Woman Blames APC Coastal Road for Flooding in Lagos

A woman filming a flooded street zoomed in with her camera to show the nearby Coastal Road, highlighting how close it is to the flooded area. She said:

"This is my street, and this is the Lagos Coastal Road. We have never experienced flooding this bad. I love the idea of the Coastal Road, but look at what we are going through."

She explained that there is a very large canal on the other side of the road that never gets filled up. However, she claims the Coastal Road has cut them off, and as a result, the water now flows more slowly. She added that the gutters are not very wide, measuring less than 4 feet across, while the canal is almost empty.

She says, "We love the idea of the Coastal Road, but it's causing more harm than good. I used to think the Coastal Road was supposed to pass by the coast, like the beach, and the beach is way down there, while the Coastal Road is now passing through the city, and it's causing a lot of havoc. They need to put an underpass or something because this is crazy. I can't even drive out! I had to just take a walk with my boots, and obviously my boots are flooded."

The video shows her walking through deep floodwater on a residential street with submerged cars and buildings. She pans around the area and, at one point, shows her boots submerged in the murky water. The footage highlights the severity of the flooding, as she explains that even her boots were submerged because of how deep the water had become.
