Penguins, dolphins, giraffes, sheep, flamingoes.

That's why gay men are so good looking.
Using the 'gay behaviour is ok because animals do it' argument is not one i like because at the end animals do things that by human standards would amount to human rights abuses or evil behaviour.

Take dolphins. Male dolphins kill baby dolphins so that the female starts ovulating again and then they can mate with her. If a male human behaved like that to a nursing human mother, that would amount to two crimes, rape and infanticide.

(The guy you responded to has a flawed argument as well. Goats will mate with any female goat they see. That's not how gay humans behave.).

…and somehow they’ll look at men from other regions as infidels. Islam tolerates such as well as our indigenous culture. Noise regarding attacks on gays started in 2015 — all for political benefit. Since Jonathan left office, attack a gay let him report you what police will do to you will remain between you and God.
You are right, people think that the homosexual law Goodluck Jonathan enected which is 14 years imprisonment is still in effect and if you think it's still in effect let police catch you for assaulting setting-up gays you will even be the one that will end up in jail you thought that was made for gays hahaha

You may be right but my comment was based on what an elderly man told me. The man said his father, who was a banker then in Kano state, he said despite his father years of experience, he didn't get the promotion just like his mate.

His reason was that the Oyinbo person who heads their bank/branch want to perform sodo with him which he refuses.

nairalanda1:
It predates the colonial times, heck it even goes back to long before Islam came to Kano.

(Keep in mind that I am discussing history, I am not here to attack anybody's tribe or religion).

A lot of tribes in subsaharan Africa did do 'a bit of gay'. It does not mean it was acceptable...but it happened.(and it wasn't acceptable in the vast majority of tribes)

If anything, the colonial masters brought in laws that codified homo behaviour as criminal activity...our current law is descended from English laws against 'sodo..my' in the 19th century.

Let's all accept the world is diverse - different races, albinism, height, hair, eye color, blood type, etc...

So why can't there be different sexual preferences? Just coz something is a minority doesn't mean it's bad.

Abeg northerners and people with knowledge should explain. embarassed lipsrsealed
Yes there is a Ritual behind it especially wealth and political power some of our rich men are allegedly fully into it, some are caught and they escape because of money or high connections ( is a pyramid structure) some are under suspicion but no evidence to pain them down. If one wants to make it big quick is to join the network if one dull in it one will just be used.

That's just an anecdote. Obviously it was just one person, not many white people

I can even say that one of my parents got an opportunity to study abroad for masters because his white European lecturer recommended him strongly on the basis of his ability and did not ask for homo favors.

As I said, some people are gay, in every population there would be a tiny percentage of people who are gay. Including colonizers and oppressed.

I'm not talking about that, just saying that I don't like it when people bring in animal as 'proof' that being gay or straight is normal...or something.

LIke someone saying 'I have never seen a male dog attempt to mount another male dog' RIght, but male dogs that have mounted only female dogs also sometimes attack the puppies of nursing female dogs...so would it be ok if a man attacked a nursing mother's child...because he has never mounted another man?

See the problem.

People are different, but we aren't 'animals'.

You are right though. Why I believe the man story is that homo is very popular in the North compared to the South.

The colonial masters brought the rubbish to the Northern Nigeria.
Nonsense! What colonial masters did what? For your information, the colonial masters are more likely the reason why you don't have the same culture out in the South Western and South Eastern parts of the country today, something that might change soon if care is not taken. undecided

It is found in nature as an anomaly. A lot of animal species practice incest. Does that mean humans should follow their examples?

RandDigital:
If it's found in nature then it's natural.

You asked for examples, you were provided with examples. Now you're in denial.

I have so many questions after reading this article. For example, what do the two quoted statements below actually mean?

I've also heard that the Hisbah who enforce Sharia law typically target bars and restaurants in these areas of Kano for selling alcohol, but rather curiously they have a habit of leaving these dan daudus alone. How true is this?

A elderly man probably told you cock and bull stories of his own. And without reasoning, the facts concluded that colonialism did it? Are you for real? undecided
Re: 1988 Article About Homosexual Prostitutes In Kano (Throwback) by BlackViper(op): 1:08pm On Jul 02
I'm not sure how true that is, because there are similar attitudes towards homosexuality in North Africa. In North Africa they call it Zamel.

The Zamel is a young man who dresses up as a woman and allows his male friends to have intimacy with him. It is very common in parts of North Africa where there is strict gender segregation between men and women due to religious restrictions.

You see what many people fail to get is that homosexuality is a very very old practice in the north, all these southerners doing it today are just learning work

This was my biggest cultural shock in the north

Funny thing they see it as normal and different from being gay

Can’t explain the idea it’s weird sha

I have no problem with anyone being gay but don’t involve underage that’s just my issue

Everyone deserve to be loved and love who they want as long as. It’s mutual and both are adults
You a canal man that is why you write canaly and nonchalantly. You cant be a Christian and write this rubbish. Evil spread faster. I dont hate anyone but I hate the evil spirit that possess people . We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places.

I’m not religious
Even the Bible say all sins are equal

Would you bring your daughter to be stoned to death if she marries as a none virgin ?

Would you bring your stubborn child to be stoned to death ?

Hope you don’t wear cloths of different materials?

You can’t choose some laws while ignoring others

I can’t understand why a straight man would be angry with a gay man who is leaving more women for you …. Makes no sense

Do you even understand spiritual warfare? People like you compromise the truth to be friend with the world.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God
