With the explosion of paternity fraud in Nigeria, the need for DNA tests is more germane than ever.
Every man as a matter of necessity, has to conduct DNA tests on his kids.

In Abuja, a peace of mind DNA test costs 270k to 290k. For each additional child, you are paying 150k. The good part is that they can waybill the DNA test kit to you if you can't really travel. They'll instruct you on how to utilise it.
Lagos and Port-Harcourt might be cheaper.

Within 15 to 21 working days, your test results will be available.
That's someone's 10 months salary

it takes a married woman to open her legs for this sort of things to happen, if some married woman learn to just say no, all this DNA talk up and down wont be necessary.

spiceadole:
99.9% of married men cheat on their wives.
And the 40% of married women are cheating on their husbands with men .
It always takes 2 to tango

The money you will use to raise a child that isnt yours for 18-25 years is more than that amount.

I am an advocate of 3 Peace of Mind Tests:

a. Immediately the child is born (First Paternity Test)

b. Immediately you leave the Clinic and take the baby home (Do not trust Nigerian Hospitals)

c. Final confirmatory Test

Three (3) Tests per kid.

What is the test center's criminal and monetary liability if the DNA tests results are later found to be wrong?

Nigerians are notoriously careless and corrupt in almost everything, even in such sensitive things like surgeries...So it's not farfetched for some of us to expect that some of these DNA centers may deliberately or otherwise deliver wrong results which may scatter families for life undecided

So the question is in such instance, what's the criminal and monetary liability of the test center?..
Once test is done and there is serious concern... it is advisable to do it again in another facility to authenticate the first result... its not a must or a guarantee ... it is a thing od choice..
If you are not satisfied with a result then do it again and again to be very sure.

God bless you for this very crucial post. The truth is, I used to think DNA Test cost like million naira or more. We really need to make this post go really viral for the brotherhoods' sake. Instead of her giving you a biological child of your best friend or her school lover met few days to your wedding or just that regular neighbour you think he is just a nice with your wife while you laugh like a lunatic as they hail you as Baba baby on top of a bloody bæ$tárd while at the same time you started spending your hard earned money on naming ceremony, it's advisable to conduct the DNA Test because now, every child is a ßàstärd until DNA TEST says otherwise. Now I need address o🙏

Yes.. and it takes a man, single or married, to enter.
If a man refuses to enter , even if the married woman is useless enough to open legs, such things will not happen.

The women that men sleep with and use to brag that they are polygamous in nature are in "committed" relationships with other men.

In as much as many women willingly choose to allow men sleep with them, some men even use their position and authority to subdue, coerce, threaten some women into having sex with them.

Eg,lecturer Vs student
Oga Vs housemaid
Boss Vs employee

Even when a woman is vulnerable or in need of help/favour,the only thing a man can use to bring her to her knees is to ask for sex.

If a man buys food or drink(as simple as that) for a hungry woman, she is owing him sex automatically.

I will be glad if DNA test becomes free or easily affordable and accessible.. As Mr A is sending "his child" away ,he will be receiving another child(ren) from outside.

It always takes two to tango.
Both men and women are to blame for this DNA paternity matter.
Always blaming women while exonerating the men who impregnate them is you not being sincere.
Like blaming a married man for cheating but exonerating the lady he is cheating with doesn't make sense. If the man says "give me" and the lady says "NO",the man will not cheat.

Years ago while I was still working in Nigeria,a woman rushed her son to hospital. He was very sick and needed surgery. She couldn't come up with the money, her husband also was broke at that time..A man who also brought his child to hospital saw the situation cornered her and offered to give her the money, but on the condition that he will have sex with her...She even pleaded he should loan her and use her car as collateral but he refused.Out of desperation, she agreed. She got the money and her child had the surgery. When she found out she was pregnant, she came and confided in me ,was convinced the pregnancy wasn't for her husband, requested termination but I couldn't offer her such services because abortion is illegal in Nigeria.I don't know if she eventually terminated it or pinned the pregnancy on her husband.

Sexual immorality and promiscuity have consequences.
Re: DNA Test Isn't As Expensive As You Think by profmallor: 12:13pm On Jun 29
I know you ld love to share the responsibilities, but No, natures says no. The responsibility to get and keep pregnant rests solely with the woman. She even has the choice on if to keep the pregnancy or not. Yet, she keeps it but pins it on a poor man whose consent was not sort in the fraud.

I got married to have biological children who know their father, not because I like sex.
Also, because at a certain stage in one's life ,be you male or female,it's expected that you should be married. That's what society expects and accords you respect.

I remember how a senior colleague was campaigned against and tagged "irresponsible" because he was a bachelor at 48 while his opponent was supported because he was married with children at 35.

Sex is not food or oxygen.
There is a lot more to marriage and even some long term relationships than sex.
You have to be very dull to be getting married simply because you like sex.
How much sex do married people even have?

I love your first paragraph and the last paragraph.....

Is shows the level of your maturity and knowledge about marriage 👍

Marriage is not all about sex .
Infact I had more sex when am single than now that am married .
But the singles won't believe you when u say it 😊

Yes African culture respect married people to show how responsible someone can be 😊

Yes as a matter of fact I marry all because of CHILDREN but the rest Na fowl 🫠☺️😌

DNA test is not cheap anywhere in the world. It requires expensive equipments and chemical reagents to extract the DNA, break it down into nucleotides, print out the sequence on markers then put up your results against another extracted DNA. Comparing all that with malaria test where all you need is a drop of blood on a slide, smear it with some chemical and view under the microscope is the height of ignorance. Nobody is going to bring down the price for you, it's not a pressing health issue. If you badly need to do it, go and pay the money and stop whining.
