⚡Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said in a statement after meeting Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri that “there is no scheduled meeting with Hezbollah today according to the agenda of meetings, but if the interests of the two countries require it in the future, we are open to that.” He added: “The discussions focused on developing cooperation between Syria and Lebanon, and the issue of Hezbollah was not discussed today.” In a separate meeting, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun told Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani that Lebanon remains committed to establishing fraternal relations between the two countries based on cooperation, coordination, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

⚡Germany rejected Trump's call for unconditional NATO loyalty. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, "NATO is not about blind obedience" and stressed that alliance decisions are made by "free consensus of all member states", not dictated by any one country.

WriteerNg:See this rubber-stamp clown of a leader warning hez to stay off the street. Had it not been that hez is the real war machine of Lebanon, by now, you and your cohorts would have been slaves in your own country. |

Told y'all early this year that I don't trust Delcy Rodríguez. She's a traitor and have sold Venezuela out to it's enemies. Venezuela's enriched uranium was recently removed and sent to the US. All the western parasites have flooded Venezuela. Now even Israel's IDF is in Venezuela doing God knows what. Women can never be trusted in power. If it were a man, he'd never allow certain things to take place even though they're allies.

WriteerNg:This a reason never to trust women with anything close to power and authority. Those creatures are emotionally unstable. Emotionally controlled and has lots of fear in them. |

Dvdpity: It's why the US likes installing female leaders in European countries just to be able to control & scare them easily. The whole, if not all of eastern & southern Europe is ruled by women. |

⚡Plans for NATO's 2027 summit in Albania are in doubt after the Trump administration reportedly opposed the idea and some allies criticized Albania's low defense spending. A draft declaration for next week's NATO summit in Türkiye omits any reference to a future meeting in Albania, despite an earlier commitment. |

LordAdam16:This debacle will definitely come to a snapping point. Something must unravel. If you closely monitor the current situation, you will notice a palpable tense atmosphere and mistrust between the reformist and the hardliners camp, and the Iranian people appears to be feeling it too and tilting to one side. Hence, the desperation by the reformists to sell the mou to the people through white-livered lies in order to look good before the people. But, as in everything, there is always a point of no return, and we seem to be getting there in Iran. I'm keenly monitoring Lebanon, but particularly the Syrian and iraqi Kurdistan fronts---these are chokeholds that could trash the stvpid mou and put the reformists on the people's menu. The IRGC need to get back on the control seat by fire by force. Also, nothing can be more gifting if satanyahu, for all the madness he is known for, decides to strike during the funeral period of the martyred Kharmeni; such a move will not just blight the reformists, but could pave the way for an overt inhouse cleansing and dejure put the IRGC as head of government with massive blessing of the people. Pez and the Ghalibaf camp must be shown the exit come whatever. Of course, we do not expect Iran to continue fighting in perpetuity, but you cannot purchase peace on the altar of greed and treason. Something must snap. |

WriteerNg:I never trusted her one day. But, how much a choice does she really have, seeing that maduro's own inner circle betrayed him that easily? Yes, she is part of that inner circle but lacks the capabilities to fend off the US naval blockade against Venezuela. No thanks to China that decided to feign ignorance when trouble started, and with Russia tied down in Ukraine, she was always going to be in a doozy. |

⚡Iran dismisses US-led security talks in Bahrain, calls them ‘performative posturing’. Iran has criticised a US-led regional security meeting hosted by Bahrain, after senior military officials from 12 Middle Eastern countries met with US Central Command (CENTCOM) to discuss regional defence cooperation and maritime security. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, in a post on X, said Washington had “constantly demonstrated its complete contempt for genuine peace and security in West Asia,” dismissing such meetings as “nothing more than performative posturing”. Baghaei accused Washington of seeking to conceal the US’s “destabilising policies and lawless behavior in the region” and urged regional states to “remain vigilant and draw clear lessons from the most recent US and Israeli military aggressions”. |

Appleyard:to me, i cannot see how anyone would view the complete nonsense that pezeshkian-araghchi-ghalibaf and even what joseph aoun of lebanon just served and want to highlight rodriguez iran won a war at great cost with immense nuclear and strait of hormuz leverage and its reformist leaders are signing it away for breadcrumbs aoun firmly rejected an iran-mediated unconditional withdrawal gift then you have rodriguez on the other side of the world zero, and i mean, zero military help from the entire axis with a much weaker military right in america's backyard and people are expecting her to be subatai i don't get it there is an art to geopolitics you have to play the long game whether it is in syria or in venezuela her task is to stabilize vz amidst the assault and without any overt, external military assistance while the rest of the axis try to hold the core together it is not fun iran trying to protect axis interest in west asia russia doing same in europe china doing same in the pacific definitely, some can do more (i'm looking at you xi?) but in the absenve of that, let her (and her successors) warm the seat until the big 3 figure out a way to definitively resolve the current great powers confrontation in their immediate spheres of influence -Lord |
