Irony1:You see the way they are desperately trying to make it look like it is only igbos that are criticizing the first lady. I have seen a lot of videos of yorubas berating her and calling her oloriburuku but as usual they want to make an igbo thing. |

[quote author=LegendHero post=139856646]Video of real people in the real world that appreciates 50k because it increases their capital in their line of petty trading. That people are denying the fact that they exist and will value that support is a surprise to me. /video/1?s=46 wuite mind bloging how people like you exist, So you giyz profile and normalize Poverty to some group of people And the best Govt can do is help this people swim and float in poverty .... taken them out of the poverty is not a solution Sudenly Sunday Dare mama sold akara, everybody mama in APC sold akara to raise them, Can sunday dare compare the cost of living and standard of living in her mother days to the inflation rate we have Akara is hot demand, Buh how feasible is akara sales to meet your basic bills, We see this women that sell aksra, some we know there, home, their children they are in poverty ...they eat what they see not ehat they want That is the life President wife that bought cars for apc women nd ask they flaunt wealth ... feels is okay if she can help certain people to swim & float in poverty the cost of living no matter how you try to cut bills, You can't eat good meals selling akara, even your children can wear good cloth talk of proper scholl |

Ttalk:We joined our mother to hawk cooked eggs at motor Park in Ijebu Ode on old Ondo Ore road (not the new express) where all these buses to the East and Midwest used to pass in 1975. My mother trained 5 of us with eggs money. What's wrong in selling akara? I think the first lady was misunderstood. |

Tareq1105:Many people criticizing the First Lady are doing so purely because of politics. How much of their poor family members have they empowered, abi they don't have poor people in their family? |

His mother sold akara so everybody's mother should be selling akara, kulikuli or orange? Why isn't he selling akara and training his children from the proceeds? |

The issues with these Akara, kulikuki and others is not because they are bad, the Igbos even do more Akara business than Yorubas, Igbos might not be in agbado roasting and hausas sell Kulikuki. The problem people have with Remi Tinibu is because, is that the achievements that should be coming from President wife. Just last week she was giving cars to part officials , and to the rest of Nigeria, Agbado Kulikuki.and.Akara, Haba, Remi Tinubu fear God o. Just keep quiet and let the unknown in your group make all these statements |

Wickedfacts:Parents fry akara and suffer to train kids cos they want them to turn out better and relief them of the stress and poverty. Not for you to continue frying akara. If you are balanced as a man, you would rather place ur mum on monthly stipend that let her go out frying akara. |

chidiokay:Quit betting bro, it will do you more good. I know things are expensive, but 150k from one side when the husband too will be working so let’s say N300k gross monthly should still be manageable for food, shelter, and clothing. That’s what that woman was making on the period of her lowest sales. |

You're trying to compare the past economy to the present economy ? That's what our First lady should think about before making such comments. |
| Re: Sunday Dare: My Mother Sold Akara, I Carried Bananas On My Head (Video) by Eriokanmi: 6:12pm On Jun 28 |
Unfortunately, the akara comment isn't defendable. When nemesis wan catch up with you, the devil will first cause you to start misbehaving. If Chinese government had been empowering their citizens with akara, would thay have been so developed today? Shioor |

This is so unintelligent Your mother sold akara so that you won't need to sell banana forever. Are your kids selling akara or banana? Is your mother still selling akara? In an ICT generation where countries younger and less advantageous like nigeria but yet, making inroads in robotics and AI. When advanced countries are thinking of how to get countries that are cheaper in the skilled labour force like china, our leaders are making archaic comparison with their past! The unfornate part is that there are some Nigerians that will applaud this insensitive statement! |

Akara business is not new, Nigerians have been doing the biz for ages. The first Lady cannot be talking about akara business as though she is sharing a ground breaking idea? Even I as an individual have helped some people start akara business in the past. This is not economic empowerment, it's just a way to help people manage their poverty. We need real economic empowerment policies, we need an enabling environment to thrive. Akara business is a joke and an insult to Nigerians. |
