The government can’t do too much cos they know that it is a misdirected attack. They are the ones that should be targeted by their people so they are probably thankful that foreigners are they’re to face the heat.

If they do too much the people will recalibrate and face them. They do not want that.

Regarding the focus of the protests, any anti-immigration protest is likely to morph into a xenophobic protest. Moderates might start it but extremists will hijack it. It is known.
You are right Sha, just typical African politicians ; they just have to play to the gallery.

I just hope the various leaders of African countries unite on their matter ; they should make the SA government pay for the nonsense their citizens are doing. There should be consequences for their action.

this is the heart of any anti immigrant movement - the talk about criminals is just packaging.
It's just a shame! The same south Africa that owes its independence to several African countries standing up for them.

Gbajabiamila wan take 48 percent of the entire take-off grant meant for a whole federal department after collecting over 400m from the guy that was appointed, truly this guy capture am well
Gbaja is a thief who feels he's most likely protected by the "powers that be" beacuse he that hasn't sin should be the first to cast the first stone.

I listened to a newspaper review this morning and it seems Daily Trust did almost 3 pages on this Gbaja scandal. From the newspaper review, if naija na normal country Gbaja should not be the president's Chief of staff by July 2nd 2026.

The man heading the council in question called out Gbaja with full chest, gave evidences and even want Gbaja to put body if he sure for am say he no demand the 48 per cent. It's unfortunate that the presidency is keeping mum, the rubber stamp house of assembly is keeping mum and the toothless bulldog called EFCC is looking away.

I just hope Tinubu and his co-travellers won't turn this country to an empty basket before another government takes power in the nearest future.

Ok lets switch then,if your Godfather wasn’t so inept, Nigeria wouldn’t be filled with jobless graduates while his wife gifts luxury to her caucus and throws peanuts at the rest of us.

This is why 90% of APC politicians and their base look slow. No value for education. Just tacky certificates and dirty ways of acquiring power and wealth.
Even Peller you're attaching your agenda to still dreams of going back to complete his formal edu.

There’s a difference between no opportunity and choosing to drop out.Our Nigeria,or dare i say African problem is we think money is everything or need i say Inferiority complex masked with riches. That’s why we consume and can’t produce.

Let me ask you, would you rather be - Bill Gates/Elon Musk or Einstein/Tesla? Your answer will tell me everything.
So before Tinubu became president in 2023, Nigeria was not filled with jobless graduates?

You chose to get a uni education, No one forced you to. Tinubu did not force you to go to university, if uni education wont meet your future goals then dont get it

Wetin dey mad me for the whole scandal na say Gbaja create agency out of nowhere, still put am for budget, haba na..So like this now, how many of such agencies does he have because it can't be just this one alone.. He's not even bothered to deny at all..

Until there's like death sentence for embezzlement of public funds, we can't make any progress.. There's fresh $5bn loan coming in which I can't even say will be of any benefit to the ordinary Nigerian.. They've already given Chagoury his usual contract without any due process..

This country is finished!

This Tinubu and his co-travellers have done worse looting than the people they were accusing in the past.

Because the bulk of the end users are based in lagos

Intels port has been in port Harcourt since the 2000s and nothing stops anyone from using it

Your kinsmen form the bulk of importers in Nigeria and NOTHING stops them from investing in a private port if it is really an issue.

The bulk of buyers for a large number of imported goods is Lagos. So why would I ship my goods to another port and then incur additional costs moving them to Lagos when I can just ship to Lagos immediately?
Port concession means that the government can restrict the development of ports.

There is a reason FG over the years have been unwilling to allow the upgrade the ports in the SE.

They know that Lagos will lose it relevance.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 7:50pm On Jul 01
Daddy Kumuyi says we should blame God for the high level of in security in the country and stop holding Tinubu responsible.

Should not God judge him?

Tinubu has really exposed a lot of things in this short time

Where is the water to develop the port in the SE?

I believe that all these talk about building a seaport in the SE na just talk. The possibility is little. How do you want to dredge River Niger, to accommodate one RORO? Even Ibeto went to PH to build his own

And yes, Raum is right. Apart from Lagos having the larger market, it is also nearer to more than half of the manufacturing industries in Nigeria. Also, shipping lines trust Lagos as a safer place to berth, than other states.

Its the same reason why every airport is "International" in Nigeria, but Delta, United and many foreign airlines will either land in Lagos or Abuja. You cannot force them to land anywhere else

You making me feel your education is a fraud. No wonder you are comfortable with a certificate forger.

I said over 95% of imports go through Lagso. So you want to tell me that over 95% of imported goods are sold in Lagos and that the rest of the country of dealing with less than 5%?

If rather be olodo to a JS3 drop out than a fraud who graduated from a school before it was established.
See as you dey disgrace yourself. I doubt Peller sef will state this nonsense. Which schools certificte did he forge, Or which school has come out to say he forged their certificate. Where did you get 95% import in Lagos port from? A key haracteristic of olodo uprising is plucking stats from the air

Lekki Port emerged as the leading port in Nigeria, handling 40.6 per cent of the nation’s total cargo throughput. Onne Port followed with 19.1 per cent, while Apapa Port accounted for 16.7 per cent.

Beyond cargo volume, Lekki Port also attracted the largest vessels, with an average Gross Registered Tonnage of 55,712, slightly higher than Onne Port at 53,022 GRT. Apapa and Tin Can Island Port received ships averaging 33,251 GRT and 36,909 GRT, respectively, while Delta Ports handled vessels averaging 17,414 GRT.

Yes except Adidas where you must go half or one size up as Adidas running shoes always pinch the small toe due to their aggressive taper. This is at least true for their Evo series which are their premium running shoes. Adidas Adizero EVO SL still remains the best Western running shoe almost 2 years after release and their price has come down massively. You can pick one up for £80 or so now, but go full size up or at least half size up. Be warned, it's for running only as the durability of the outsole is low so would be a waste to wear it out for walking. It's also a bit unstable for heel strikers. I'm a midfoot striker so have no issues with it except the sizing issue. I had to give mine out to my uncle cos of the sizing issue but it was so good, I'm considering buying another one a full size up.

But if you have AliExpress or Chinese sites, they tend to have the better shoes

If so, Lining Red Hare 9 Ultra should be your number one pick hands down. Adidas EVO SL is second to these.

But if cost conscious go for Qiaodan TG 1.0 especially if it's on deal. It usually retails at £65 but I picked it up on a sale at £41, and bought the same pair for my brother too. But even at £65, it runs like a £150 Western shoe like an Asics Novablast series. Did a 17km run in it today with 100% comfort.
Bless! I go share updates on performance after purchase. Cheers

Nice one.

Mizuno Neo Zen is also a great and competing option at the same price range if you find it for better price.

You can get the Adizero EVO SL for £80 here

https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/adi19232/adidas-adizero-evo-sl-men's-running-shoes

Or the Mizuno Neo Zen for same price here

https://emea.mizuno.com/eu/en-gb/mizuno-neo-zen/J1GC25865109%2B.html

I just copped their super elite racer Mizuno Hyperwarp Elite for my next race in a week and a half. It's carbon plated and weighs only 180g in my size 9.5. I don't usually highlight carbon plated shoes cos they are only for racing, not for everyday use.

Why can’t your Governors put hands together and develop their own port? You people speak as if foreigners are ruling the South East.

You people have collectively elected bandits, armed robbers and rogues as Governors since 1999. Lagos State government in collaboration with some private stake holders have constructed Lekki Deep Sea Port and it’s currently at 50% operational capacity.

What are your own Governors doing in the SE that they cannot replicate this sort of project?

Upon all the SE billionaires per square foot Spy360 is still waiting for the incompetent apc government to deliver a port.

As an aside - Same apc that actually delivered Niger Bridge and not Lamba Bridge. lipsrsealed

Dangote rebuilt Lagos apapa expressway because it was a major artery for his vehicles. Back then we rebuilt roads in apapa for the same reason.

IMHO all that the port talk is just blackmail. With all the international airports being built in the SE, if a governor could build a water port in one term (window of chop) , it would be done.

Like you want us to believe the man who heads a so called presidential council that operates from an office inside the federal secretariat, heads a so called presidential council that has budgetary allocation in the 2026 national budget specifically under the "presidency", heads a council that has an operational single treasury account with CBN, has correspondence between his purported council and the 2 federal houses of assembly, and somehow the chief of staff to the president has the faintest idea about the conman?

Haba now!

The fact that he's person of questionable character doesn't absolve Gbaja of being a person of interest in this matter at all. Gbaja himself is not even a person of impeccable character; the fact about how he was debarred in the US is out there for anyone to see.

The nonsense press release by Bayo Onanuga few hours ago even makes the matter worse. Smh

It's very possible the man is a con artist who has been able to play his game to the highest level of government, but somebody needs to explain how he was able to open an office inside federal secretariat.

Somebody needs to explain how his purported agency was captured in the national budget; not just under any random parastatal/ministry, but under the budget of the presidency.

Somebody needs to explain how the man's agency was able to open and operate a Treasury single account with CBN. For your information, the opening of a TSA will require you to pass through the office of ghe Accountant General of the Federation o.

We really need explanation as to how he did not only meet the number 6 man in Nigeria, but he had closed door meeting with our lawmakers when he visited the house our assembly. The man was operating in plain sight.

And yes the man made a grave accusation that Gbaja collected some hundreds of millions from him through proxies for securing that appointment for him. He even challenged the presidency to do through investigations. The man fit be thief o, but Femi Gbaja is definitely not a saint on this matter. I don't want to believe he knows nothing about whatever 419 the has been doing in the name of the presidency.

the man is an OG con artiste
the fred ajudua and Emmanuel Nwude type

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Nwude

Nwude impersonated Paul Ogwuma, then Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,[10] and successfully convinced Sakaguchi, a then director at Brazil's Banco Noroeste, to "invest" in a new airport in the nation's capital, Abuja, in exchange for a $10 million commission.[5] In August 1997, the Spanish Banco Santander wanted to take over the Banco Noroeste Brazil. The fraud was uncovered after a December 1997 joint board meeting, in which an official from Santander inquired about why a large sum of money, two-fifths of Noroeste's total value and half of their capital, was sitting in the Cayman Islands unmonitored.[4]

This led to criminal investigations in Brazil, Britain, Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United States.[5] To guarantee the sale to Santander, the Simonsen and Cochrane families, the owners of Banco Noroeste, paid the $242 million bill themselves. However, Banco Noroeste collapsed in 2001.[11]

Nelson Sakaguchi was later arrested at New York's John F. Kennedy airport and dispatched to Switzerland to stand trial on charges relating to setting up bank accounts there as part of the fraud.[12]

This one goes beyond posing as NNPC official . Do you know what it takes to open a Treasury Single Account with CBN as an agency of the federal government? It means the office of the Accountant general cleared the agency before CBN opened the account.

Do you know what it means to have budgetary allocation in the 2026 Budget of the country?

I think we are trivializing the issue when we just say " The man is an OG con artiste ". We should be talking about how he's able pull all that off in plain sight ; he definitely has accomplices in the top hierarchy of the presidency. He has mentioned Femi Gbajabiamila and openly accused him.

The presidency should first and foremost suspend Gbaja and carry out a thorough independent investigation instead of the nonsense Bayo Onanuga's press release if they have any integrity remaining.
