The imaginary God didn't gave Moses any imaginary ten commandments, the story of Moses is just a fairly tale, not real.

God , Satan, Jesus Christ, Angels and demons doesn't exist, there's no reliable concretable approvable evidence of their existence,

heaven and hellfire is just a figment of imagination, it's not real.

Open your eyes and free yourself from religious bondage.

Those first four commandments scream about the vanity and ego of the God in question. They scream,ME!ME!! and only ME!!!
Don't you find it incredibly strange that there is no condemnation of a evil vice like slavery in these ten commandments?
thou shall not steal, oh don't you understand that forced slavery is stolen freedom?
Why don't you understand that?
Re: Morality and the ten commandments by Lucifyre: 9:58am On Jun 28
If anyone thinks morality stems from the ten commandments you're either uninformed, misinformed, ignorant or a combination. To which I simply say, just educate urself. If you only know what's right and wrong because of what's in a bronze age book - which you arbitrarily choose what to adhere to and not - and beacuse of the threat some sort of punishment or promise of some sort of reward... Well you're a grave danger to society, cause lord knows what you'd do if the tiny illusionary tether is cut off.
Re: Morality and the ten commandments by gohf: 10:02am On Jun 28
Goosethetruth:
You seriously need to educate and update yourself. The ten commandments you listed from Exodus are not the total and complete Mosaic laws. The Mosaic laws are found in Exodus, Chapters 17, 22,24,and 34. They are also found in Deuteronomy,Chapter 34. Leviticus,Chapter 26. Numbers. The book of Kings as well as the book of Joshua.

These Mosaic laws touch on morality, society, purification, festivals, sacrifice and offerings and how to conduct them, instructions for selection of the priesthood and the tabernacle. Laws on the ark of the Lord. The food laws cover clean and unclean foods. The clothes laws cover allowed and forbidden apparel for the Israelites.

The laws may not have been plagiarised but these laws were certainly influenced by earlier Babylonian civilisation.
lol earlier Babylonian civilization. Amazing how you mock another for ignorance while you gloat in yours

I tend to ignore your inane posts in the religious section because of your one track mind but just look at where your one track closed mind took this discussion....Tinubu?! huh
What has that got to do with the fact that the ten commandments are not original to Moses and the Hebrew God? The ancient Babylonians had written the codes of Hamurabi thousands of years before Moses and his ten commandments.
What has Tinubu got to do with the fact that Morality is inate inside every human being or that morality evolves as mankind advances in knowledge and societal development?
What has Tinubu got to do with the fact that morality does not come from words plagiarised and written on tablets of stone ?

I know your usual modus operandi which is to resort to insults or try to derail threads. My last response to you.
You are just running away because you know when I answer you, you can never have a reasonable and valid reply.

For see it now, i have answered you and now you have changed post. In the post i responded to did you say that the 10 commandments are not original?

No!

Nor, did i deny that morality is not inate?

See, you have changed post because, there is no valid argument against the Truth, and so you run cos when I come and say the Truth, you cannot reasonably rebut nor counter it.

Did you not say morality is innate?
So, which land anywhere did not already know and have the laws which you want to claim influenced, The Law?

As you said it is innate, therefore, the law was not influenced by anybody's civilisation, to even remember that God hated those civilisations and wiped them out. So how can He then be influenced by them?

You are just being clever by half.
The Christian Bible and God consistently extole the virtue of slavery and in fact advocates for it constantly. Like I said earlier instead of using the first three commandments to emphasise self, the Christian God could have simply condemned slavery.

Here are passages from the Bible that extole and encourage slavery as an institution of virtue. Please get out your Bible and fact check me!

1.Exodus chapter 21 verses 20-21
2.Exodus chapter 21 verse 2.
3. Leviticus chapter 25. Verse 44.
And if in your usual way of deflection that the New Testament has wiped away the old laws here is the books of the New Testament glorifying and promoting slavery as a virtue.
Please open your Bible to the New Testament to fact check me again!!!

3. Colossians chapter 3 verse 22.
4. 1st Peter chapter 2 verse 18.
5. 1st Timothy chapter 6 verse 1.
Ephesians chapter6 verse 5.

Now you are free to start contorting like a pretzel and start turning Eba and Amala.

I would rather condemn the evil act of slavery instead of being vain and egotistically making the first three laws about myself as if I am insecure despite claiming to be omnipotent and omniscient!!!

If you are clever by a 'full' then you should learn what extole and encourage means before you misuse it like a 'full'

So let those who are wise read and check how did God, praise, make high, glorify, support, motivate, recommend or give a command for establishing slavery

Exod.21.2 "If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything. (NIV)

Humans decided to take each other has slaves and Moses wrote laws to govern the behavior of Israelites towards their slaves remembering they were one slaves. So because a person is a slave to you doesn't mean he can do and undo to them, you shall not commit murder, their freedom belongs to you not their life.

Exod.21.19 - If the injured person is later able to walk again, even with a crutch, the assailant will be innocent. Nonetheless, the assailant must pay for time lost because of the injury and must pay for the medical expenses.
Exod.21.20 - "If a male or female slave is beaten and dies, the owner must be punished.
Exod.21.21 - If the slave recovers after a couple of days, however, then the owner should not be punished, since the slave is the owner's property.
Exod.21.22 - "Now suppose two people are fighting, and in the process, they hurt a pregnant woman so her child is born prematurely. If no further harm results, then the person responsible must pay damages in the amount the woman's husband demands and the judges approve.

God frees slaves and prisoners yet they both still exist.

God nor His church established slavery, the apostles taught how we should treat and love people around us. What? Were you expecting the church to abolish the government of the world?

Col.3.22 - You slaves must obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Obey them willingly because of your reverent fear of the Lord.
Col.3.23 - Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Bro most Nigerians are slave, we work for what we eat and what we wear daily, the rest is taken away by our owners or leaders. The church had no legal authority to abolish Roman slavery, or you want to use your cleverness by a "ful" to tell us how the church would have abolished it or should they have told them, rebel, kill your masters, rape their daughters, hurt them back.

Okay, Peter, I bet you didn't read those verse nor will you read this, Mr. Clever
1Pet.2.17 - Show respect for everyone. Love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God. Show respect for the king.
1Pet.2.18 - You who are slaves must accept the authority of your masters. Do whatever they tell you--not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are harsh.
1Pet.2.19 - For God is pleased with you when, for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment.
1Pet.2.20 - Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient beneath the blows, God is pleased with you.
1Pet.2.21 - This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps.

1Tim.6.1 Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. (NLT)

Or serve so well, wait that's what Joseph did and some how he ended up in prison nah, he passed through the prison and became the prime minister of the greatest nation of that era.

The gospel was also for the slaves not for them to be enslaved but for them to find freedom even in humanly caused situation, to focus on serving God and look at their situation as an opportunity to show God's love. Whether you are free or a slave.

Eph.6.5 - Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.
Eph.6.6 - Work hard, but not just to please your masters when they are watching. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart.
Eph.6.7 - Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Eph.6.8 - Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.
Eph.6.9 - And in the same way, you masters must treat your slaves right. Don't threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

Lies from the Bible ivus like you created

What those passages said are "servants" and service and servitude is lawful.

Here are where God condemns slavery

1) Leviticus 19:18 "Thou shall not steal (whether persons or things. Exodus 20:15/17 expanded its scope) neither deal falsely".

It is dealing falsely to take a houseboy/girl for service which is what you told their lawful Masters (parents) only for you to turn them to slaves in your house and beating and evil treating them.

2) Leviticus 25:17 "Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:"

3) Exodus 23:9 "Thou shalt not oppress a stranger:

4) Exodus 20:21 "Thou shalt neither vex a stranger nor oppress him:

5) Exodus 20:22 "ye shall not afflict ...a fatherless child".

6) Exodus 23:2 "Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil:"

7) Exodus 23:6 "Thou shalt not wrest the judgement of thy poor in his cause"

Not to talk that He even freed slaves

if a slave escapes do not return him. Deuteronomy 23:15

Meaning He is Free.

Another Proof that God is Against Slavery and Sought the freedom of Slaves

Eph.6.9 - And in the same way, you masters must treat your slaves right. Don't threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.
Not to talk about the fact that he is talking of the period when slaves were equal to animals and furniture.

Enslaved people were legally classified as property, or "chattel." They were stripped of fundamental human rights and could be bought, sold and inherited.

So, God's Laws were the morality of that period

Goosethetruth:
Does the Christian God and his religious book encourage and promote self vanity or not? Does the Bible advocate violence and genocide on innocent people? Does the Christian God promote narcissist behaviour? Does this God encourage human sacrifice? Does this God advocate for slavery as an institution? Does this God advocate for misogynistic behaviour towards women? Does this God show elements of tribalism?
I will not use any facts except the passages in the Holy book of this self styled omniscient and omnipotent being.
Don not change the argument. We can do that later. Address what I said wrt your claim.

Stop deflecting and answer the question.

If at all you succeed in making and producing autonomous AI robots, will your rules be about what you want or what they want?

So, you have no logical or factual reason and answer to my question other than emotional meaningless unjustifiable rhetorics!

Interesting.
Don't you find it strange and egotistical that this God spends almost half of these commandments talking about himself and what he wants?
Like I said,I find it interesting that an omnipotent God seems so insecure.
Ignorance uprising

only 3 out of 10 talked about man relating to God

Most of them centered around how you relate with your neighbour/friends/family/community etc

E.g

Thou shall not kill, steal, covet, commit adultery

Respect/honour your parents

Forgiveness

Fanatic uprising,

The first three commandments are about the insecurity, vanity, narcissistic and selfishness of a proclaimed omniscient God when these three commandments could have simply said,THOU SHALL NOT ENSLAVE YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS!!!

Lol...🙂

Well, maybe you created yourself otherwise you won't spew these trash. Every manufacturer, manufactures to meet a need or fulfill a purpose. Automobiles, aircraft, houses, etc were conceived and created by men to serve men. Man was conceived and created by God to serve God. Use yourself as a case study: You went to school to benefit who? You are doing business to benefit who? You are working hard on the farmland to benefit who? It is my prayer for you to realize that you are nothing without God your maker just as a Car in itself is nothing without Men. John 15vs4-5. Receive sense in Jesus name:

Have you ever heard of the FISH BOWL EFFECT?
It is a scientific fact that the size of the bowl limits the growth of the fish.
It is the same thing with RELIGION!
It limits your intellect. That is why people like you attempt to limit an so called omniscient and omnipotent being to human capacity.
All gods were created by minds of men to CONTROL other men.

Lol....😕
