Is it for student visa or for what?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Nifemi28: 5:53pm On Jul 02
Yes. For the student visa
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by JOfDMostHigh: 5:32pm On Jul 03
Have you been able to resolve this yet? It shows you didn't answer the questions asked correctly i.e you didn't get up to the pass mark. Do well to appeal the decision. I know of a daad scholar that wasn't given a test just oral interview and that was it.
Sopepurr:
Yes, there was a written test

Yes. For the student visa
Are you a DAAD scholar if not when did you apply for visa

Concerning the question I think you should check LinkedIn for recent Nigerians scholars in Germany doing the same course to inquire the nature of the questions

Not a DAAD scholar but I’m a first class graduate so I’m applying under category A. I applied last week

Is there still categories
I thought it is now centralized. When I was applying I did not see anything like categories

Yes there is. Depending on how you fill your entry form, it’ll either classify you as regular study or student with specific qualifications. The latter is category A

Same here.

After you submitted did you see any option to download the application form, declaration and GDPR? Because i didn’t and it’s on the checklist of documents to come along with for the interview. Also is your preliminary review done?

Anyone with knowledge on this should please contribute.

I didn’t see a place to download them after submitting. Though there are links to download them on the German portal normally. My preliminary review isn’t done yet..they reached out for some corrections so I just resubmitted.

Good day everyone. I just recieved an email from the embassy for the submission of German visa application. And I have just one week to come up with it. I’ve not been able to secure admission yet. Please if I don’t confirm, will I be out back on the waiting list?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Excellent111: 11:46am On Jul 05
Can you please help with such links, I couldn’t find something definitive.

Also if you don’t mind sharing, what corrections were made? And how long did it take for them to reach out to you regarding such corrections?

Lastly, do you have an idea how long our wait time will be till our appointment date?

I’ll check for the links and share. I had 2 corrections; one was to add my transcript to the highest level of education certificate and second was to remove everything that had to do with my bsc from the school reports. They got back to me in 7 days..and I also heard you’ll get to pick your date yourself..so you’ll probably be presented with some available dates and then you’ll pick

Pick partial scholarship and then put your certificate as the scholarship proof and then your actual proof of funds as the other way of supporting the finance

Hello.
I would like to register for a Goethe exam, but I haven't been able to do that myself. The website does not work during the registration day. It shows an error message after opening the portal, and the exam is fully booked after 5-10 minutes.
Pls how do you register for the Goethe exams? Are there German tutors/centres that book Goethe exams for students? I am also interested in 'private Goethe exams' if that's possible.

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible to get a German study visa without a blocked account, but you need to provide an alternative proof of financial resources. Since you're applying for a Master’s program and want to bring your spouse, here are your options:

1. Formal Obligation (Verpflichtungserklärung) – Sponsorship from Germany

If you have a sponsor residing in Germany, they can provide a Verpflichtungserklärung (Declaration of Commitment). This means they take full financial responsibility for you and possibly your spouse.

2. Scholarship
If you secure a fully funded scholarship from organizations like DAAD, Erasmus, or your university, this can replace the blocked account.

3. Arrive First, Then Apply for Family Reunification

If you don’t have a blocked account or a sponsor covering both of you, another approach is to first arrive in Germany alone and then apply for family reunification for your spouse. However, this requires you to meet all the necessary conditions, including:

Having sufficient living space (housing requirement).

Providing proof of financial stability - Your work contract may be accepted as proof of funds, depending on the state you reside in.

Hope this helps
Hello, I am a Nigerian Health Information Management graduate preparing to study BSc Health Informatics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. I would really appreciate any advice you can share about admission, proof of funds, scholarships, or settling in Germany. Thank you very much for your time.

Goethe allows you to schedule an exam date just for yourself, but they charge double of the normal exam fees, email them to arrange it.
Hi. How can I do this pls? Do I go to their office, or is there someone I can talk to?
