I don’t run traffic lights, but in Nigeria, everyone promotes anyhowness,

That’s why Engineers will build bus tops on Ozumba, but buses will not stop there and people will rather go stand on the main road.

They already made a bus top for you with chair and shade, they rather not use it.

What I find puzzling is how a regular God fearing human will refuse to walk 5 steps and instead cancel the ride.

ITS LIKE PARKING JUST BEFORE A HOUSE GATE, so you don’t block the gate itself. So you just park right next to the gate driveway, like right next to it. Then the person that is right next to you at the gate driveway is like, I can’t walk 5 steps to meet you.

God forbid the demons in this country.

You are there forming high class girl, but you are nothing but a retard

Just a figure of speech

However, just look at the society bro! It’s evident in almost all areas of driving, how a majority is disorderly.

Obviously, there are few that follow driving rules and courtesy, but it’s like a select few.

Some might not be even realize they are being undisciplined. Some bus driver that stops on the road, might not even realize how he is causing pain to so many cars behind him that starts a chain reaction of slow traffic

Abeg dear house. Help my friend get back his money from this wicked indriver. My friend mistakenly sent him 81000 instead of 8100, na so baba refuse to pay back, none respond to my friends call.
Indrive will take about N1500 from the 8k you were to pay. His take home would have been about 6k. FFS 6k for driving 26km from VI to a traffic riddled Addo road? This hustle is the biggest modern day slavery in Nigeria at the moment . Even if you are on CNG, does 6k take home amount to labour and time? If the car was yours, would you pay someone 8k to drive you from VI to Addo in your own car and fuel?

There's no explaining why he bolted with your money. The fair deal for this trip is 15 - 20k in the prevailing economic situation. Maybe you should negotiate with him to return 60k to you. He may listen to that offer. Otherwise, just take it as karma.

To be honest that’s not a point I’m sure they agree before taking off
If I should accept the trip in the first place i don’t have right to hold his money due to a mistake of transfer

Let be honest and stop being biased please the driver is wrong

Got a pickup at Palms mall Oniru

I get there, park at the drop off area, just 5 steps before the main entrance that pedestrians walk through.

Lady did not agree to walk those 5 steps, telling me to drive forward and block that entrance to pick her.

Not a metaphor, I’m talking about LITERALLY 5 steps. I am talking, if she stretches flat, she could touch my car bumper. I’m talking 1,2,3,4,5 steps.

Na so the lady cancel oo.

Thank God I got another ride. My God hasn’t failed me yet.

The wickedness and entitled mentality of some of these passengers ehn!

Before getting another ride, I saw her request again when I had left, and I was like:

So you rather stand there for 20 mins than take 5 steps towards my car?

Some of these people want to make you feel small, don’t let them.

Not saying to be proud, but please, dont let strangers treat you like dirt cause they “ordered” for a ride
Na Kumuyi this post go vex pass grin

They didn't agree to anything. The fare was imposed on him by the app. I'm sure that trip lasted over an hour. I'm also sure this person was dropped inside a pool of water where he lives. Coming out of Addo road is another story entirely. All these were collateral damages the driver ignorantly may not have envisaged. Who pays for these damages?

Never mind the wicked rider was well aware of all these, knowing how bad Addo road is, knowing that he lives inside the ocean. Regardless, he was comfortable in the back seat paying an atrocious amount. Then karma struck.

I'm not saying what the driver did was right, neither am I encouraging it. Sometimes, jungle justice becomes acceptable where there's no justice or fairness.

I'm pretty sure some people that drive don't come out for those fares the apps display, they simply look out for opportunities to increase earnings, that was the driver's moment. He took it, right or wrong.

Truly a tale of stingy rider meets hungry driver, nothing to see here.
It's much easier to get the money back from a 419 than from a desperate driver that accepts a N270/km ride.
Good luck to both parties.

There are schools in UK that initial deposit is $3,500 and it comes with a 3 moths free accommodation.

Book your ticket with cheap flight, where you pay less than 700k, then proof of fund with less than N2m, NHS 300k... The rest are minimum.

With less than N11m you are in UK through studies.
Names of the schools please

What are the odds that situations like this happen? 1/1000?

If the rider had successfully sent the 8100 ,who will be the foolish one at the end? The driver for accepting the ridiculous trip or you giving a senseless opinion?

Not condoning any stealing, but na real Modern day slavery bro!!

You haven’t even taken out the Petrol from the amount.

At the end, driver might go home with 2k from that trip with possible car damage from entering potholes and gutters he can’t see in a flood.

Something has to give men!!

I try to save/invest every single naira I get from this hustle, but sometimes, as a driver I’d be close to tears.

These apps treat African drivers like worms, like poo in the mud!!

They don’t even charge small cancellation fee, like N500.

A driver will drive 4km to pick someone, then the person would be free to just cancel like that? No one cares about the fuel and time burnt!! Rider will just order another SLAVE!

God!!!!

REGARDLESS SHA, ONE SHOULD NEVER STEAL SOMEONES MONEY!!!!!

Wetin make the rider dey stingy?
On top him own money?

We really get hungry and criminal drivers for this forum
Are you really using it's the rider's money to justify them exploiting the low fare setting Indrive permits? Both Indrive and the rider exploits the driver's lack of economic leverage as country hard.
And that was exactly, what I was pointing out, the broken system, this piss show we find ourselves in. The driver is a thief. The rider and Indrive are thieves as well from an ethical and economic standpoint.
No offense, you that sees the rider's action as getting a good deal or just their money is also a thief. See both wrongs, stop doing selective empathy.

Sometimes I think k about this guy and his car!

May God help him get back on track men!!

Some riders will even be encouraging you to enter flooded streets all for N2,000.

However, no rider will contribute N800,000 to buy you a new engine. Heck I don’t even want a new engine, I like mine as is!

They will just tell you, “kpele” and enter their house.

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by VaselineCrew: 2:53pm On Jun 28
Lagos roads are death traps men.

If you’ve driven in another country before then drive in Lagos, you could lose your mind!!

How can there be life ending holes on almost every street?
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by TheModerator: 3:09pm On Jun 28
8k from VI to Badore. Na fuel money be that or what. You assume people are fools. I can't even call the driver a theif. He may not have known the extent of the journey until he got to destination. You can imagine the feeling of being used which happens quite often in this hustle. That feeling can prompt anything.

Most of you are rushing to convert your cars to CNG rather than demanding what is just and right. No self worth. The rider doesn't know who is on CNG. To him, he looks at you as a dummy for agreeing to take such trips and prices.

The real thief here is the one that tried to play a smart one on the system. He got what he deserved.

Do you get? Nobody is siding the driver but people don't understand that some actions or prices just filter you to witness trouble. See another example, last week, one of my guy went to pick order, na so the guy dey shout dey insult for my guy ontop phone in phonetic with American accent say my guy no know road, when na him no give better directions. My guy cautioned him and on seeing him he only picked him because his partner was heavy (pregnant). Guess what, after my guy dropped him off, the wife forgot her phone in his car.
