The verified report of Anambra failing to qualify in the $27 Million World Bank HOPE Governance Funding should worry every Igbo person. This a performance-based funding that the World bank is giving to states that meet reform targets in education, primary healthcare, public financial management and other key governance reforms aimed at improving transparency and accountability in public service delivery. Not less than 20 states in Nigeria met the criteria for this PERFORMANCE-BASED grant but Anambra, a state governed by a supposed Professor of Economics DID NOT! Abia under Alex C. Otti, Enugwu under Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and Imo under Hope Uzodimma all qualified for this grant but a whole Anambra did not qualify because he could not meet the PERFORMANCE BENCHMARK. And this is a state in the hands of a Professor of Economics!! During Campaign the same Soludo will tell us that poverty level increases under Mr Peter who came when Anambra state was at the verge of total collapse in the hands of the notorious Ubah Family.

Though I am not a fan of Soludo, his sometimes very irritating attitudes and his unguided utterances but my findings shows that Anambra opted out of world bank loans and grants because he feels is not favorable to the state. i quote guardian newspaper 'Anambra State did not qualify for or participate in the 2026 World Bank performance-based grants, such as those distributed under the HOPE Governance Programme, because the state administration explicitly opted out of World Bank loan and grant arrangements to avoid accumulating debt'. So let's be clear on unverified accusations, thanks! |

AustineE1:Grant and loan are two different thing. The op said grant which to my knowledge is not repayable that's why you must reach a certain performance level to qualify for it. |

AustineE1:Are Loan and Grants the same? The grant is purely based on performance and not by choice |

Soludo’s only focus is to attack PO and to arrest native doctors and fake pastors. His main focus is also sealing market people’s shops because of sit-at-home. Real governance can wait until he finishes chasing shadows. |

AustineE1:This is a grant and not a loan! |

AustineE1:Bros grant is not loan. No reasonable government or individual will refuse grants, especially if there are not bad strings attached. Anambra no meet up be say, Anambra no meet up bros. |

IGBOPROMISE1:Of course the publication also mentioned grant...I think there are conditions attached to the free money(grant) not favorable to Anambra or probably that's what they government wants us to believe. |

What is (Imo ) Hope Uzidinma doing in that list. Uzidinma is Abuja Landlord who rare Govern his state. Soludo is performing in Amambra compared to Uzidinma of Imo State. |

henkey:When last did you visit imo state? Imo is the first state currently with functional Government owned Power Distribution Company (ORASHI) and building a power plant nearing completion. |

henkey:I'm not a fan of Hope Uzodimma. But if you've noticed, Imo State indigenes are now quiet. He suddenly started working overtime, believe me. In fact, he has completed more roads than any former governor apart from Sam Mbakwe in Imo State. |
