Very wicked people!
don't stress yourself on those hypocrite that call themselves opposition.

They know the truth but because of petty politics they ain't ready to tell the truth, imagine someone praising obi for giving people 10k but now Remi Tinubu giving vulnerable people 50k is a crime.

The funniest part is that the same people who are always quick to call people lazy for not doing anything are the same people condemning this move.

They will pride themselves as the most hard working people on earth n that they can turn anything to gold, same people are here looking down on petty trading.

Same people who will hail a boy hawking gala n malt in traffic are the same people now talking down on them

Politics will take u where u no know

Re: She Built A House, Bought A Car And Sent Her Kids To University Via Moi-Moi by Eriokanmi:
The way some people reason eeeh! You're comparing the Nigeria of the 80s,90, until 2014 with Nigeria of nowadays right? Make una dey continue dey defend the rubbish remi had said.

Mid 90s when schooling in Ilorin, my 100L fees for a whole session were 1,663 Naira. The receipt is still with me at home till date. In same period, a kuli kuli or akara seller could conveniently raise her children, even build a house. I remember iyadunni alakara osu back in the days. When going to see grandma in ekiti, our vehicle would stop there and we'd buy akara. She built upstairs with the proceeds. In same period, my school principal was riding 505 evolution Peugeot car while his vice was driving 504GL. They bought it brand new.
In same period, pry school headmasters owned volkswagen beetle cars which they bought with their salary, cash. Is it same situation today? How much is a public university fee today and how many akara can you sell to garner that?

Na God, wey wan deal with remi and her husband make her spew that trash. Nowadays, not even a university professor could afford a used car, talk more of owning a brand new car. His entire life savings wont get him one except he received grants from outside for his research work or he's so lucky to garner some money during his sabbaticals overseas. In my undergraduate days, i knew profs who drove prado jeeps. Remi's comment clearly indicates how far and out of touch she and her husband are, from the masses. So sad. Her unfortunate statement would have made sense, had we been living in the 80s/90s. This is 2026 for crying out loud. This generation that met nothing but crumbs of the Nigeria's glorious past must not take her comment lightly, except they want to continue living with their parents after graduation due to government's failures. When China is empowering their youths and startups with huge sums of money with scholarship annually, someone is talking about akara empowerment in 2026? Hahahahahaha!!!

No wonder Nigeria is in such a disarray today. Even those selling akara today on the major parks in lagos, how much do they make daily? A lot of women quit that business for pure water cos of rising cost. Those commuters in lagos could bear a witness to this. Before, akara sellers would mob at you via the window but now, its pure water, soft and energy drinks sellers you'd see everywhere. What's the cost of cooking gas today per kg? What of ororo, beans...in fact nobody dey chop beans back in the days. They used to call those eating it prisoners because that's the majort meal for them. Nobody goes to farm nowadays for fear of bokoharam and Niger republic that used to supply us beans to compliment local production had shut their borders against us. The available few is so expensive. What of the frypan, nylon or leaves? It's so unfortunate where we've found ourselves today as a nation. Under Tinubu's watch, naira became tissue papers. The cfa that I used to exchange with naira and my pocket would look like someone who kept heavy stones inside it had left naira far behind now. We're now 5th largest economy in africa, from 1st but nobody is talking about that, only defending rubbish. Isokay.

Anyone defending remi's unfeeling post is worse than an enemy of Nigeria.

cheesy

Please, stop this nonsense.

Your government should be trying to get us off oil and onto the path of industries, not doing giveaway for potential beans product producers.

And it should be the jobs of the states and NGO's not the federal government

Please, stop. Its getting too much. grin

See the extent they are going to just to justify the asinine statement of the first lady.
Let me ask Tinubu's data boys this questions

1. Aside the fact that the first lady has no known business, where did she earn 2 billion naira that she could give out in form of grants? The brand new buses and cars she bought for APC women leaders came from her purse right? What legitimate income source can she rightly point to as the source of that money?

2. Is it not a glaring admission of the piling economic failures of the APC that the wife of the president even has to be seen disbursing grants in the first place? And this outside the purview of established government agencies and ministries that already have grants included in their budget?

Anyhow it is looked it, it is a bad look that empowerment for the APC never goes beyond reinforcing poverty and hardship.

An elderly Tinubu supporter on X wrote a long epistle explaining how selling akara is an extremely lucrative business and how many people have built wealth from it. He passionately argued that anyone willing to work hard will succeed by selling akara.

Then a random guy replied by praying for him. He prayed that all his children will sell akara and roast corn for the rest of their lives and build wealth from it. The guy prayed that may his children never find any other job except selling akara and roasting corn since it was very lucrative business.

After all the prayers the Tinubu supporter surprisingly refused to say Amen. Even after many people asked him to say Amen and receive the blessing, he refused to say it.

Rubbish and Tinubu with his family can't be separated

That Tinubu's daughter that's gay in the abroad should be encouraged to start this Moi Moi business since it is profitable

In fact all Bayo Onanuga's children should drop out of school or quit their jobs to start Akara business

There is nothing wrong in doing those businesses anyway, the problem here is the dishonesty of the person who passed the message

Remi Tinubu shouldn't be the one to say such!

Question for her?

Was it very confortable doing all this with the business.

Tell us about the hurdles and other financial support you get doing the business?

How long did it take u to build a house and is it a house of your preference or a house you build to escape rent.

Finally, do you pray for ur children to take over and go thru the same labor as you did or they should follow another less stressful profitable career path?

N:B: Must Nigeria go through thick and thin to build a house, buy a car or afford goodies of life while some people sit and eat away the resources of everyone.
