Yet they forgot to let you know that in its full glory your Oji River Power Plant generated a grand total of 10MW of electricity at full capacity. My friend please limit this talk to your village kaikai joints as I advised. People have important matters to discuss here not comedy practice session ![]() aariwa: |

esnbrutality:The problem is that since then they are more focused on their fear for Igbos than growth that it has stunted the growth of the entire country . Things like generation of electricity was moved to the federal list until only last year they allow states to generate electricity . Igbos would have repaired and expanded the Oji river power plant and would have become a leading manufacturing hub in the world today because lack of electricity is the only reason for the high number of importation today. Those are examples of draconian targeted at igbos but have invariably set Nigeria and black Africa back because Igbos represents black progress |

Oji river power plant was never at any time the largest in Nigeria. The power problem was not limited to the Igbos. aariwa: |

If Nigerians, especially the Yorubas have enough wisdom, they are supposed to call Tinubu to order to forget about a second term and allow Peter Obi to complete the Southern turn for peace, unity, equity and justice and to also prepare Nigeria for a greater future of unity, prosperity, love and togetherness. At least Tinubu have fulfilled his lifelong ambition and dream of becoming a President, that is enough...he should not let his ill-fated ambition to destabilize and destroy Nigeria and her fragile future. We really can do better with understanding and empathy for one another. |

A wiseman always see the future that a fool can't see. OBJ has spoken the future. What he simply means is that, "Nigeria already has a crack that keeps going towards disintegrating into crumbs". Someone like Obassnjo will never come out to say directly that Nigeria is going to split. In order words he will say it in proverbs that only the wise can understand. Whoever has ear let him hear. |

We dont need to fight any war in Nigeria again. All we need is referendum so that those who want to opt out of Nigeria, and those who wish to remain in Nigeria, can both choose their future |

Former President Obasanjo's warning reinforces a point I made in my undergraduate research: many of the structural issues that contributed to the Nigerian Civil War were never fully resolved. While Nigeria has made progress since then, lasting peace and unity depend on addressing governance, inclusion, justice, and economic challenges through dialogue rather than allowing old grievances to fester. |

I'm not afraid of war. If you know where I came from you won't scare me with war. We are just calm and gentle but inside us craves for violence. |

Sorry OBJ saw nothing, it's just OBJ being OBJ. Let another person say exactly what he just said when he was in power and watch OBJ descend heavily on that person. OBJ is OBJ, simple as ABC ![]() RIALITI: |

Igbophobia:Many people don't know this because that history is not taught in our schools but Murtala Muhammed was the one who spearheaded the counter coup that killed Aguiyi ironsi, and immediately after that coup it was him who encouraged the northern military men to murder their Eastern compatriots in the barracks, he also was responsible for the encouraging the pogrom that claimed the lives of innocent Easterners in Kano, and other northern states. Murtala 's goal was to pull northern Nigeria out of Nigeria with those actions, but he was talked out of it by some British and Nigerian diplomats and intellectuals, and was convinced to support the enthronement of Gowon as the head of state ( there was a reason Gowon was powerless to stop the massacres of Easterners going on in Nigeria at that time, it was because those who made him "king" were involved in it), even then, his animosity towards the easterners and especially Igbos was still unquestionably high and that was especially made more clearly by his involvement in the Asaba genocide. |

brain54:Obasanjo as corrupt as he was as president is still the only two nationalist and detribalised presidents to have ever held that seat in the history of Nigeria. The other one was Yar'Adua but his time didn't last long to clearly flesh out his true ideology but within his short time as president he was probably the best we've ever had. |

Amalekki:This Kai Kai you said you are taking is not good for you. Oji river power plant powered the whole south east , south south and parts of Cameroun before 1967 and population of those areas was estimated in millions so they and industries was were powered by 10mw? The civil war documentary video on Biafra mentions that immediately the Nigeria forces capture Enugu they bombed the Oji river power plant and darkness fell on entire Biafra. The 10mw watts of electricity you mentioned is from google with out any other source or verifiable fact to back it up and google mentioned in the footnotes you can update the information if you have any so mr Kai Kai what information do you have to back 10mw powering the industrial base of entire regions? |

GeneralOuki:Be deceiving yourself. The more you keep ignoring the facts that Nigeria is not a nation, but a country of many ethnic nationalities with nothing in common, the more the so called nationalism of Obasanjo and his ilk will keep pushing the country into bigger problems and rifts. There is nothing like being detribalized. It's fake. Nationalism in Nigeria is a myth. It's only a fraudulent, land grabbing, supremacist concept and tool, concealed in the shell of altruism, used by atleast 2 ethnic groups in Nigeria who are known even before Nigeria's independence to always cry of being marginalized and are never contented with what God has given them. These are people who in this 21st century, are still looking for ways to conquer and displace other ethnicities using the powers of politics, terrorism or both combined. The only way to being "detribalized" (otherwise known as cultural uniformity or homogeneity) is by being subjected to conquest and displacement. We have allowed words and ideas to be used and peddled carelessly for ages in Nigeria while we pretend not to see the consequences of the use of those words and ideas. The only 2 ways to lasting peace and development is for either one ethnic group in Nigeria to conquer every other peoples and absorb them as is the case of the Hausa-Fulani aberration or for Nigeria to be governed and administered, with full respect for the appropriate boundaries, along ethno-linguistic lines. Nobody, or group of people, will allow others to strip them of their cultural identities, land and ancestral homes in the name of being "detribalized", except by the use of force, bloodshed and complete subjugation. |

Tinubu got to power 3 years ago, the last time I checked, Nigeria has existed before that time.. why didn't other presidents before Tinubu develop the seas ports, Jonathan was in power for complete 6 years end yet he didn't start the sea ports. the same OBJ you are praising now was in power for 8 years and you didn't care to pressure him to open Seaports in south south. atleast they should have started and we would have been saying the project was abandoned, no, the didn't do anything and you were comfortable. since you were comfortable then, you should also be comfortable now tll esnbrutality: |
